Stuck on lvl 69, LF help :D

Hey guys,

I am running a 1 prot pally 4 shaman team, they are all 69 now. I did almost all quests in Netherstorm and SMV, i only have some very hard 5 man groupers left, which i couldn't complete (i tried). And i have some grinding quests left. I really dont want to do the grinders because they go so slow and are so boring :P

I just tried shadowlabs, but its deffinately too hard. I just cant manage to keep agro on 3+ mobs. I really hope anyone can give me advice, i was thinking of running blood furnace normal and just grind that over and over again. And hope that will get me level 70 tomorow.

Any other solutions? I really hope anything got anything helpfull to fix this situation. I really want to get 70 tomorow, because i can also do 5v5 then for points for wednesday :) (and im tired of leveling).

Wow... how'd you manage to do quests in all the zones without hitting 70? There must have been a lot you skipped somewhere... even leveling my rogue immediately after TBC, I didn't even get to do any quests in Netherstorm, and I pretty much went the whole way no rest XP and missed a bunch of quests I didn't know about, AND pretty much skipped all the instances quest too which is a ton of XP right there. Seems odd but guess it's possible!

Hmm, if I was faced with grinding at L69 I'd probably run Sethekk if you have towers, it should be easy and give decent XP + spirit shards for a nice ring or sell the potions.

Do you have a resto shaman?

Dooing shadow labs with green quest gear can be kinda thought and very hard without a proper healer. My advice is to respec one of your shamans resto wich actually is pretty nice since you get manatide totem and crit heals increase your shamans armour with 25%..

And why are you downgrading yourself to a 62 instance wich is even easier then ramparts? Why not try durnholde keep? All bosses are right ahead there apart from the last boss but i would assume its doable..

Have you ever tried tanking properly? (i dont mean that in a rude way) ;)

My suggestion if not is to join pugs and tank wtf you get a group in no time as prot and:

1. You get the gear wich makes it ALOT easier to boost your shamans in gear.
2. You get the best out of your tanking and can focus only on that while instancing. You need the feel in tanking it takes time to learn even if you only play one char.

If not i would recomend you to start on the lower levels but from what ive seen some encounters are easy as pie while others is harder then certain raid bosses as a boxer, and its all about practice. :)

Even a green geared paladin with minimal spell damage gear should be able to keep aggro from green geared elemental shamans.

Make sure you have retribution aura, sanctuary blessing, and rightousfury up, and just wait like 3 seconds before u start nuking :)

Never let Holy shield down as its great aggro.

I really think once u get that working, u can do SL for instance very easyly.

Anyways as to your problem, i am fairly sure you skipped a WHOLE lot of quests. Either u go back and do some of them or u keep at trying to run instances.

It's pretty easy actually. Your rogue hit 70 without doing them all because you get 500-600 xp per kill as a single player, but you only get about 100 xp per kill as a group. I've been running out of quests every other level since about 59. Yes there is the odd quest here and there that I skipped, but only because they're not feasible with a group unless I want to yield about 30k xp per hour.

I would just blast through the highest level instance you know you can do. By the time you figure out the perfect way to get to 70, you could've just grinded it out anyway :)

Most games i only enjoy on easy settings but wow gets fun the harder it is (By hard i dont mean random) Only encounter that annoyed me so far was the twin emperors who always as good as one shotted our tank for 3 or 4 weeks.

There are some guides on wowwiki for gearing a prot paladin to be uncrushable/uncritable with mostly quest items. I followed it to a T when I was leveling my prot pally and he seems to be able to hold agro on anything and live a good while in the process. It you are having trouble holding agro I would check your spec and gear and finally your technique because you should be able to hold it pretty easily on non-heroics. Check out the wowwiki for a lot of guides on all of those items :D

I ran durnholde 3 times last night with my 70 paladin (only uncritable) and my 4 x Level 66 shamans. I definately recomend this instance as once you get the escorting down to a science it's a pretty easy run. If I didn't want to have all the blue reputation pvp gear when I hit 70 I would probably run this the whole way to 70. The one hint I would give is during the first phase of escorting thrall. When you are dropping the 4 packs of mobs don't dps the last of the pack down and use that time to regen mana with your shamans and paladin. If you do it this way you should end each pack of mobs with nearly full mana. This really makes this phase of escorting a breeze.
