I know clearing a few (every) heroic isn't the most impressive thing, and someone will probably chime in about how they soloed every heroic at level 60 with full grays, but I'm posting anyway.
My group is a protection paladin and 4 elemental shaman, ~3 days 5 hours played at 70

I run a pally and 4 shaman also. I've been running prot pally, resto shaman, 3 x elemental shaman. Do you find it easier with with 4 elemental shaman versus 3 elemental and 1 resto?
Was the Outland Dungeon Hero achievement all-multibox? Either way, congrats! Hopefully, I will be able to do the same, but I doubt I will even reach 70 before the xpac.
I tried 3x elemental 1 restoration, didn't care for it. 4x elemental gives more damage, and one max rank healing wave from each shaman at the same time is enough to fully heal my paladin and isn't a huge drain on their mana.Quote:

pretty sweet for such new toons. Makes me want to get my pally and do some heroics. I am about 8 badges from the 100 badge tanking chest armor.
Got to say I'm pretty impressed. I run the same setup but one resto shaman and though I'm short one dps, my guys out dps yours by over 100 and I would say across the board I have slightly better gear but I don't think I could do this. I may have to look in to the 4 elemental route.
Are you just running a /stopcasting /cast healing wave macro for the heals? I find on some fights I'm spamming heals non stop with my healer so I don't know how you get any damage spells cast.

With devotion aura, stoneskin totem and strength of earth my paladin has around 18400 armor and 30%dodge/16parry/11% to be missed. I can kill a lot of trash pulls and some bosses without needing to be healed until the fight is over, unless they have heavy magic damage.

Nice man very nice. I agree on Shade being a PITA. When I did all 5 we stopped after 3rd attempt on Shade, I was just frazzled. Illhoof was a JOKE with 5 (I was 4 of them + my priest) Fire Elementals and CL's out the wazzoo. I 3 boxed Netherspite in a different run and that was pretty stressful.
edit: holdup, looking at your pics more closely I don't see anyone else in there. Did you do this with only your 5 and nothing else??

Shade can be pulled outside his room which makes the fight much easier but unfortunately much longer.
I've seen it done twice, once pulled by a holy/disc priest in the group and the other time pulled by my pally. You send the one toon in doing the pulling while everyone else waits outside the door. If the door shuts with that toon inside I'm not sure what happens so try to pull when he is closer to do the door so you can just run back out. The door will close and he will come through it.
Unfortunately, he will return to the center over and over and over so that you can only dps him when he decides to come outside the door. The flame wreath will still apply to your group but the blizzard will stay inside. On my first time doing this the elementals stayed inside but on my second try they came out and I'm not sure what causes the differance. Also when he pulls everyone to the middle, it just pulls you to the door so you don't have to worry about it. As for his polymorph/explosion, hope he does it on the inside of the door where it doesn't affect you. If he does it outside the door, you are probably done.
And last but not least, don't go to far from the door as I hear that will cause him to reset.
I'm going to assume you were boxing it so how did you handle the followers? With /follow as usual (some say this doesn't work) or key bindings, i.e., all move forward?Quote:

As for the sheep phase, this only occurs when he runs out of mana the first time which in a quick fight won't be an issue.
did Netherspite few days ago, took me few tries to get it right but finally did. Have to say that it was the most fun and at the same time most frustrating fight in kara. I dont think I could had managed it if my shaman wasnt all geared up in sunwell, Ive placed in first blue beam, while other shamies had macros set up to just spam heal her, when she was getting low, almost 10k dps just from that one shaman, Netherspite was dead before end of first portal transition.
edit..just did Hmgt, first time since 3.0....they nerfed that place so much, did kael without even seeing p2.

Normals, Heroics, Kara? or some other path?
Did you do battlegrounds? With three days played there doesnt seem to be time to farm for gear.

I gained ~2 days between when I created this thread and the picture where I killed shade, but my path went something like
turn 70, do normal instances that have quests which lead to better gear (tanking helm from beating steamvaults, breaking into the arcatraz for tanking/caster dps belt ,etc)
The only normal instance I did more than once was steamvaults(tanking cloak and necklace)
and then battlegrounds for the merciless gladiator's shield (paladin) and the gavel (shamans). The shamans were using a talkbuk sticker until then..
and then do easier heroics(mechanar, slavepens, steamvaults, botanica, bloodfurnace(medium)) for badges and random drop upgrades
after some upgrades I moved onto the best time per badge heroics (shattered halls(the best), shadow labyrinth(really), magister's terrace), but I can do all of them in <30 minutes each so it hardly matters now.
Karazhan I randomly decided to do because I heard it was nerfed so hard in the last patch, and it was.
I'm an efficiency freak, so if I'm not battleground'ing or doing whatever heroic then I logoff. I'm also that tank you yell at because I pulled two bosses when you only have enough mana to heal once.
Thanks for the reply. I will have to look at the gear versus event and map out a path.
I have been doing the normals for dungeon tactics experience, its been a learning experience. I was that tank in EQ as well, "pull big or go home".

we killed netherspite too (and every other boss that I already posted about soloing) but they did most of the work, and the screenshot is much less impressive
