I'd go with including 1 resto for Riptide and Mana Tide totems.
ya both of those spells seem like they would help just an insane amount. I really cant wait to get the dk to 80 with the rest of my team so I can try that out.
I vote for the 1 tank/4 dps. That playstyle suits PVP servers better (no healer to draw focus) and gives you a little more dps. Personally, I'm going with 1 unholy DK, 1 boomkin, 3 ele shammies; there seems to be a nice overlap of stacking buffs with this setup.Quote:

I assume you mean for pve in which case, yes one resto will be necesary to do most heroics
My pvp team will most likely be 5 shamen while the heroic Pve team will be 1 dk 1 resto 3 elemental
Spec one resto, Equip it with all damage gear. Then only use it for riptide (alongside your other 3 casting lesser healing wave on the needed target), Earth Shield on your tank and Mana tide on the rare occassion.
I also have the key that i do flameshock have the healing cast sequence for the resto shaman. Most of the time though hes just casting lbolts alongside the rest.
When dual spec comes-- do both!
Well ya ill do that once dual specs are in. I think thats a great additive to be quite honest
Basicly, resto to start with, dk + 4x elemental will work, very well even, but it's tough in tarting gear. Once you're properly geared up though 4x elemental is plentiful to mow through heroics.
I'm now running a DK and 4 ele shamans, level 78. Obviously haven't done any heroics yet but all regular instances have been absolute cake, and I can't see myself wanting a resto shaman at all once I do heroics. In fact I can say I definitely will NOT spec one resto. If 5 elemental shamans can handle heroics, a DK and 4 elemental shamans sure as hell can. DK will do as much or more damage than the elemental shamans anyway so the "burn things fast" tactic still works. You shouldn't need a dedicated healer which will only add complexity to the setup and reduce your DPS.
Keep in mind with DK + 4 ele shamans you still have 4 earth eles and/or 4 fire elementals for extra tank/DPS as needed.
