Make sure you are using the latest version of Jamba.
Just promoting your toons will not make Jamba think they are the master.
You need to tell Jamba as well.
/promote Toon1
/jamba setmeasmaster all
See if that works, if it does not post back and we'll see what else we can come up with...
I`v got the newest version of jamba.
Its continoue to happens.
What else can i do?
I`v tried to see evrithink on jambas sit, but where can i find all these functions u are tolking about?
PS
Sory for my grammatic. Im from Russia)
Add
/jamba setmeasmaster all
to the same macro that has the /promote in it.
Check that all of your toons belong to the group "all".
I've noticed sometimes Jamba immediately notices I've changed and at other times there is a delay.
Generally this delay coincides with the server being a bit slower. Nothing you can do, if the server is slow to recognize something.
I generally press my master switch (and leader promote) key 4-5 times, just to make sure all the instances of wow get it.
Very rarely, as in maybe once a month, no matter what I do Jamba will have the group follow the previous leader.
Even "/console reloadui" does not work.
Leaving the game to desktop and re-entering the world always fixes this for me.
Yesterday, I noticed the ChatThrottleLib that Jamba and AceComm-3.0 use have a hard-coded value where if your FPS goes below 20 FPS, it will drop its throughput capacity by half. So if you make sure all your WoW clients have a minimum fps of 21, you might see an improvement to this delay.Quote:

Im using this now:
/promote Toon2
/jamba setmeasmaster all
and follow macro:
/jamba-follow master all
New master still trying to follow old one. ;(
I`v got most resent version of jamba. Also iv disabled all side addons.
oftopic:
can u explain me difference between focus and target? :S
Guyz perhaps iv did it wrong at one step.
I`v done 5 macroses for all toons.
Bind it on same keys shift+f1,shift+f2 for both toons.
/promote Toon1
/promote Toon2
and made follow script and bind it on same key for all toons:
/jamba-follow master all
After that new leader follows only old leader.
Ok. So i made some changes (i don give a f**k, what dose it mean:)? explain it to me plz)
/promote Toon1
/jamba setmeasmaster all
/promote Toon2
/jamba setmeasmaster all
After thet if i hit ONE (i.e. promotion of first toon) button 2 times my master starting to cnahge between toons. WHY!?
Jafula , i need your help)
Can u sujjest somthing in this situation?
Ok, give me the names and classes (priest, warrior, rogue) of your characters.
Tell me which one will be the main (master).
Tell me if you want to swap which character is the master.
I will see if I can write some macros for you.
Tauren, shamans:
Toon1 master
Toon2 slave
Toon3 slave
I want to make Toon2 as master. And send to others toons follow command.
Guys iv found the solution to solve that problem.
For your promotion macro u must add that string:
/jamba setmaster ToonN
For example:
/promote ToonN
/jamba setmaster ToonN (iv randomly find this command. iv just try to dublicate same select box from settings)
/changeactionbar 2 (im changing to another toolbar)
Thats it. No follow problems and no lags)
Jafura im insisting on normal documentation for your addon. Its awasome, but where i can find FULL LIST of awaleble commands.
Glad you got it sorted. I'm rewriting Jamba at the moment and the new one will have a full list of commands. In the meantime the current slash commands can be found...
[Addon] Jamba - An assistant for multiboxers. 10th Update - 0.4b released.
Jamba has an option where the team will promote the master to be the leader of the group.
If you switch who the master is, the addon will then have the previous group leader promote the (new) master to be group leader as well.
In my case, my macro's were set up for a party based assist system.
Basically, I page my action bars and have an assist version for when a toon is the slave and a non-assist for when that toon is the leader.
So, my toon switch macro's already had promote to leader scripts built in, prior to using Jamba.
My one macro issues the Jamba command to promote the newly chosen toon to master. This lets the addon have the non-masters follow the master. I use Jamba for the follow feature in particular.
I use the script to promote to leader, as the second line of my toon switch macro instead of the Jamba feature. Works for me, so I never switched to Jamba doing both for me.
I have my Keyclone maximizer region hotkeys on the same keys as my toon switch warcraft macro's. So technically Shift-F1 is a keyclone region key, Jamba master key and warcraft promote script.
Im really sorry, but i cant fing the meaning of "strobe" word in russian dictionaries.
1)Can someone explain it to me? plz?
2) And difference between "target" and "focus".
3) Right now my toons are trying to follow me even iv moved them separatly after few seconds. How i can stop it?
1) Strobe in this case is to do the same thing over and over again. What is happening is that the /follow command is going every 1 second.Quote:

2) Target is the mob your character is currently targeting (to kill). Target is temporary and changes a lot when you click on different mobs. Focus is a seperate mob or player character that you can assign using the /focus command ( /focus Jafula ) and it will always stay on that character/mob. Focus is sticky. So if I want my healer to always heal my tank without the healer having to target the tank every time, I can set up my healer macros like this.
Macro 1: Press once after logging in.
/focus tank
Macro 2: Press for heal tank.
/cast [target=focus] Flash Heal
3) To stop this "follow me even if you moved them seperately" behaviour, replace your /jamba-follow commands with this:
If you have the macro on each slave toon then use this
/jamba-follow master
-OR-
To put the macro only on your master and not have to put one on your slaves; you can use this:
/jamba-follow master all
I hope that helps; please let me know if it doesn't work or you need some more explaining.
Thx juf!) Ur awasome!
Jaf! Can u tell me something else?
Couse everithing u sayde are not working. (((((
They are still trying to follow me.
I'd be interested in knowing where thats at and if it was easily changed from 20fps to 10fps (as I throttle my background clients @ 15fps).Quote:

Also this entire issue seems related to the problem I was having with strobe, same behavior different command... is it possilbe that the current leader isn't being detected properly post-follow-your-tail fix?
You are going to need to find all instances of ChatThrottleLib.lua in your Interface/Addons folder and change this line (its near the top of the file):Quote:

ChatThrottleLib.MIN_FPS = 20 -- Reduce output CPS to half (and don't burst) if FPS drops below this value
Somethings up with the follow and master change. Having a look tomorrow night.

Get Jamba-0.4d and hopefully the problem will be fixed. Please let me know if you are still having trouble.
