So it is. They are consistently out-dpsing pure dps classes by roughly a factor of 2. Their burst damage is still not manageable by far in 5v5.
Well, already lost 150 rating here. I'm quitting arena until level 80. :p
No chance in heck. Really, none. I keep loosing 20-30 rating, won 3 rating twice. 2 wins 8 losses. :/

My gear is coming together quite nicely, yet in Mount Hyjal last night I struggled to stay near the top of the meters. A warrior with slightly better gear than me still stays well ahead of me. I don't "out-dps pure dps classes by roughly a factor of 2", I stay competitive and nothing more. However, I'm expecting I'll not come near the top of the meters for some time after today's patch, while warriors got buffed even more. PVP, I agree, was retarded. I was tired of seeing ret paladins even though I was one. But as seems to be the trend in WoW these days, if your class is good in PVP, expect to be punted from raids in the near future as a result of collateral damage from PVP nerfs.
Ret palies are the flavor of the month for nerfs and qq threads.
I'll admit they were OP just after patch 3.0.2, i basically never went OOM, ever, and could do very serious damage. That was hot-fixed last week with a severe cut in mana regen, and a deep cut in damage from our main spells.
(if i recall correctly, the mana regen went from 33% to 15%, and the dmg from seal/judge of command got -20%. - could be wrong on the numbers)
All in all, there are a couple more changes coming in the patch, but i believe we're ok now.
Any class that does correct dps in the game will be broke so long as they can go invulnerable to all attacks for 10 sec. Until they take away their ability to wtf pwn people while invuln to everyone around them, they will either be broke, or will do laughable damage. Just the way it is. BTW post nerf just got out of an eye with 7 ret palls on the other team, they won by a landslide( my winrate is nearly 90% in eots ) while doing more dmg than everyone in the bg 1-7 all ret pals. Just think about how little dps you have to do in order to not nearly kill somone in 10 sec if they cant fight back, thats why ret pals have never been good because they have to be tuned that way or their out of line.
Why is everyone complaining about ret pallies etc. Everything right now is broken they are preparing for WOTLK same thing happened before BC
Give them back their burst, remove the bubble. Or instead of 100% swing reduction speed, make it 50% dmg reduction. The swing speed penalty used to be a good balnce for the invulnerability, but now they have so many instant cast dmg attacks it doesn't slow them down at all.
Because we are still paying for the game, and we still want to enjoy it. I don't want to pay for a beta game that is having major balancing issues, not to mention lag, downtime, random disconnections.Quote:
