going to make a simple suggestion for you. Skip every other arena run and you will be undefeated :pinch:
i've found a solution
follow macros plus:
/cast water shield
/train
provides amusement enough to see the bad times through :d
yey, broke 1650 tonight and got me a new ring, small achievement compared to some of you guys but im a happy chappy this week :D
It only gets more frustrating as you climb the ladders :) which forces you to play in your bg's primetime to anticipate games that are hopefully even rated if enough teams are playing at the time.
Pffff at least you win some!
I have 28 losses, 1 win. I'm *always* facing a full epic team that has a considerably higher rating than I have.
(I only wear about 3 items + shield + trinket and the rest is all blues and 2 greens)
Sitting on 982 spell dam im pretty well geared, i played 5 games early in the week and people just dropped like flies, it felt amazing, but the next lot of games were frustrating :D
i've achieved what i wanted to do before wrath now, i doubt i can / will push it higher, taking my time in game to get my 5th shaman to 70 and enchanting maxed on all toons.
looking forward to wrath there the game "resets" so i can have the boxing experience from the start, so to speak.
Yey, GZ to us (finally)
What a journey...down to 1300 rating boo! up to 1647 yey! down to 1520 boo! up to 1645 yey! down to 1600 boo!
1655 woot!
Don't listen to Tilce though, we're pushing for 1700 at least before the expansion ;)
Quick question though for all you guys that have been there and got yourself decent ratings:
We used to come up against a lot of teams who would totally own us (while my shaman was healing) now i've switched to pally and geared it up we seem to almost beat every team...... even when we lose :/ (which is more frustrating tbh)
Did you guys have this while you were perfecting your skills? and if so, is there a bracket where it actually becomes easier for a bit? I mean did you get to 1700 and then sail through to 1800 or anything like that? Just to give us an idea of what we should be aiming for/expecting?
Or is it just a yoyo rating grind all the way to the top?
It's quite a yo-yo experience until you:
1. Learn how to counter some of the setups that have an edge against you.
2. Start queue dodging teams that your experience and knowledge tells you that you will not win against (for example, caster heavy 4dps teams with skills).
There are some odd set ups that can be really annoying for quad boxing shaman around 1400-1600ish rating.
Like this one I faced:
Fire mage, destro lock, MM hunter/Boomkin, elemental shaman, holy paladin
They were lossing perfectly, waiting for me to refresh groundings then quickly they run in, blow my groundings, run out, heal up, then rush in without my groundings up, one of my chars gets earth shocked, one gets counterspelled, one gets felpuppy and one gets sleeped/cycloned, then they focus nuke one by one. By the time I have grounding totem up again, one of my chars is dead and I didn't get the chance to nuke anyone down.
Quite frankly, it's an unbeatable set up for a quad boxing shaman (unless the other team sucks), but they'll lose against many other set ups so generally don't climb very high. I think the only way to beat a set up like that is to rush so they can't set up their focuses. But heh, I dunno. Rushing isn't a multiboxers strong point. :p
You'll meet less of those highly annoying set ups at higher ratings, that's true, but you will also notice people on high rating don't ever 'offer' themselves to you. They'll los good, and minimize the chance for you to nuke one before they can do anything. You'll have to keep your fingers at the ready and wait for the oppertune moment. But it's usually only a 3 second window in which you have to do your thing. Slack one bit and you'd lose.
Personally tho, I find 2 healer teams by far the easiest to beat. And there are plenty of those at high ratings. :P They generally don't have the healing power to outnuke your dps, they are easy to tunnelview because of that so lack in cc.
I'm currently on a new BG, Reckoning in EU, just started last week. the losses i had so far were against pretty good teams or annoying set ups. Fair game I suppose. Can't win them all and I am still slightly behind in gear anyways. But you'd be surprised to know I have it easier at 1700 rating then I had at 1500 rating. I started with 5 wins 5 losses, and ended with 23 wins and 11 losses (3 losses was because I messed up in one way or another but could've been easily prevented. :P ). So my winrating improves the higher I get. Until I'm in the 1700's where I usually lose a few because of pretty decent teams and slightly lacking the gear. But I've beaten 1900/2000 rated teams so, if I play enough games, I think i should be able to reach high ratings. That's my aim to do before wotlk. That and to get as much experience as possible so I make the start in wotlk the best possible way. ^^
Reckoning bah!
Should have come over to Rampage with us, 3 very active quad boxers (all with 5 toons) , a 4th person would have been ace for BGs / Expansion :D We having some crazy fun together :D
AV has changed for us, with two of us we now kill Balinda then take SH GY and sit at the IW bottleneck and utterly rape alliance for the rest of the game :D They just come along 1 / 2 at a time :D
Highly recommend this tactic to anyone who boxes with someone else! :D Much more fun to get 200+ HKs than killing vandaar, especially as we are grinding hard for the 100k HK war bear mounts now :D
Sounds like great fun! :thumbsup:Quote:

How about you people come to al'akir? :P
Unfortunately i have a raiding guild to look after, been going 3 years, quite casual but built to last. Oh and we just added another shaman 5 boxer to the guild so thats 20 shaman for 4 people :p
The origional 3 of us have known eachother a long time now, from FPS days, if our server sucks in wrath we might consider a move but for now we happily owning the BGs nearly every night.
14 shaman and a pally Eots last night. Raped them 3 times, rather hard, but had a close 4th game. Lots of fun :)
I'll do a screenie one night, its quite insane and we just cant wait for wrath now :D
I thought this thread was going to be about murlocs.
