I think he means getting a 70 to boost lvl 1 veteran and recruit accounts to boost faster with 3x XP
Saying that it is fixed on US realms ?! Anyone else able to check?

My LvL 70 non-linked account is still able to boost my 4 RAF characters who still get the 3x experience in instances.
As for the OP's question, I don't understand what he's asking.

My Mage is on a non linked account, I've been able to boost my three shammy to 40 in less then a week.

I just logged onto my accounts on USA (post maintenance) and it works fine in Scarlet Monastary, a level 70 (unlinked) with 4 30s (RAFs) and all got 3x xp for mobs inside and mobs outside. So it works fine still for level 70 boosting.
What I believe they fixed was the "level 1 ghost" bug, where a level 1 could follow someone around in ghost form and the person would get 3x XP for quest turnins. Since most people on these forums are RAF'ing to actually level multiple 70s, not just a single alt, it probably doesn't affect anyone here.
Of course any day the could nerf the level 70 boosting as well, by making it so that if the mob is grey to anyone in the party then the 3x xp does not apply. May never happen either, ya just don't know. (and yes I know Blizzard has said its a bug). don't count on waiting until tue's for them to fix stuff either, if they get a bee in their bonnet they can hotfix it any day of the week (Zolo was hotfixed on a fri I think, after being in game for years).

Sorry to have been unclear, I meant both the level one trick and the unintended ability to get 3x experience while boosting.
According to everyones testimony they did fix the level one ghost exploit but left boosting alone for now...
The boosting is way more important and I hope they turn a blind eye to it.
Unless I am missing something, the level 1 ghost trick sounds lame anyway... like really? running around for xp... c'mon, doesn't even sound efficient.

While there is no debate it was cheesy (and a pretty textbook exploit) if you had no 70 to boost you and didn't want to pony up for another account it made basic leveling three times as fast, as the new raf bonus is most pronounced when questing.Quote:

Sounds like the "level 1 ghost" trick was something that people exploited so that they wouldn't have to pay for the new account -- just leave it as a trial account (if you use up the 10 day trial period, create a new one).

i think the ghost trick is too much of a pain. You cannot follow in ghost form so you would have to move the ghost if you got too far away.
Once again I'm not denying it was cheesy and/or an exploit, but it was useful in certain circumstances. For example if you has a main at 40-59 and wanted them to get three times the quest exp. Also it was not about the money as even if you paid for another account as it works now your main does not get three times exp you need two same level characters.Quote:

This is what I do regularly after wiping -- just /follow LeaderName and head back to the instance.
When I lose just one character in PvP, sometimes if the GY is close enough I'll move him near my alive ones (who are busy drinking/eating) instead of rezzing. They are also able to /follow my alive characters.
RAF boosting was similar in mechanics to boosting normally (pre-RAF). Boosting normally was confirmed to be not an exploit, and RAF 300% bonus was confirmed to be not an exploit, and lastly (and most importantly) boosting + RAF was confirmed not be an exploit (by GM Syndri in the ORIGINAL thread about RAF in the customer service forums the same day RAF was announced). Most of us wouldn't have boosted if a GM hadn't confirmed the behavior was expected on day 1.Quote:

Boosting + RAF was confirmed numerous times by GMs to be non-bannable (and indeed was at a previous point in time confirmed to be the expected behavior). Ghost-RAF'ing wasn't confirmed by the GMs at all.
