Wanting to buy a pc that handles 5box well..

basically.. any kind of sujestions on tec+specs and price id need to be spending on this kinda of pc..

basically i dont want lag running 5wows, that means no toons get lost on follow etcs and dont lag in populated zones like IF..

Quad core processor, 4gb ram, 8800GT vid card. Maybe a Raid0 setup for the hard drives.

You could get two, although it'd probably be better to get a 512 MB 8800GTS.

Cost for a system like this depends on where you are in the world and where you source the parts from.

2 video cards isn't totally necessary... but is optional. You're going to want Windows Vista, because using more than one monitor you need Vista to render both monitors correctly.

Price? I don't know... you might be able to squeeze it on $1k... but probably looking between $1k-$1.5k

ok ok sorry im not like a comp expert :P but why would a 512mb 800gts be better than 2 graphics??

Also you would need vista to upgrade to 4gigs, Xp only supports up to 3gigs

Actually you need a 64 bit Operating system. Windows XP 64 bit will work.

I assume you mean the 3800 series. It is comparable (although slightly less) to the new 8800gt in both performance and price. (the 3870 specifically - the 3850 is lower price/performance than both)

Just FYI, I pretty much have the setup suggested above (4gig of ram, q6660 quad-core cpu, 8800gt), and it works great. I geto 50+ fps everywhere.

You won't need two GPUs. You won't need Vista as long as you are OK with using horizontal-span for your two monitors. If you want to have it setup has two separate displays, yes, you'll need Vista.

I got my PC for $1000, without monitors.
