Do knockback effects stack?

I've yet to encounter knockbacks since returning to wow.



Also, in another unrelated comment... I reactivated my 4 accounts, subscribed, and then began upgrading them online to LK.



My fourth account, which is much older than the others, wouldn't upgrade. It keeps saying my credit card number is invalid. I've tried everything from different browers, different computers, manually typing it in. I've even tried different credit cards.



So I've been relegated to alt-land until I call Blizz and get this sorted out. It's quite odd.



Anyway, I'm currently playing 4 mages, and was wondering the feasibility of getting spamming living bomb in Battlegrounds.

I don't really know what you mean by knockbacks. Can you elaborate?

Try it again in a bit. Sometimes things freak out when you're mass purchasing on a single credit card # from the same location.

Spells with a knockback effect, IE: living bomb or Thunderstorm.

Although, I just reread the tooltip for living bomb and it doesn't mention a knockback. Could I have potentially imagined this, several months ago, being part of the spell effect? Or has it been changed?



Thunderstorm specifically mentions a knockback effect:

You call down a bolt of lightning, energizing you and damaging nearby enemies within 10 yards. Restores 8% mana to you and deals 551 to 629 Nature damage to all nearby enemies, knocking them back 20 yards.

Aha... blast wave mentions a knockback:



A wave of flame radiates outward from the caster, damaging all enemies caught within the blast for 462 to 544 Fire damage, knocking them back and Dazing them for 6 sec.



I may have confused the two, I guess.



Anyway, I was wondering if I fire off 4 blast waves simultaneously, will the effected characters only be knocked back the initial value, or is there any stacking involved.

Knockbacks do in fact stack if you can land them fast enough. Spamming thunderstorm on my shams have seen enemy players punted well beyond the 25 yards - its hillarious to watch too! :D

If you try to reactivate multiple accounts using the same credit card, you will need to contact Blizz directly - I think it blocks the credit card from being used for activations / char transfers if the same numbers are used 3 times in succession to prevent credit card fraud. I ran into this when I was transferring my chars after my RAF expired.

Yes I've noticed the same on many ocasions. However I believe it is the result of server lag. And that the stacked knockback effect is not intended whatsoever. :p

Had the same issue reactivating the subscriptions on my other four accounts - it took a minute or two for it to accept each subsequent card payment, and on one attempt I was required to do an 'enter the letters and numbers you see in this box'. In the end it still processed the four payments all within 10 mins of each other and all from the same card.

I have definately seen people knocked back more than 20 yds by thunderstorm. This would probably be because when I knock them back with the first one, if my second one hits them when they are 9 yds away from me, they will fly back another 20 yds from that point. If they are in the air the will go slightly further. I like to change it up where I either use them all at once for massive dmg, rotate over a period of time to keep knocking them away and chaining them for massive damage and potential extreme knockback :P And of course, over cliffs is my favourite situation lol.

PS: I'm surprised keyclone and Fur haven't jumped on you already for creating a new thread on this topic when a few have already been made from when the spell was first introduced, hurr hurr hurr.

Yeah, I've had that happen a couple of times. Apparently it raises a flag if you buy ten (or four) of something in quick succession like that. A phone call to the CC company can usually clear it up.

make sure your bank didn't block your card.
contact your bank, call the number on the back of the card.

I had mine turned off or a block on it until I called them and told them I would be charging multiple times...
I found it easier to upgrade by buying the upgrade box at the store than to do it online because my bank HATED it when 5 or 10 charges come through from the same place like Bliz

If my Experiences in VH on my Warrior attest to yes they do - being thrown across the main floor by Knock backs from the dragonkin on a few occasions
