Stupid people that are against MB

So i was doing ab yesterday, now that i got a good name for myself lots of people cheer me when they see me and ask where the pally and other 2 shams are (only dual in ab and eye... no too many spaces). Well anyways this one guy in bg chat was like i reported you stupid ass to blizzard for cheating. I was like i am not cheating i am MB and it is legal. And everyone else was telling him that it was legal. Then he was like well for now it is but it will be illegal cause i will keep reporting you till it is illegal. I told him that all accounts where mine and everything is legal. Then he goes off and says that well, the third party program is illegal and you will get band. Then I reply "OMG wireless keyboards are 3rd party programs". Then he was like no they are not, but the program that you use to control your guys are. Then i said back i don't use a program i use a wireless keyboard. Everyone in the bg lol him and he didn't say anything more.

When stuff like that happens i try to bate the person a little to slip and swear or say something bad in the chat, cause after bg is over i report him x 5, which will probably give him a temp band at least. In ab it isn't that much cause it's only 2 people to report so i usually don't bother. Just waiting for the day that someone says in bg chat "I just reported your botting, get a life you f**king nub", so i can then turn around and say "Thanks for reporting me, i returned the favor and reported you 5 times for swear in chat. Nothing will happen to me, but you will get at least a 2 - 24 hour band". I can see it now everyone in bg will be like "owned"

My advice is-- report them for swearing but don't let them know you are doing it. They will be all smug, thinking 'yeah, I showed that lousy cheater' and the next time they log in they're like 'WTF WHY AM I BANNED OMG THIS IS BS BLIZZARRRRRRRRRRRRD!!!!!'

With any luck they won't suspect that it was you, and they'll do it again the next time they see you in a BG! :D

Eh, people always seem to be whining in BGs about something, I'm sure if you hadn't been in that one, he'd be whining about something else.

And so far I've only seen one multiboxer in a battleground, it was in AV, and I think he had 3 guys, and he was awesome. A few people even cheered him on, so that was nice to see.

That would be great, but i don't know what the band would be. They have a 2, 12, 24, and 48 hour band. I don't know how up there in the rank is swearing, but x 5 should get some kind of band. If it is 2 hours it probably won't do anything (by the time blizzard looks into it and put the band on the person is probably signed off). If it is a 12 hour band that wouldn't be as bad depending on the time of day, like at 4pm server time that would suck cause there goes wow for that day, but if it is at night then it is almost like the 2 hour band. The 24 and 48 are the best cause they will see the affect of the band.

swearing can only get you a warning as well...the other day one of the Zergers swore at someone who was harassing us all in /tells and he just got a warning from the GM.

I am surprised swearing has any repercussions. The game is rated "M" and there is a filter not to say being rude is acceptable but I was always under the impression use of swear words was not a banable offense.

But the filter is only so good like ass might be blanked out but @$$ isn't. Same as fu ck or f*ck (the filter might get these, but you know where i am going)

The game is rated "T". That's why the filter is there.

Also, since I do use Software, when people point out that I'm using 3rd party software, I just remind them that Vent and TS are also 3rd party software that circumvent in-game functions. Their true intelligence level usually shows after that. :D

Oh i just remembered something. Remember the movie Titanic. There is a boobie seen in there and it was PG-13. Yes i know that they called it art and got away with it, but if it was art then why when it comes on normal tv they don't show it. Also Hackers (i know old movie, the movie they where like "OMG you have a 28.8 modem), they have another boobie shoot in it (of Angelina Jolie) and it was also rate PG-13. Do i even have to bring up disney movies?

Honestly I understand why people are against multi-boxing. It provides an advantage over other players on a human to human basis. Character to character there is no real advantage. But when you look at it from the perspective of people sitting behind the screen its an advantage you can essentially purchase. The advantage comes at the cost of extra money for monthly subscription costs and game purchase.

This is one of the biggest reasons people play these games, to escape real life and be in an environment where everyone starts off with an equal chance. In real life if you are competing for lets say a rare item like a luxury car, it will always go to the person with the most money. In game a rare item can be gotten through hard work and skill. The rich guy has no advantage. It can be said you get money IRL through hard work and skill, but that isnt always true, it has a lot to do with luck and who you know, and how rich your family is.

So then the way I see it, you are basically paying Blizzard, hardware vendors, and software creators(keyclone etc..) extra money to have an advantage over other people in a competetive game.

That said, the extra cost is relatively minor for any person working full time. But a lot of kids play WoW and they have no income, so I imagine they are the most likely demographic to have a problem with MBers.

Not to mention software applications that we use give us an ability to do things in game that are not humanly possible, how can that ever be considered fair? I remember playing against Aelli for the first time in 5v5 arena and my first feeling was "How can blizzard be ok with that? There isnt a human on earth that could activate 16 abilities in less then 2 seconds on 4 clients without the help of hardware or software assistance."

The ones who complain the loudest about it being an "unfair" advatantage are also the ones that will get run throughs of lowbie instances by a 70 or camp a level 30 w/ a 70 or /lol@ some ungeared 70 they just crushed while s3/s4 geared.

As far as everything else. Too friggin bad. I mind my own buiseness and do my own thing. I'm getting tired of hearing the bitching and whining and the vast majority of it is jealousy. Screw them.

here's something that always worked for me ignore them
All they can really do is whine and if they become pesky report them real simple.

The only advantage that a multi boxer gets is not having to wait for a group.

Anything a multi boxer can do can be done better by a group with actual people sitting behind them.

This is what many people fail to see and comprehend. They also think we are incapable of playing the game without cheating.

My favorite spot to set up macros and test them is outside org by the farm near the Zeppelin tower, just ends up that's where I do most my tweaking. I get onlookers who stick around for hours watching me kill pigs and run around in circles testing /follow. I get duel challenges all the time, and if the player is similar level, I'll accept and lose, almost every time. I have like no decent gear on any of my toons, and by themselves they are weak as hell. Most of them are still wearing lvl1 gear and empty slots. I duel them to show, I'm really not all that, but when I'm together, I'm a force to be reckoned with. Then comes the obligatory "lol you really sux noob, that's why yous box, you can't win unless you cheats, etc. etc." K one second, brb. Toon1 logs out, and is replaced by a S3/4 Warrior.

Just because I box doesn't mean I don't know how to play a single toon.

Life isn't fair, and neither is Azzeroth. Still, I don't see how multiboxing is unfair. Sure, you have 5 toons at your command, but you are also responsible for 5 toons vs only 1. I think the con's balance out the pro's; and I think that is as close an approximation of "fair" as anything else in Wow (life doesn't come anywhere near as close).

I also disagree that the advantages of multiboxing are "purchased". It is difficult to multibox, and there is alot of hard work, thought, and experimentation separating the time that you buy additional accounts and reach a point where you can achieve anything comperable to what a group of 5 individuals could accomplish. So when you buy your accounts and start on day 1, you have all the disadvantages, and non of the advantages. Sure, you can rule the starting area, but so can a single level 5 character, and he doesn't have to worry about getting followers stuck on bushes.

IMO, good multiboxers were excellent players already, and the reason they seem imbalanced is because you have an excellent player controlling a whole group rather than an excellent player who's skill is dilluted by the skill of the other players in his or her group.

The "unfairness" argument always gives me a chuckle. It takes a large dose of naivete or self-delusion to believe in the equality of human social interaction.

Just give them a pat on the back, tell them to keep it up, and they might change the world some day... ROFLMAO.

I've grown tired of the harassment. If it weren't for the reasonable (but typically silent) majority I would have some sort of nasty DND reply but I'd hate to offend the good people on my server.

I think I'll try KeyClone's approach to harassment by replying "Ni Hao" to harassers. I want to piss them off but I don't want to get into anymore embroiled arguments that are 100% pointless. I've tried to correct too many people and have learned there is nothing that will change their little minds so why bother.

After being called stupid in /say I did take a moment to send in a tell "Solo is the new Gimp LOL" followed with /ignore before they can respond.

Tried my first EOTS this weekend, and got stomped by a BG full of warriors and priests and warlocks. Fear was everywhere. Got my first hate too, from my own server none the less. It was fun to taunt him by correcting his mistakes until he swore at me. Then it was simple enough to report and then /ignore. He did it in trade chat too, and I know half of my guild reported him to for swearing since most of them are chat junkies and they monitor that stuff like it's going out of style.
