I usually don't bother until 62. I did ramparts at 61 but it was much more tedious and time-consuming than it needs to be. With bosses being level 62/63, they'll crush you at 61 and under more often than you'd think. I tend to finish most of the hellfire quests before doing ramparts/blood furnace last.
Search for stealthy's guide to outland gear do all those quests and you should have a good shot at finishing ramparts at your level. What I suggest you trying is to clear up the first boss in blood furnance over and over until you get 5 of his maces/belts. Pretty sure I did all this farming around level 62. I had alot of trouble with the first boss in Ramparts. I tried healing his target, or killing his adds. I think the first time I took him down I positioned my toons against a wall and just nuked him down first then dealt with the healers. The maker in blood furnace was a cake walk compared to this guy. Good luck
I did ramparts boss 1 and 2 easily at 61, the BIGGEST thing is (on a group of 5 shamans anyway) to do the mag'har outpost quests to get the 1H spell damage mace and one of the first few thrallmar quests to get the spell damage shield - having an extra 2600 armor on each of your shamans makes the first boss MUCH easier. Also do arazzius and get the spell dmg trinket, use that + elemental mastery when starting the fight with the first boss and you can take his healers out before he even takes his first swing at you. (LB+CL kills first one and then a second LB on the 2nd one drops him).
I am going to attempt the third boss tonight, level 62.8 now, and also will start farming BF first boss for the items+xp as I finished zangar and i'd like to be most of the way through 63 before heading to terrokar.
Hachoo - Let me know if you want FR pots for your run man... Aenvit is 300 in Alchy now.
Ooo nice, Not sure if I'll need them or not after studying up the first boss, but I think it might be a good idea to take 1 per char for my first attempt until I see how much damage (if any) I take when the dragon lands - I'll drop a fire resist totem also. I'll catch you in game tonight.
You won't down the dragon unless you have a tank, because he owns shaman souls and he eats them for breakfast.
Wrong, i did him at 62 with 5 shamans pretty easy actually and hes far from as hard as the 2nd boss in BF to me. The trash was the hardest part in ramparts for me and farming the firstboss in BF is certainly nice xp and the items are awsome. I also managed to get 2 blue spelldamage daggers who drops from trash wich is just as good as the mace and boe.Quote:

you should be able to down first 2 bosses at 61. :)
I got the pvp dagger on my shamms and it seem totally sweet. Maybe the instance stuff is good too but for a weapon that nice it didn't take me very long in bg's to get it. I used several turn in marks for honor things and it was pretty fast for a real nice weapon.
Probably because dragon doesn't like the taste of lies and deceit.Quote:

Here's a link to my guide - Stealthy's Guide to Elemental Shaman Outlands Gear - 2.0
I was able to clear ramps at 61, after doing all the gear quests. The first boss is a pain, mainly due to his charge/knockback ability - I just DPS his healers down first (open with an trinketed EM CL) & make sure I have the right totems down - 5 x healing stream, 5 x searing, stoneskin, 5 x grounding (for the healer's SW: P). Heal any sham that gets to 50% health as Gargolmar hits hard & fast - having a target=focustargettarget heal macro helps a lot here.
2nd boss is cake with grounding totems. Don't forget to spread your guys out so the boss debuff doesn't kill you.
3rd boss can be tricky. For phase one (dragon still in the air), make sure you have grounding totems down - they will abosrb the fireball, but not the pool of fire. Bind keys that strafe your whole party left or right so you can quickly get out of the fire. Sub one healing stream totem for a fire resist totem. For phose two - when I dropped Vazruden, I sent a single shammy to pick up Nazan - the main reason is that i dont want everyone caught in his cone of fire spell. Let the solo sham get off one frost shock and one LB to get a head start on agro, then unload with all guys (tinketed EM CL) - barring any unclucky crit sequences, you should be able to hold argo long enough on your single sham to drop him.
Cheers,
S.
Depends on the group, my locks I waited a few levels after 60. the shams I did it at 59 no problem. The last boss you can forget until like 65. You can't kill the dragon first anyomore. Its funny I can down bosses in Mana tombs, and other instances that are harder just fine, pre Rock elemental tanks to help out is a reaaaaalllllllllllllllll bitch even with a tank on that dragon.
To be honest the lower zones unless you need the rep to honored is a bit pointless just keep grinding with the 1 acception of blood furnace 1st boss for Diamond core sledgemace http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24384Quote:

i am 64 now and farming the 1st boss till i get this mace for my x5 shaman team. Then off to underbog to rep up the last 2k to honored.
Well if you stepped in it you should go wipe it off your feet :P
Ok I guess I am really really missing something here. I am 64 x5 shamans wtih 5k health 6k mana now. I STILL can NOT kill this boss. What i have tried is to pull the 2 low lev elites up teh ramp to not agro the rider. Run back in and drop gorudning totems for the dragon. As i get close to him he keeps running away to the point where if i do get closer the rider will agro.??? I cant seem to get close to dps the dragon down to 30% w/o agroing the rider.Quote:

Umm...why not just drop the rider first?Quote:

I do it that way too, just keep your distance from the rider, he wont aggro you if you stay back.
The dragon seemed to fly in and out of range from my group, so when he's in range, DPS him, when he's out of range, just hold your ground and keep those Grounding Totems up, if you have those down, you take 0 damage until he lands.
At around 35-40%, he lands, but he wont aggro the rider (at least, he never did with me, you sure you're not hitting him with chain lightning?). Then just hit Elemental Mastery/Trinket and kill him as quickly as possible, if you can, try to have whichever shaman he has targetted run forwards and to the side a bit, that way you can save the rest of your group from eating a fire breath attack.
Or, just buy some Greater or Major Fire Protection Potions, that's what I did at 61 to down him.
The second boss of Blood Furnace however, I can't do, will have to try again at 63.
Erm.. i fail to see my QQ when your the one comming along claiming it is impossible when you have played 5 shamans yourself and calling me a liar. Its nice to see you use the standar "QQ more noob" that realy hurts, and maybe you should insult my rating aswell? havent hit 70 yet but i guess i will have 1400 after 10 matches. You can copy paste some of the comments of the wow PVP forums so it wont be that much work.Quote:

I just successfully did this strat for the first time last night. I remember reading about this when I was leveling and thinking about how easy this boss was going to be. The problems that I ran into was running out of mana. Don't stress yourself out too much about failures early on. As your gear gets a little better you will be able to do more. I don't think it is worth wasting time on trying to kill this guy. Have you farmed all the stuff out of blood furnance you wanted?Quote:

Yes, it's possible if you glitch the boss and exploit the riders aggro by hiding up the stairs. You won't do it legitimately at that level though.
Its not a exploit actually i will even ticket a GM to ask him when i come home from work to bring you the proof. You always were able to dps the dragon mid air without aggroing the rider but the MAIN problem with a normal group is that you will get both at once when the dragon lands. The dps with a "normal" (healer, tank, meele dps,2xranged dps) is never high enough thought to bring down the dragon fast enough and keep the rider busy.Quote:

So the normal way is to kill the rider then the dragon while a multiboxer does it the other way.
