I've had problems with Jamba's following recently when changing master.
For example character A is the default master, I switch to B to do a gathering quest and then back to A. I now press my follow button and everyone runs to follow A as they should, apart from A who runs to meet B. I do know that the master macro has fired on A too as they proudly announced they had control on the party chat.
On a related note is it possible to disable the strobe follow entirely? I tend to end up wanting to be able to move my slaves away manually to gather resources and so forth without needing to guide the entire squad there and at the moment if the follow strobes when I'm doing it they give up looting and wander back to the main group. I have tried setting the strobe time to a very high number but this didn't seem to work, and now use the '/jamba-follow strobeoff all' command to disable it but this only seems to work on a per-sessions basis. Any chance of a checkbox to disable the strobe following off entirely so they'll follow when I press my follow macro? I know this'll mean I'll be leaving more shamans scattered through the countryside than otherwise but to be honest with my style of play I'd still prefer it.
I don't want to disable the entire workings of jamba-follow though, giving us the ability to switch which party member I'm following without using up our precious focus slots was a work of genius and I don't want to lose that! :D

To be candid, I find strobe follow to be horribly annoying and highly situational. Much more common (for me) is to want to move my main (tank) independently of my healer/DPS group to engage mobs a distance away from the group.

I didn't turn it on, it seemed to be on by default. The only reason I know of the command to turn it on is from Googling for how to turn it off, my follow macro is essentially just a '/jamba-follow master all' (if I remember the syntax correctly). I know I could modify this macro to turn off strobe before I do the follow but that does sound rather clunky to me compared with the nicity of the rest of Jamba's configuration.Quote:

Follow strobing is most definitely not on by default. I personally don't use follow strobing. The only way to turn it on is to issue a /jamba-follow strobe* command. Check your macro's to make sure you don't have a /jamba-follow strobe* command in them.Quote:

For non-strobing situations, you should use /jamba-follow master which I see you are doing. If either of you are struggling to get normal follow (not strobing) working, I'll be glad to help you out.

Well, if strobeon isn't defaulted on then something is perma-bugged in my setup.
I issue the command /jamba-follow strobeoff all everytime I log in.
Now, one thing that's been bugging me is in the jamba-group interface for "tags" the tag "all" is unchecked. I've repeatedly checked it and pushed send to slaves but it never stays checked.
Something's not working.
Would something like this work?

/jamba-follow strobeonme all
/jamba-follow strobeoff all
That way it cancels strobe for everyone in case they're following the wrong person, sends one 'follow' pulse to everyone to the current master, then stops probing.
Are you running from multiple WoW folders on one comp, or on multiple comps? Maybe one of the WoW folders is read only and keeps loading the same config everytime you log in.Quote:

I never imagined anyone would do this. What happens if you don't do that after you login? Have you checked all your macros? Is your switch master macro using /jamba-follow strobeonme? If so, it shouldn't be.Quote:

There is no code to automatically start follow strobing. You have to issue the command.
If you are still having problems, delete your Cache folder and delete/move the saved variables for Jamba under each toons account.
You are using the latest version of Jamba?
If I don't do it, strobe follow is on. I'll double check my follow macro but I'm 99% sure that its the standard /jamba-follow master. The reason I'm so confident is because I remember when strobe was added and determining it didn't fit my play style.Quote:

Okay, I tested further last night.
Here's the deal. When I log in and group up, strobe following is ON. I checked my commands and I do NOT issue the /jamba-follow strobeon command anywhere in any of my macros.
My macro that is supposed to control the manual establishment of follow is hotkeyed only on my main and is a one line macro: /jamba-follow master
What gives? :)
Something is definitely buggy on your system. Disable Jamba and see what happens. Disable all other mods apart from Jamba and see what happens.
It's weird, but Jamba definitely does not save follow strobe state, nor does it strobe unless you explicitly turn it on.
I suggest you toast your wtf, interface and cache folders and start over... (back them up ofc).
New version, new issue, didn't run across it at first, but I can duplicate it now readily.
my macro for making a new leader is:

To stop I've added:
/jamba-follow strobeoff samarri
To each character and added their name as a tag.
One thing I've never gotten to work is just /jamba-follow strobeoff (no tag)... which I'd expect to just be local, but isn't.
To fix my problem short of a complete reload, I upped the strobe frequency to something like 1,000 or even 10,000. ;)

post may be little old, but i just started using this follow strobing and couldn't figure out how to turn it off. i added the /jamba-follow strobonme all command to all of my focus macros i created for each toon, now that i found this /jamba-follow strobeoff all command, i'll create one or two separate macros to cast this when i need it and when i don't.

This is the only thread I've been able to find on this subject and what I really need to do is this:
/jamba-follow strobeon master all
I've tried a few things, read this topic a few times - but can't quite see how (if at all possible) I can do this.
I have A B and C. Using this macro for the essential setup of master
/focus Tsoria
/follow focus
/script AcceptGroup();
/script AcceptQuest();
/script AcceptTrade();
/script RetrieveCorpse();
/script RepopMe();
Which is fine. When I want to break the follow I use the direction keys and that's all fine too. But most of the time I actually want strobing on so I want to use:
/jamba-follow strobeoff all (this prevents some of the problems mentioned earlier in this topic with the new master following the old one)
/jamba-follow strobeon <master> all (start strobing on new master).
Which I have bound to my F key. I also have the /jamba-follow strobeoff all command bound to Shift-F so I can turn it on and off as needed.
Do hope I've not missed where this is already covered. If I have apologies and would someone point me that way. If not - I hope for some advice:
PS. Have just tried:
/jamba-follow strobeoff all
/jamba-follow master
/jamba-follow strobeon all
which doesn't do it either.
