The topic starter was a Blood Elf Hunter with 8/8 T6
armorying him did show 8/8 T6 gear
he said he just migrated and was looking for a guild to do endgame raiding with
first 10 posts contained people criticising his gear, gemming, hitrating, etc etc etc
basicly telling him he may have 8/8 T6 but he was a bad bad geared raider
post 12 contained a person showing a link to craigslist which contained an add, describing EXACTLY the char + gear the topic starter wore
basicly the add was a account selling for 500 dollar for a 8/8 T6 hunter + a blue geared paladin.
the next 16 pages contained people from various servers laughing at him, mocking him, and hoping the GM's would ban his ass for account buying
way to pay 500 dollar for a ban ;)
He has been banned and the thread removed. It was a good read though. Looked like people from every server checked in just to laugh at the guy ;)Quote:

Oooh I recently (read: month or two ago) bound my Trinket/Power Infusion/Pain Suppression macro to the same key as my mages Trinket/AP/Pom/Pyro key. My mages pom/pyro/ice block in the air a lot...
So what was the result?

I never really understood the buying of accounts. It seems this guy was a on PVE server. That said after you complete all those tasks what is their left to do? If you skip the entire game and everything is done, what's left for you to do? I never really understood that or at least see how that could be fulfilling for long.
My biggest oops was mapping a macro to F4, then trying to use the mod:alt function :)

Really? To be honest, I find it distasteful of people to go at this like a rabid mob looking for others to make fun of. Anyone else get asked a lot in AV and other places if you want to sell/trade one of your accounts/chars? I get asked at least once per game then asked "why?" when I say no...have a fucking guess, I roled these guys to play, not to sell!
It's idiots thinking you are an account seller and your greed will make you admit to it to make a sale. People don't understand there is no money in this activity and that we are having fun with our hobby. My answer is "Why would you want one of my crappy characters? enjoying the fun I had leveling(singleboxing) isn't really there anymore.
But it's Blizzard rules, and that's not a fanboy comment,
it's the same response you'll get when talking about banned for accounts sharing, banned for spam in /2, banned for botting and whatever things which cross the ToS.

American gaming culture dictates that when in a game, everyone is on equal footing, and outside (real life) factors should not influence the game. Funny enough, this is not actually true in all societies from what I am told, as I have heard that in Asian cultures the opposite is expected -- that you should be able to purchase in-game status/items/etc for money.
Dunno, kinda a long and intellecualized explanation, but that is my understanding of such issues.
