To be honest I'd report you too. There are few things more annoying than someone deliberately positioning a mount over something you are trying to interact with.
Hit Ctrl-V, or whatever you have bound to "Show All Name Plates" and then right click on the NPCs name plate.
Problem solved.
The problem has been solved when the person deliberately trying to obscure access to an object has been removed. There is no acceptable reason for someone deliberately positioning five characters over a NPC. This is one of my pet peeves!
...
I agree but it's Blizzard's fault for not making NPCs unblockable.Quote:

I was just trying to point out a method to access even a blocked NPC as not many people seem to know about it :)
You're disrupting other people's game play. Quite frankly, I'm shocked that you didn't get a three-hour ban or some such thing. And by the way, anti-multiboxers read this forum all the time. Posting threads like this makes us all look bad. Don't do it again.Quote:

It is indeed.Quote:

However, while it may be a flaw of design it's certainly a flaw of character to abuse a known issue that prevents other players from easy access. And I do know about the CTRL+V trick, but it's easy enough to make that difficult when the person walks around in a highly crowded area, bouncing the nameplates everywhere.
I find there nothing to be gloating about in this thread. In fact, it's quite distasteful (not to mention -- as you've found -- against the rules) if you made it a point to AFK there on purpose. I'm fairly certain if you make it a habit, the GM won't be so lenient the next time.
You are lucky you were only told to move.
It is Blizzard's fault for assuming people won't be complete asshats given the slighest opportunity. I hope they take a hint from Warhammer and make it so you can queue from anywhere and don't have to go speak to a NPC. This is also one of my pet hates. A good example why we need the ability to punch someone in the face across the internet.Quote:

I wish you would have been banned. I really hate people like you. There is no reason in the world to block off NPCs other than to be an ass. Blizzard may or may not have designed the game the way they did, but that's no excuse to grief other players. Screw you, and the horse you rode in on.
Imagine how annoying it will be though if you get blocked by NPCs in cities and have to walk around...more things for your slaves to get stuck on.
Blizzard shouldn't have to design around people being asshats, that's whatcommon curtesy and bans are for.
great idea man, dunno why no one had it before
Shift+V was one of the only ays to talk to the new badge reward vendor on IQD when it first opened lol, everyone was stacked on top of it. The only other way was to /target "badge vendors name", zoom camera all the way in and look for the green circle on the ground and right click from there.
That was the best day ever in the history of wow ever for aoe classes.Quote:

Also ever.
yea, I had my lock up on the top of the building chain casting SoC, so many targets that each explosion was only doing 300 dmg lol. But was so funny when people started dying and it looked a bit cleaner down there. Also, as a lock I could enslave those demons with the dmging aura and it didn't aggro the guards, same with it's warstomp. And to cap everything off, the south part of the Orgrilla dailes has demons with a very nasty fire breath, enslaved one of those and went to town on that pack, decimated people lol.
Oh the memories...and in all honesty, something very similar will probably happen again, and this time I will be ready :)
Yeah my guild organised a group attack, mostly aoe classes.

Was totally awesome :D
Yea, then the guards took action :( Imo, Blizzard should have turned off the guards attacking people for like 15 mins or so, so that people could gank there for a little bit so a lot of people would leave and come back later.
That would have been an interesting time
Oh, and by guild you mean you?
Prime time after new arena season gear is available in the little room in Netherstorm... An AoE raid... Oh how sweet that would be. Or can you buy the current season arena gear somewhere else these days?Quote:

You are fairly lucky, I know of an old guildie who got a 7-day ban for that. Illidan GM's aren't nice to those who harass a busy server.
I lold because he posted this expecting many lols and QQ mores and lame GMs but got flamed instead...reminds me of trolls on the wow forums.
I'm in total agreement on this. I have no clue how people are either oblivous to the fact they are blocking others when doing something as simple as picking up a quest or think its funny to be a total ass. With my crew of 5, if I'm talking to an NPC, I'm off to one side and usually unmounted so as to lessen the risk I am blocking anything.Quote:

I just think that the guys that reported or everyone that thinks what he did is wrong should re-think their positions of WoW Players, lol.
Showing Name Plates is a very basic interface function, which would solve the problem in this case, and the bear could be there forever with everybody playing normally. :!:
Wearing body armour is a reasonable way to avoid deaths from body gunshots and stabs...does it mean shooting people in the chest should be legal because they could/should be wearing body armour? No, although we could wear armour to protect us/make our life easier, it is beside the point that what the other people are doing is not allowed.
People's rights is a very basic base for law. You generally have the right to do what you want as long as it doesn't affect the rights of other people. I do not want to have to walk around with name plates on because it makes my screen very cluttered and I find them annoying.
Deliberate blocking of NPCs, mailbox or similiar is a definite no no in my book.
However, I have noticed that when an AV ends when you are just making your way mounted to somewhere in the BG, you are showing up mounted and quite close to the battlemaster. If you are then sitting on a big ass mount, like an Elekk or a Bear, you are most likely blocking the NPC.
Considering that after a BG quite some people may go AFK, this is bad. Blizzard should move the location for the exit BG port 10 yards or so away from the battlemasters and dismount you.
Even better, make the location random to mess up various BG bots. :D
I bet you regret making this post more than you regret blocking people. TBH i hate it when people stand over NPC's it does my head in. I would have reported you too. What was the point in it? you must enjoy pissing people off
althgouth blocking npc's is kinda mean and bad, i did it once for a few min in isle of sun well (forgot its name) was fun watching allies clickin me and dies :D

I think this would be considered griefing which is a big no no.
Showing consideration is a very basic human trait. If you're saying we need to rethink our position of WoW players in the sense that most of them lack basic human traits, I might have to agree with you there.Quote:

It's plan as the nose on your face..Douche bags stand on quest givers
So in short thx Douche bag! We're all glad you chose to multibox.
well, some of us, not so much.
Holy thread backfire!
I always hate the guys that stand on the NPC but I hate the guys on their netherdrakes that do it even more.
There is a horde night elf on Hyjal that that stands on top of the NPC for dailies.
He lookst identical to the NPC and stands exactly in the same spot.
alliance characters run in to turn in the quest click on him and all of the NCP kill the alliance character.
I was hoping they would ban this guy for life myself.
I think you mean blood elf... :PQuote:
