I am sorry but PiP fails and needs an over haul.

I am running on 2 displays. When I switch screens the screen on the second monitor sometimes end up on the main monitor. When you switch focus of player in party and have the button also to the screen switch at the same time. It doesnt always grab focus. If you have other windows open behind the main screen when you switch it will come to the front. If you switch too many times Desktop Windows Manager lags to shit till you restart it via Task Manager. I am wondering what is being done about these bugs? I hope it is beta?

quad core 3.4
9800 gtx
8gigs of ram

complain to blizzard about their re-rendering of the surfaces when your resize their app.

i'm sure they'll be most obliging

First off let me say I enjoy the program I own 2 copies. I have also already sold more than 10 copies for you by talking to people in game, but this broken and needs to be fixed. Now that I said that here is my grievances. You are saying that re sizing wow windows causes the Desktop Windows Management to get laggy? Yet I can run 4 just fine and switch between them with out and issue re-size with out an issue. I run tons of bots here at my house and they have zero problem resizing on the fly. Restarting Desktop Windows Manager fixing the lag also points to not WoW. Which leads me to believe it is this program. How about my pip over lapping my main monitor, that blizzard too? Or maybe when it changes it doesn't accept clicks while switching. Granted it is half way seamless on my comp but it may take multiple clicks. (this could be wow related). The windows in the background also popping up front isn't wow related.

Talking to me like I am some idiot is piss poor customer support btw. I run my company based off good customer support and it is paramount. I am not some dildo 14 year old kid with nothing better to do than bitch. I used the search function, I used googles search function, I even used your help(which isn't much help) to find my answer before I came here to see what the deal was. If you have some insight other than some smart ass remark I am all ears. Maybe I came off a bit brash but I was a bit pissed that every 15 minutes I have to ctrl alt delete and stop Desktop Windows Manager if I switch focus screens. So please enlighten me if you know how to stop all of this so I can put my sandy vag away and quit my bitchen :love:

Yes as in the ones we are not supposed to mention here so I will respect that. I left the names of what I use out on purpose. I am using them as a reference point to show my point and not advertising or promote botting.

How are you resizing when you swap between them without using PIP? Are you just alt- tabbing between a full size instance and several windowed instances? Something you might want to try is making sure your aspect ratios are right on to help with re-rendering. Having a window that is just off a normal ratio does cause some slowdown on rendering. There are sites that can tell you the correct 4:3 or 16:9 ratios for whatever size window you are trying to work with. Just a suggestion.

As for the one helpful post all the aspect ratios are the same and at 800x600 so 4:3. All the settings are the same except some windows are smaller on the secondary window. The problem lies with in the Desktop Windows Manager and how Keyclone switches windows. After a few switches it will start to lag almost to the point if becomes about unusable 7-10fps. Once Windows Desktop Manager is restarted there is no longer a issue. As for the resizing of windows on my other machines. I resize and relocate on my desktop according to how many clients I use.

Things to add to this I am using Vista 64 Ultimate. All device drivers are up to date.

Did you fail reading comprehension in school or just not there yet? But lets not get off topic. Anyone have any ideas?

More info back for the helpful post. I made sure all settings are the same there were a few off like environmental detail. This cleared up some of the issues. Going to continue testing and see if that works out the problems. It very well might lie in the minor differences in the game clients. All the resolutions texture resolutions etc were the same it was that one minor thing that may have caused it. So far no lag the screen still ends up in the wrong place but can't be perfect i suppose. The lag is at least gone. Guess we have to wait for it to get polished a bit more. Till then its now bearable. I will put the sandy vag away for now.

EDIT: Didn't fix the problem still after about 30 minutes and a switch it gave lag till i restarted desktop windows manager.

Phelon, the problem is in your delivery. You come across as an arrogant foot-stamper and got treated as such. That's the way of the world.

Running your own company, I'm sure you recognise that managing relationships (not just customer service) is actually key to making a company work, and that has to go in all directions - including your suppliers. That just didn't come across in your initial post, which means the thread got derailed by indignant members of the community in which you find yourself.

And that's a real shame, because the problem you report is similar to one my wife's been experiencing on her two-screen setup, and I was hoping for something more constructive than this. I will get her to try the DWM restart though - that's something we hadn't tried.

The only difference between your reported problems and hers is that she doesn't get the "warning lag" you're talking about. The window pops over to screen 1 ok, then sometimes just refuses to go back to screen 2, and that continues until we restart KC.

The number of swaps doesn't seem to make much difference, and neither did questioning the parenthood of the PC, randomly cursing, praying or bashing the keyboard 8|

Oltecs: The way to get it to pop back over I found with out restarting is to open keyclone set up and then re click apply it will stick it back for you. Granted the delivery was harsh but seeing a product sold as finished when it is clearly not was my complaint. Hell I own 2 copies of this software it isn't that I don't like it, it is that I expected a polished product, not one that causes me frustration. The lag thing I dont get and I am going to play with it some more today and see if I can fix it and report back.

keyclone has been getting updated since it was first released 2 years ago. i was averaging a new release every 3 weeks for about a year... until v1.8k (RL work getting in the way a bit). this is why you get all updates for free. i take suggestions and input... and adjust accordingly.

... i will put pip on the list to see if i can find a performance improvement for the next release

I know where the community is coming from daily I get called a botter because of this. Which in light I actually explain to them and educate them on the difference. I was just using resizing screens and why I do it as a reference point nothing else.

To the maker of keyclone. I saw your revision today and I appreciate. I am harsh and honest but fair. You do good work and i approached it the wrong way same as you. I will try to make my posts more constructive in the future. I will do my best to make my bug reports a little less offensive and hopefully come up with better feed back. On that here is my findings today.

Making all windows at 30 FPS helps what I found to be the issue at this point (mind you this is speculation) is hitting the keys a few more times than once while in transition between windows. If I switchslowly and let it do its thing with only one key press I do not lag out Desktop Windows Management, but if I hit it in a fury while getting pvp'd I run into issues. What I might suggest is a forced key delay til the focus window is switched and then allow keystrokes. This I can see can be an issue for hammering keys to execute spells while switching but maybe make it centralized to only the PiP key. I hope this helps. Again I apologize for my brash attitude but frustration sets in when it isn't working to my standards. I look forward to more RC's from you and and overly satisified with my 2 purchases. Fix that and I belive this to be golden.
