Best place to do it is right before the ship zones out. The person will have to swim pretty far to get back to the boat. The other good thing is that if it is in deep water then the toon will die.

do u seriously believe blizzard didnt knew what it was going to turn into ?

its just one of those cool spells that will grab the player and continue to play, and in the future, it will get nerfed or work in a different way.

Depends. ;) if you're trying to take out a ranged class/flag carrier/etc., Thunderstorm won't do you much good, IMO.

Anyone remember when the "Unstoppable Force" PvP reward had knockback?

In both games you have the option to kill him sure its indeed hard when he comes in on a flying mount but in AoC you could kill the guy who did it. The guy in AoC who did it could might aswell just kill then with a singel blow.
