I just started and it seems I'm missing some starter quests. I tried to skip all the gathering quests and such, but there don't seem to be enough of the kill xx of this mob quests. I'm gnome and dwarfs characters at level 8. So, anyone know some kill xx mob quests around khanros?
Are you using tour guide? The multibox version does not include Khornos, the regular version hass all the areas
Not using anything. Should I get the multibox version of tourguide or will it not cover the area I'm in.
Also, is my RAF working right? It doesn't seem like it is. 100-1000 quest xp for the quests. I've only done like 5 of the killing ones (all i could find) and I'm only level 8.
Another also, are my macros set up right?

And it's really hard to get my paladin up front and tanking. I unfollow, move pally up and press 1 for auto attack, then my mages and priest start casting and stop after 1 cast. Hit 1 again and the alts cast again but my pally stops attacking. Anyone know how to solve this?
I hope I can get some help with all this as I want to try and get another team to 60 while my RAF is still going.
I found that unbinding all keys on my paladin and clicking for him was easier than having keys bound. I also dont break follow I just leave the casters on follow and run in with paladin and start attacking and then mash the assist/attack button with my followers. Of course in some instances there are some mobs that you dont want the casters following the tank but for those mobs I just break follow before running the pala in.
As far as your macro setup goes I use /assist focus on one key then /cast on other keys. That way I can get my guys to focus fire one guy while my tank pics up other mobs. Particularly useful to nuke caster mobs in instances while your tank pics up the melee mobs. /assist focus also has the other benefit that you can switch your main without changing all the macros. If my tank ever dies I have another key bound to /focus on each of my others characters so I can just click over to continue fighting from any of my other characters.

Second, autoattack? You don't need to press a key for that, it happens all on it's own once you tag a mob and go into combat. That's when you need to start using your attacks, seals, and judgements. Look up and study rotations, and start figuring out macros for your guys - I'm very weak on pallies, but I know mages do a lot better using spell rotations. I have a fire mage at 80 who's doing 1400 DPS right now, with a very simple rotation that's bound to key 1.
Here's a possible tip for you: keep the "strafe" keys set on your mages (Q + E). When you run up to the mob on the pallie, hit a strafe key, and all of your mages will take a step right or left, and will auto-unfollow. It makes it a lot easier to drop them off on the way to a fight. With Mages, you'll find as you level they are sneaky little aggro magnets, and you'll find yourself following the mob as it turns around and starts going after your mages. They're squishy, so they don't last long - mages are like hunters - they like to be far away from the fight.
I have read the wiki, maybe I'm just not understanding it. And I have tried the focus thing once before, but it never did work right for me.
Also, my pally has no skill yet. So I have to press 1 to auto attack, which causes the mage to attack and then stop. When pressed again the pally stops and mages start.
Also, I would have more skills, but I've no NO copper/silver or whatever. I bought the party buff for the pally and then that's all I had enough for. Are you telling me I need to go to each alt and loot or what?
Also for quests, I have the macro to accept/complete quests and all, but is there a way to do it so I don't have to click on each alt to open the quest npc? That gets really annoying after 1-2 quests -_-.
When you form your group set loot to master looter on your pally. Can be written right into your invite macro. Will make looting alot easier, if your not looting on your alts then your missing a large chunk of loot.
Instead of using the "1" button for auto attack on the pally, unbind it, and just right click the mob with the pally. It will start your auto attack without hitting any keys. If I'm using a tank/dps/healer with different classes, then I usually have my tanks abilities on the 1,2,3 keys, the dps' on the 4,5,6 keys and the healers on the 7,8,9 keys. But that's just me and I know I miss out on quite a few abilities. Probably why I'm running 4 x druids now since I can do tank/dps/heal with any of the four as needed (they're only 31).
Also, run them to Goldshire, actually to Eastvale Logging Camp, and pick up the quest for killing bears and wolves. That should get you a level at least. My 3 man group (shaman/mage x 2) all started in the Human area and I hit level 8 before finishing up the starting area, and 13 by the time I got to Westfall. I love gnomes and dwarves, but their starting area is right near the bottom for me, along with the Tauren starting area.
I had to invite with my 5th account all my toons to a party and then promote my main as leader since I've got that stupid trial accounts can't invite to parties for 72hours, etc.
I may just restart as humans. I would just run all one class, but then I can't run instances.

if you have the /assist joe and /follow joe style macros, i would consider that level 1.0, the bare basics. level 1.5 makes it a bit more flexible, allowing you to change your lead, in the case where the original has been reduced to a pile of goo.
i would recommend level 2.0, as it removes the need to constantly hit assist after acquiring a new target. you end up making a macro for every targeted spell, which may sound like a lot of work, but you only do it once for every new targeted spell. trust me, it's 100 times better

I take it you don't have any alts to feed your team money? That helps, a lot. I had a 70 rogue with a healthy bank account when I started MBing, and it helped pay for everything while I got started. Now, my team feeds my guild bank. I would urge you to start your own guild, it helps a LOT. If you have no alts, yeah, money is going to be tough for a while, but keep at it, and loot and vendor everything!
As for attacking, autoattack isn't something you need to keybind. You can tag a mob, and your pally will autoattack while you sit there and trim your fingernails, or go take a bio break. tAke it off your bar, and forget about it. Get your talents ASAP. Forget about gear for now, and spend your money on talents.
I don't understand what's going on when you press 1. What should happen is all of your characters will perform whatever attack is in the 1 slot on your bar. If you have attack on 1 on your pally, and fireball on your mages set as 1, you should see your pally swing at the mob, and your mages fire. When you press 1 again, it should repeat. The only thing I can think of is you have a macro interfering with the action, or the key broadcasting software you're using is interfering. What are you using to broadcast keystrokes?
About looting: read what I posted. If you right click on your alt's portrait, you get a list of things, look at Pass On Loot: and set it to "yes" on all of your alts. Set your main as master looter, and he'll loot everything. Not looting the first 10 levels is painful to even think about!
Just an amusing side note to your comments, I was fiddling with macros the other day, and then flew off into Icecrown to quest. I hit my "follow/assist" key...and watched my mage fall down into the depths.Quote:

Went back to ground, and could not get my mage to follow while mounted.
Turns out, I had reversed my macro, so it was:
/Assist focus
/Follow focus
Important Safety Tip: Assist while mounted means...dismount.

I restarted in the human area. Liking it now.
I have the following macros and unbound keys.
Main: Invite Macro
Mage Alts: Accept Macro, Follow Macro, TAB unbound (so they dont target diff. mobs), WASD unbound so they dont move with Main, and /assist /cast [exists,harm] Fireball on one macro
Priest Alt: Accept Macro, TAB unbound, WSAD unbound, and the /assist /cast Smite macro and heal macros
Seems to work ok for right now.
So, I'm trying to fight hogger at level 7 with a pally, 3 mages, and a priest and just got owned. There aren't anymore kill mobs quests are they, is he the only one left in the human starting area?

Darkshore would be my suggestion, as it has quests from 9 on up.
I think for the first 20 levels my mages and priest used the following macro 90% of the time.
/assist playername
/cast shoot
Get a wand. You could prolly beg someone to give them to you for free.
Also with that much firepower behind your paladin at this level. Paladins dont get a good pull spell till 16. You may as well just let them blast everything to smithereens and just heal with the paladin after combat. Also if you have no assets on this server, no gold, no booster, then you will have to pay attention to what skills you buy because if your skipping all the non multi-box friendly quests then your going to be very tight on cash. Pick up some easy tradeskills like skinning and mining and sell all that on the AH. That will help the gold problems.
The first time can hurt, but then it feels good once you get better at it.
