Miscellaneous patch notes (undocumented things)

Well, please don't take any of this as QQ in light of the impressive DPS boost to shammies and the EVEN MORE AMAZING FOLLOW CHANGES. But I thought I'd start a thread for easter eggs/undocumented changes in the 3.0.8 patch.

1. Badge of the Infiltrator (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=39811), a blue trinket in green disguise previously, was nerfed from +46 intellect and a flat SP bonus to an on-use spell power bonus.

2. Was Onyxia nerfed? I just killed her and she dropped like 50 g - I've never seen less than 180g from her although admittedly I've only killed her 4 times. This is kind of lame - given the time and effort it takes to get to Dustwallow and the fact that you can only do this about once a week, the amount of gold she drops doesn't seem excessive even for people soloing her.

Not sure if this is new or not, but Arcane Powder (or is it Dust?? whatever the reagent for Mage spells is) stacks in lots of 100 and you can buy stacks of 100. Used to be only 20...AFAIK. Didn't work for my priests reagents though.

The icon for Preserved Holly also change :P

Moonfire has a nice - awesome new animation.
And just noticed on the mage im boxing with - fire ball actually looks like your hurling a lava rock - very cool stuff, sure other spells were buffed up, anyone got screenshots?

Biggest undocumented (by Blizz) change I've noticed is that Relics of Ulduar are no longer bind on pickup and they can be turned in 10x at a time for 250 Sons of Hodir rep. This was on the PTR for 3.0.8 and is confirmed live. I went from ~1000/12000 honored to 4000/21000 revered in *1* day. Thankfully I hadn't wasted any of my relics on those horrible buff items in the Frostborn town. I get plenty of relic drops from the revenants and dwarves just east of Dun Niffelem (is this a play on The Office's company Dunder Mifflim?) while doing the two dailies over there.. usually 20-30 drops for another 500-750 rep.

The "win a wintergrasp" quest was bugged atleast on my server and is now fixed.

They moved the graveyard for VOA inside the keep and i assume that is were the defenders spawn in WG now.

New blizzard animation and the zf mallet is now an actually mace and is no longer needed for summoning. This may have been documented and I simply missed it.

Eternal Earth is now yellow in color

Essence of Wintergrasp buff got a new icon

Those are the only additional changes I noticed.

No low level dungeons require keys anymore, ie. Maradon Scepter, Rining the gong for ZF, and I believe UBRS. Unsure about Strat and Scholo, but I assume its the same.

You no longer need essences to summon MajorDomo/Ragnaros.

The DK charger mount and DK flying mount icons are swapped, i dont think this was intended and will probably be fixed soon.

Mining is now 1 tap and you get everything from the node, makes mining go alot faster! It seemed to me that Cobalt/Saronite nodes were giving more ores, anyone else think so?

The new Healing potion injector now has a unique icon, not sure about the mana potion injector...

Auto follow seems to work much better for me when moving into phasing areas. I suspect they made some changes to enable this.

Still learning my DKs but after they nerfed Death and Decay glyph to remove the cower function my ghouls now seem to stun the target for 2 seconds when they attack. I really can't remember seeing this happen before the patch.

I was having trouble summoning to an instance last night.
the summoning stone was broken or one of my addons blocked it somehow.

oh god this may be the bug hunters currently have where the skill will go off on their pets whether it is toggled to be used or not. As you can imagine, being a solo hunter and your pet cowering is not a good idea =(

Pyro blast got new looks.
precerved holly has a new icon.
opening raid chests no longer has a casting time! yeea!

Pretty much every heroic achievement that involved kiting got the nerf bat in 3.08. Also, they finally got around to fixing the Heigan corner in 10 and 25man naxx.

All of the missing rare gem recipes are now BoE World Drops (hit/str gem, etc)

Related to the chest thing, I also noticed that opening objects (i.e., the cogwheel icon stuff) seems a lot faster. I am not sure if this is from the patch or just the stuff I was picking up since I never picked any of it up before.

Also, the last couple times I hearthstoned back to the Inn in Grizzly Hills the resting XP didn't turn on. If I try to exit, I get the "Do you want to exit now" thing as opposed to just exiting. I noticed that after I left the inn and went back in that wasn't a problem anymore. No clue if this is a bug from the patch or not, but I never seen it before.

Is the Innkeeper in Dragonspite at the "Castle Thing" (sorry forget the name, where the daily is) new?? I don't recall seeing an Innkeeper there before the patch....

Actually the new looting is a nerf to MBers. Before at 5 secs you could loot with one, wait 1 sec, loot with another, wait one sec, loot with another and get 3 pickups in 5 secs. So 10 secs total for 5 characters. Now I loot with one, it takes 2 secs, however no one else is allowed to loot during this time AND there is a small lockout time before it is lootable again. I think it's about 12-13 secs for a MB team of 5 now. Not a huge deal, but seriously did we need another reason not to do collect quests? :cursing:

Yes they nerfed the amount of gold that Ony drops.

It seems like the loot time or "cast time" on world objects has been increased by a lot in many cases.
