So I am in outlands leveling my quad box and a 70 rogue flys in...

When i get the tell of "get a life" i usually respond with "can i have yours as you seem not to be needing it"

I don't get hate tells. :( My server (Dreanor) seems to be pretty neutral WRT boxers, and I know we have a few teams playing - I've seen a couple of 3-boxers about, and I know there's at least one Horde 5 man operating.
The most I get is bored Hordies who try to interfere with my Lock's pet to get me to flag - some jerk did it to me in Winterspring last week while I was turning in quests. One minute I'm clicking buttons, the next my Lock is being ganked by Winterspring guards! Look at the combat log, yup, that Hordie standing next to the NPC did it. Then he proceeds to run around my lock's corpse emoting /chicken. (Still trying to figure out how...MC? Can you MC a felguard?)
Report, parked the lock at the GY until the flag comes off, go on my way. Get a tell from a GM that he will take care of it *personally*, after reviewing the logs and seeing that I was not flagged or doing anything to try and flag. (Methinks that GM does not like griefers who manipulate the PvP flag like that, heh...)
FYI, this is a PVE server, and I do not as a rule PvP with my team, ever. I have zero interest in PvP with them, or I would have nuked his ass with the druid and mage sitting right there - AND rolled on a PvP server. Some day, I might do that, I like PvP. But in this case, and this team, I was just trying turn quests in! I was in no mood to get into a PvP pissing match with the asshole, i was just trying to level.
But then, I see them doing it to EVERYONE. I rolled an alt once, was doing the quests in Goldshire Abbey, and some 70 Horde Huntard was doing the pet exploit to get lowbies to flag. So I logged and got on my PvP S1 rogue (this was during S2), who LOVES huntards for breakfast, and proceeded to gank his ass all over the map, purposely killing his pet while he was sapped. Stupid kept coming back, so I kept killing him, over and over. I HATE griefers who think ganking lowbies is lulz!
It was like this before BC came out - months of bored, asshole players with nothing better to do than annoy other players. Gah! I can't wait for Wrath to come out so i can level in vanilla WoW in peace!
I only get hate-tells if I try to play on the Horde side of the Ysera server. :S

I think somebody started a thread some time ago about changing attitudes towards multi-boxers over the past 6 months or so, and I've certainly noticed it.
When I first started multi-boxing WoW in April 2007, I got an uncomfortable amount of hate and attention, even on a PvE server, where what I'm doing has very little affect on other people.
In the past 3 months, I think I've had ONE negative whisper, and that was just an indignant "cheater!!!!!", the sender of which was quickly enlightened.
Basically, the anti-multi-boxers have done an amazing PR job for us by continually making inane threads full of asinine arguments that make them look like rabid lunatics while we're all perfectly rational and sensible individuals (*cough*) :)

Then the alliance push got the gy back and killed my team. The gy where i spawn was the one next to the base. I kept wiping on allies cause it was 10 of the and only 5 of me. So there was a horde on his mount that just kept yelling "YOU FUCKIN LOSER", i whisper with my main, which isn't a zag, and said why don't you unmount and fight, but he said i would if they leave. Then he kept on saying that the boxer sucks cause he keeps on dieing. Best part is when someone said well at least he is trying and i don't think that you can take on 10 allies either. So i was like screw him, i'm going to give him a 48 hour band, so i reported him 5 times saying that he was swearing in av. I get them constantly when I'm running dailies. Usually from low level alts. I find way more people are curious and think its cool then give me any sort of grief.
The "get a life" thing really bothers me. Not hurts my feelings, but bothers me. Like when the cashier can't figure our my coin change in their head. It especially bothers me when they player hating is in raiding gear. Wait, you are a raider and you are telling me to get a life. I know a lot of folks here raid, and that is cool. But I have raided in every dungeon in the game except Sunwell 25. That is how I ended up here. You spend 3 hours a day farming gold and doing dailies so you can afford to raid :/ I actually liked the 40 mans, can tolerate the 10 mans but loathe the 25 man raids. I'm not sure why but while the raid is going on I just sit there mashing buttons and hating the whole process.
I just wish they could come up with something better than 'get a life'. Dissing a MB'er for inefficient use of time is like chumping someone for having nice, white teeth.

I'm still trailing far behind as far as the hate goes! Last night someone in General said "multiboxing is not [sic] aloud", which at least two other people corrected for the guy even before I finished my "oh no, have you informed Blizzard?!" Later on, someone stopped to watch me kill orcs in Hellfire and said "I love watching multiboxers." Lightbringer Horde is awesome with multiboxer love.
I'm still having a largely positive response on Crushridge horde.
So far though, the 3 haters have all been higher levels picking on lower levels. I guess I can see where they'd have to be against multiboxing.
Besides that one guy hatting on me in AV. AV has been more then welcome with me. I think it is because of OX and ellay (for his short stay here).

If you really want to get the hate tells, troll around BGs just NAILING the same guy over and over. He is bound to call you a virgin basement lurker. Everytime I do BGs I get atleast 1 alliance to log on a lvl 1 and say how im fat, loser, etc... Then they say $75 on a game is ridiculous. At which point I'm like wait.... so because I have more money to blow than you I'm the loser? Ditch the burger flipping and get a job jeebus. Then they get angry when I say well actually it's $150 I just recently started another 5man group to 10box.
You referring to the Oxa team from US Crushridge? I play alliance on CR and ran into him for the first time last night in AV, when I saw him for the first time I was thinking, " :thumbsup: Cool, another multiboxer! :thumbsup: " He came with others and proceeded to wipe me several times over, he died one time I think, with my help but def not because of me alone. I think there are several lvl 70 horde MB groups on US CR, I don't know of any other alliance ones though, at least I haven't ran into any in shat yet.

BTW.. best strat i had found in EOTS is to keep going tower to tower.. make them defend or lose what they have... ended up winnin big:)

Just wanted throw in some input from Burning Legion (Horde).
When I first created my 5 shamans and they were all level 4 I had a troll mage questing in the newbie zone call me a loser faggot - that was a bit depressing because I thought it set the stage for the rest of my multiboxing career. But ever since then I've gotten nothing but love. Every time I show up in orgrimmar I get people whispering me like "Dude thats totally awesome", and then I'll put on a 5 shaman light show with totems, etc. Sometimes I have to avoid org because I get so many whispers of "thats cool" and "how do you do that" that I can't respond to them all. I also always get 2-3 people following me around the city seeing what I'm going to do.
I was questing in STV the other day and 2 same level ally druids started attacking me while I was afk reading a webpage...I came back in time to see them hitting me and a 70 shaman coming over the horizon to "help them out". 1 chain lightning killed both of them which made me LOL but then 1 chain lightning from the shaman killed 3 of my guys, then a couple smacks witha mace killed my other 2. Still, it was AWESOME killing both druids while their 70 friend came to help them kill me lol. After I died the 70 ally shaman /sigh'd to my main, which made me giggle more.
Last night as I'm about to clear the boss in death-holme and as I'm approaching the temple this lock calls me a botter. I target him /lol and call him a moron x5 (yes my patience wears thin at times). I dare him to petition me and his response is "na" but I notice he is following me into the temple so I figure since he is alone he's going to try to train me on the boss pull.
After rounding like the second corner inside I quickly snap back and run out but he kept running in. Good for him, enjoy the corpse run, loser.
I didn't see him again after that.
sometimes i wish we could kill our own faction....
But today, doing dailies and had a priest /spit on me in town... so i took 15 steps outa town and 1 shotted him in front of the guards:) His friends were /laugh at him when i walked back in:)
Also 1 shot a pally that was in ogr..
i respeced to 40/0/21 and man.. the macro for BF/EM/CL is sick

The hate for my guys seemed to die off about 55ish. People are getting used to me I guess. I dont see other boxers on Detheroc but Im sure there are some. I had a guy "test" me today to see if I was a farmer by asking me the quarterback to the patriots.
