Side note, after replying to this topic it went to 73 min :cursing:
Aw.... I'm sorry Jeff!!! :( :( Hopefully it goes faster... We need you to lvl so we can go try out the new instances! Darn you insane queue times!!!! :cursing:
Im so moving off magtheridon...
Ugh, 1200 when I started, down to a measley 970 now... Oh well, maybe I'll get to play tomorrow.
I'd consider a free transfer off Blackhand, actually low population servers would work out better for me, but zomg transferring so many toons....
I was at almost 1900 on Cenarius. That was like 20mins ago. Now I'm at 768 with another 40mins to go :(
If it's a free transfer it wouldn't matter how many toons to transfer. It would still all be free.Quote:

That's insane. I didn't have any wait time, but I am not going to say which server! :^)
Well it's not like it would matter. I can't go play on your server while waiting in que on mine.Quote:

I used to play on frostmane right before the 1.11 patch when frostwolf merged with out server, we had queue times that showed days on occasion. That was fun for about 2 weeks then when you could log on the server was so lagged you would often get booted while in the load screen. At least they learned a little and queue times are a lot lower albeit stil annoying.
Good luck guys
Stormreaver (US) has queues around 1000, 1 hr wait time.
Yup, same with me on Cenarius. Keeps fluctuating between 20 minutes to over 1 hour. Yikes!!!
I was going to post my 5x screenshot but that's on that other computer (you guys are on my laptop, sorry!)
But I started at positions 538-543 and it said 31 minutes. When I got halfway through it, the server locked and booted me from the QQueue
Aaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaa no.
I really really hope that they open free transfers off mag 8(
Yeah we got a queue of about 400 on Nath. And it's not even a popular server.
I am 7 hours through the 8.5 hour queue time waiting at work to go home...so close to playing :P
I finally got in! I should have set a stopwatch.... and called in sick to work this morning....
I finally got in after over 1 hour. Of course, I get some file read error =( Never seen it before and it crashed all my clients.
Something to do with my machine and a reboot fixed it...but talk about salt on a wound! Another 1 hour wait after that. Hope it doesn't happen again.
pff - Draenor EU is where the shit happens - last night at 10ish pm, the queue broke 2100
I gave up
It was like this with BC, as well. More people logging on. People who haven't played in ages are logging back on to check out the expansion pack. Transfer servers open up, their economies suck for ages, and then they balance out as well. Everything boils down to login-as-usual after a few months, IIRC.
This for sure. They did it for TBC. They don't want too many people in one spot. Anyone with WoTLK can hop a boat or blimp and go to NR. If you wait an hour you are less likely to do this on your bank alt or on your level 63. I am sure there are lots of people coming back too. But with all the other issues recently with lag and server propblems. I would rather have a queue and a stable server then have loot lag and crashes.Quote:

I sort of feel better now. Now server, Vek'nilash, I never had a wait time even when BC came out and didn't have one when i fast started playing yesterday at around 4ish. But when i logged out and tried to come back in at 9pm there was a 5 minute wait... yea i know 5 minutes isn't as bad as 1 hour but when you never had to wait before it is a long time... it turned out to be 20 minute wait... that last minute took 10 minutes
I clicked to log in my 5 toons. 2-5 logged in right away, 1 got hit with being in #382 position... so that means 381 people clicked at the same time I did right? :p
I gave up on it after watching the wait time increase while my position decreased for half an hour.
I remember back when I first started playing, it was common for people to log in to the queue and go watch a movie, the waits were so long.
Come everyone, join us on burning legion. I had 0 queue times all night Wednesday and all day thursday, and played a total of 14 hours or so and had 0 lag.
Beware of another new trick blizzard had for wrath release. I got the wonderful one toon not moving on everyone elses screen bug. Logged out only to find that logging back in instantly did not avoid waiting in queue. You used to have a min or two (5-10?) to relog in before being succeptable to queue times again. I then proceded to log my other 4 toons in every way i could thing of (even Alt+F4'd one) and it is not possible to relog in without waiting in that monster queue again!
If you think it was bad yesterday and bad today... tonight and this weekend will be the worse.
Luckily Madoran has never had a que time. Roll here! :_D
usually sunday night is drama, or busiest part of the weekend, hopefully that will stay the same at our server ;(
I'm getting a queue, but I'm sure Blizzard will handle it if it continues. I'm just happy that the server's very stable and lag-free once I'm in. Better to wait an hour for a stable server than have no one playing.
After watching my wait times go UP for half an hour, still showing over an hour to get in, I gave up, and created five new characters on the new server. {Fizz????) I rolled them Horde, as all my other toons are Alliance, just for something different. Having NO gold, and no bags is nasty, but the server was really smooth. Of course, leveling was slow, and there were maybe a hundred other players doing the same thing. Stand in line to wait for a quest mob to spawn type of thing! Still, it beat staring at a motionless countdown/countUP screen :)
The actual "wait time" indicator is just an estimate based off the current rate of how fast people are logging off multiplied by how many are in front of you. This will shift the time estimate dramatically the longer the line is. Technically, your wait could never actually go up, as you're always moving closer to the front of the line.Quote:

The Queue on our server didn't start until peak playing time. It was probably safe to assume that most people wouldn't be logging out any time soon.
:S
after reading these horror stories ... I guess I'll keep quiet.
