Sam DeathWalker going to 36 Box WoW (from current 26), and 24 Box EQ!

As you all know I currently 24 BoX EQ:

As you also know I 26 BoX WoW and Mr. Prepared is well ... slaughtering me badly to be honest.

Although I have 50 total MMO accounts to his 36.

So time to move up to 36 BoX to at least equal him in WoW accounts!

Reducing my Screen Resolutions now to 1024 X 786 on all but the main computer (1600 X 1200 so thats its also 4:3), and upgrading all secondary computers to AMD X2 5600's, Asus 8300 based AM2 motherboards, 3 gig ram on each (won't see any extra with 4G anyways), still will stay with Win2K, Hopefully I can run 7 accounts on 5 computers and 1 on the main for 36 total. Right now 4 of them are amd 3700 in a 939 soc MB.

Not sure how I will handle the RAF but probably be serial (a invite b invite c etc) again. Also I am working on moving to a quest based game as all here have suggested.

its not a competition on who can run the most accounts at once, you would be better off learning the game with a smaller number of characters. but hey its your money and who am i to tell you how to spend it.

True, but one would assume that with more accounts one would be able to kill stronger mobs.

Well considering all the "worthwile" PvE stuff is in 10 and 25 mans why bother going beyond 25 ?
As for PvP it looks like all the "worthwile" rewards are moving to 5 man arenas in WotLK so again why more ?

The only tough mobs outside an instance (which has limited spots) can be easily 10 manned (atm its kazzak, doomwalker)

Le sigh.... It would be so beneficial to level up and achieve something as a boxer in WoW. More Chars != Greater Achievement. But I know from a roommate that knows you from EQ that you aren't open to reason :P

I hope when it's all said and done you get some enjoyment out of this setup. Warcraft isn't all about no rules world pvp like EQ is.

fark man, you may as well buy another computer or 2 and upgrade to 40 accounts seeing as 40 is the max number of people allowed in a raid. Then you will dominate the server and everyone will be in awe of your mad boxing skills and the stranglehold you will have over the opposing faction!

I absolutly agree that more characters by themselves doesn't mean much. As I have stated anyone who can kill a mob higher then level 25 (my best so far) is better in WoW then I am.

Well I not planning to take a back seat to anyone so we will see how it goes. Of course looking at results so far its not going to well for me ......

So how does WinterGrasp look in Beta as far as world pvp goes?

From what I have heard, it's lame and still needs tweaking. I'm looking forward to that zone too so lets hope they make it better...

It's still in beta and needs some work. By the time you level it will have be a low level zone nobody visits anymore.

That's what single boxers say about quin boxers, and we laugh non-stop about their ignorance/jealousy because they can't do it themselves and because they think it's stupid to "waste" money on a game, even though we enjoy it...do you see where I am going with this?

I think he meant its silly in relation to the fact that its more like a competition than anything else. Or I could be totally wrong I'm not too sure.

Well it is competition, surely if Prepared did not exist I would stop at 26 ...

haha, someone said something liek that to me the other day in eots, it was more like "no wonder you multibox, you are shit so when you singlebox you must get wtfpwned." This coming from the guy who was last for ally in all cats. whereas I was actually trying to help win the game.

Not much to learn about this game anyway...you get gear upgrades, you do some dmg, you do some heals, you run out of the fire...done.

My point was that he is miserably failing at 26x boxing and so instead of increasing the number of players he should first learn the game - I already told him numerous times he should level a raf duo or maximum a x5 team to 60 before trying to tackle 26x at a time. but hey... if you want to think I'm envious... think what you want and encourage him to flush more down the toilet... why not 100x boxing ?

Well technically you could say I am "failing" if you figure I should be way ahead of where I am now. At one time Furor was way ahead of me in EQ, where is he now? Im setting up a strong foundation on which to build. Im spending 2X times the time setting up UI and computers and stuffs then actually playing, and when I play a good portion of my time is trade skilling (I have all professions cept fishing and first aid).

Today I spend over 6 hours resetting all my UI (to the 4:3 resolutions on all computers), moving bars around, rewriting keyclone.ini and cloning the WTF folder 4 or 5 times X 26 lol ... Normally I would just copy the Macro files over but I did a full redo today and thats a real mess. Clicking the sound off 25 times.. Loading Pitbull and Dominos and the combat report thing profiles 25 times ... Using a new bag add on which looks nice.

Just look at my EQ guys and imagine how long it took to get to their level AND their AA, and how many mobs I'v killed to do it. WoW won't take me 1/10th the time. Man if I had full auto follow in EQ like I have here ... and a class that can heal and do dps and rez .... lol.

And in AOK I killed the equivilent of 100,000 French Horse Knights (we figured it out once)... I'm not called DeathWalker fur nothing!

Well back to Tranquillity in Ghostlands to do the level 12 quests in the guide. Oh and I just got concecration (level 20) on my Pal ... woot thats gonna cut down on some deaths.

I play on the same server as Sam, and it's kinda cool to seem him play. It may not be the fastest, it may not be the best. But if I had the money and time, I can't say I wouldn't try it. True he's new to the game and there is a learning curve, he's got to get over that on his own. We don't need to put him down, there are plenty of single boxers that bash us all day long without us doing it to each other.

That being said, Sam, you need to learn to take a little advice. I've leveled 5 druids to 35 then a single druid 60 to 70, and 5 warlocks to 35+ since you've started (questing.) I want to see you succeed, We all do, because if you make a bad name for yourself, you give us all a bad name. Like it or not you've become a spokesman for multiboxers. If you cause problems for blizzard we're all likely to see some Eula changes. I must thank you personally though, you've taken a lot of attention off my teams, as I just tell them to /who samdeathwk and they run off to see you, and leave me alone. :D

I was reading one of your posts and you were RAFing in a chain 1-->2-->3-->4..ect right? Have you thought about using the granted levels to your advantage? Like if you leveled all your accounts to 10 and stopped. Then took the last account in the chain and leveled it to 20, you could grant 10 levels to the next account, making it level 20. Then take that account and give 10 levels to the 3rd account, making it level 20. And so on... 20 is just an example. I know you need to learn the game and all, but in my opinion there are few differences between classes until you have a handful of talent points and spells to play with. Maybe just give yourself a bit of a bump to 20 or 30, or whenever you get stuck on a leveling hump. There is plenty of grinding/leveling to come to learn the game. And pvp will teach more than any amount of mobs will. Anyway, hit me up in game if you need any help, or more dynamite ;) on my druid Lunartricks.

No, actually, I didn't know I was in a competition. I've been busy leveling my alts lately. My shaman have stopped at level 61 for the moment so I could get 16 of my alts to level 61 which they've done. Now I've been working on 32 warlocks that I'm planning to take to level 17, then 16 of those will make level 32 to be up with the level 32 mages and priests. I have 16 level 32 mages and priests that are on the recruited accounts.

It's interesting that Sam seems to always post what he's going to do before he does it. I usually don't do that because it doesn't make sense to post something in my opinion for something that hasn't happened yet. Having said that, I've been thinking about more accounts anyway because of my initiative to take out the other faction on my realm. I will post the number of accounts once I've got them all set up. :) I will say as a hint, it is possible to go to 60 accounts with my financial stability right now. I've been thinking about how it would be done. Am I in a competition? Not to me, because I was planning to do these things long ago even before I asked how many the most boxxed characters was. I was actually quite surprised to find out that when I was thinking about doing 15 that was the top at the time. Back then, I was thinking about how to do 60 accounts and still believe it's possible especially with recruit-a-friend now. The only major issue is that it just takes a long time to get them all to maximum level and I don't like being behind on a PvP realm as most of you know that play on one...

One thing I have observed however is that Sam levels very slowly. I'm on my 3rd set of characters that I'm leveling up and I'm almost up to Sams level and he's only working on 25 characters at the moment where I'm working on 32. 4 of my level 70's that are on separate accounts, I don't work on. And the other 5 level 70's that I have on the same shaman accounts, I use them for daily quests to get money for the mounts, etc. If I were to guess, I would say Sam is playing a lot more on Everquest than he is on WoW. Mainly because Everquest has a new expansion out that increases the level cap and will leave Sam behind in that game which he has played a lot.

By the way, my 32 Everquest accounts are still active right now. About to expire, but I never counted the Guild Wars accounts that I have that all have level 20 max characters on them. Don't know if that matters since it's not a paid mmorpg, but I have 11 separate accounts that I have played over the years. Not much lately, but occassionally start it up and have a battle here or there.

The game that I'm really looking forward to is Guild Wars 2. It's supposed to be a full MMORPG geared to PvP battles and not have a subscription fee. The game and expansions are how they make their money. They don't really have a GM population, but they do ban accounts that are breaking their rules. And yes, Octopus works with Guild Wars except for the mouse which isn't really necessary anyway. Hoping that it will work with Guild Wars 2 also. But no, I'm not giving up WoW even when Guild Wars 2 is released because I'm fairly confident that it won't be as boxxing friendly as WoW.

So there you have it, 60 WoW accounts incoming! :)
With 36 right now, I only need another 24 accounts. :rolleyes:
I am planning to go with them once Blizzard releases a combined all-inclusive expansion game pack.

By the way, thanks Xzin for sending your private message about all those links about me on the Internet. I didn't know about any of that. When they see my 3 high x 5 wide widescreen monitors all running 4 copies, they'll really wonder what the heck I'm doing... :D
