feels like WotLK right now on Lothar. Cant seem to keep the server up very much lately
We always end up with a queue when big patches hit. It's the drawback of being one of the highest population servers in NA ;-/
And since we're one of the original servers... we get tons of returnees *_*
185? people on my server where reporting 1100 in a queue :S took me about 50 mins to get in the server :(
I think I actually caught the very tail of the queue times since it was pretty darn late...
/wave raz .. saw your mage team when I was doing cruel's intentions today :) seems like I'm running in to more and more boxers now!
We're over 300 tonight, and the instance servers keep crashing /sigh ...
I think we win...Frostmourne got deleted!
Seriously. I recall often times in the past 1500 player queues on my PvP server Tichondrius. Currently I'm playing on a lower population RP server - fewer players and certainly less Barrens Chat. No doubt about it, Wotlk is going to a freakshow! They really needed to open free character moves on all busy servers a few weeks ago to give people a chance to even the server populations out.
Rumors say that they have lowered the cap of players allowed in certain servers due to crashes... I havent seen a blue post but 1400 in queue seems weird when it usualy reached 600 on sunday at 19:00.. Even with a patch im realy in doubt!
Hey Phara! nice to see another boxer on WW. I'm thinking I may try to level a horde team since I have another month before RaF Runs out, but I'm not sure. There was a queue of 460 tonight at ~6 PST. It's going to be crazy once wrath hits.
Same for Feathermoon.. I've already seen 280ish... eh... :cursing:
queues most of the weekend - around 100ish
at 180ish, there were about 10 minutes wait estimated
Furthermore, all rep grinds and achievement grinds are being pursued like there is no tomorrow. Took me 35 minutes to kill 10 furbolgs in Winterspring for Wintersaber Trainers. In the end, the most effective method was splitting the team into 2 groups, at 2 spawnpoints and tabtarget/moonfirespam to get the mob tagged first.
Considering going to bed early, and get up @ 4 am and do a couple hours farming/grinding in the morning instead - would probably be much better time spent, than fighting with 90.000 returnees :)
Yah I think I'm going back to playing WoW first thing in the morning, LOL...
At least I won't have to worry about LFG this time around :D
I haven't seen any numbers for a queue on Ysera..but I think they just ran out of numbers becaues it takes forever to log in. :P
This is my guess as well. I know for a positive 100% sure fact they have in the past. I also know that before TBC they did all the hardware upgrades then slowly raised the population limits.Quote:

So, because of the software instability issues, they have lowered the population cap, hopefully temporarily, until they can fix everything.
I know this sucks now. But, I would rather go through all this now as opposed to after we get the expansion. TBC was crowded, but fairly smooth. If they fix everything, I have faith they will, WotLK will be smooth as well.
Looks like it might be a ploy to get people to server transfer to even realm populations out a bit.
Lots of free server transfers coming up.
I've hardly been able to play for the past 4 weeks. Illidan's lag spikes up to 2k-15k right around 6pm to at least midnight every day. They've done numerous maintenance downtimes on it and tried a bunch of stuff but it continues. I work until 5pm so that gives me just a half hour or so to play every night and the weekends.
I got to play for a few hours uninterrupted last saturday and it was nice to finally be able to see what the 3.02 patch was like. So, overall about 15 hours of gameplay for my team in the last month :(. I now have roughly 3 weeks to get them 10 levels before wotlk comes out. Of course, that's if they're able to even fix the problems with my server soon.
I'd kill to have queues-- at least i'd be able to have a semi-playable experience online instead of paying for 5 accounts for nothing :(
