I can't seem to find the post that has the discussion about it but can anyone confirm if its still broken and if so maybe how you are getting around it with a 4 X Shammy and Tankadin Team.

/target focus
/cast hex
I think I would have to use
/target focus
/cast hex
/clearlasttarget
I am pretty sure that if you setup your main using focus the macros above dont work. I dont even bother with hex because I use focus for assigning mains. One day I will switch to the FLT setup.
I use FTL so this is pretty much the way for me to go.
I don't use an assist at all or focus so best way for me to get it.
My Alt's don't actually target anyone when I am attacking so this is the way to go for me
Not sure what the problem is.
I use a focus main system and hex seems to work well.
/tar focus
/assist
/cast hex
The problem is there is a bug that prevents
/cast [target=focustarget] Hex
from working. Not sure if its fixed or not - I'll be hitting 80 this week sometime and will try it then.
Who cares?
Write your macro as I show above and move on.
This looks like a winner. I will try it tomorrow. I didnt even think of doing /assist and target my focus guy to cast it. All the other ways fail. This should work so I can finally use hex.Quote:

Or if you use [target=focustarget] for your macros just change them to [target=party1target] and it means you can use focus for hexing.Quote:

Edit..I like having a dedicated focus for cc it means you can re do it mid fight if you need to. Not sure how well hex works but i like being able to re-sheep.
I'm not sure why this works for me, I found out on accident. When i hex stuff, I just target them with my paly, and the girls target his target. when i pull the hex and start dpsing and their target never changes, but they dps the mob I'm on. I use /castsequence [target=focustargettarget] macros. It works well. I normaly hex two mobs tops no matter how big the pull. I target the same mob with two girls and the other with the last two girls. IF hex breaks too early I just rehex, they still have that mob targeted. Wierd.
Now that my paly has 24k HPs unbuffed, I often will not re-hex. I have pulled 5 heroic mobs many times and hex broke right away, so i was tanking all 5 and had no deaths.
I'm at a loss with hex. As I understand it the mob can still move around. Well my paladin pulls with Avenger's Shield and my shaman are all set to randomly target and attempt a hex. Well the hex target moves into attack range of my totems and then they lose hex. I don't want to drop any attack totems, so at this point my paladin pretty much tanks everything and I heal more... I wish it were more usefull.
I hex them right where my paly tanks, on purpose. Hes building up agro with consecrate and hammer of righteousness. The hex gets broken, but rarely. I almost all the time kill the first mob or two before hex breaks. I think it is way useful. At least better than not having it.Quote:

I was thinking about getting Hex setup so when Hex is cast, it will use some sort of "tab" feature in the macro. WHen it is cast, my main Shaman will Hex the first target, the 2nd Shaman will Hex the 2nd target incorperating a "tab", the 3rd Shaman will use "tab" "tab", 4th "tab" "tab" "tab"....you get the idea. Hopefully using multiple "tabs" will select targets in range and each of my 5 Shaman will Hex a different target.
The problem with this is I really have no idea where to begin making a macro to do such a thing. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Great info! Thanks much....I can't wait to give it a try. :)
One last question. How do I include in a macro the ability to hit a key on my keyboard. For instance, I want to hit one macro and have it tab through 4 targets by using the "tab" key somewhere located within the macro itself.
