Theorycrafting - All Healer Group?

Due to some substitutions to my original group, and the fact that I suffer from Altoholism, I find myself with several "unused" healing classes that are near 70. This got me thinking that there might be a way to create an interesting, heroic-capable group from my so-called leftovers. I currently have: 70 Resto Druid, 66 Holy Priest, 65 Tankadin and 44 Resto Shaman, all on different accounts. The Shaman has other groupies at 44 (working towards an all-Shaman group) but I could speed her up a bit if needed. I'm also willing to boost 1-2 additional characters up to join a nucleus, but more than that would hurt. I currently have 3 PCs and can do 1x3x1 or 1x4 and don't want more than 3 different classes.

Anyway, here are my thoughts at the moment:

What I Like -- I'm not an expert on SPriests, but have dabbled a bit and they seem to be solid dps for instances, and the VE/VT plus Fort would be nice. Res, fear, fear ward, MoTW, good resists and aggro shedding round out a nice theoretical combo. Plenty of mana generation to boot.
Concerns -- I don't know how to play SPriests, so there would be a learning curve. I also don't know how much faith to put in VE/VT (versus, say totems). Limited CC is another problem.

What I Like -- The synergies with HPriests and the Paladin intrigue me(Judgment of Crusader, etc.). It's also easy to get good druid tanking gear through LW and Paladins are durable healers able to shed aggro. Again, nice buffs and resists available. Unlimited Mana from BoW and VE as well.
Concerns -- Druids don't tank multiple mobs as well, which means more fiddling, which means I will be less efficient with dps. CC is still an issue and I don't have a good feel for the Druid/Pally pairing, which will also be a learning curve.

What I Like -- I'm always drawn to 1+4 combos, for some reason. I like the fact that I'll have 4x 70 Druids when I'm done, so I can spec them differently depending on how WotLK plays out. Spell synergies could also be tricky, macro-wise.
Concerns -- I hate losing the Priest buffs, fear ward and health/mana regen. I'll also have a tougher time finding gear and will have to roll up 3 more toons, which kinda sucks

So, what are some of your observations or suggestions? Are there other group suggestions? Things I'm missing?

#3 sounds best imo, the holy trinity group, the #2 I assume will just be kicking out minimal dps, making it longlasting, boring and make you go oom. #1 I cannot comment since I'm neither that good with Spriests.

Btw, you said a Druid cannot tank multiple mobs, well with swipe ability you can tank up to 3 mobs at the same time.

I was kicking this around as well. It might allow some PvP along with high-end Heroics. I also don't recall seeing this grouping anywhere before, though I'm sure somebody, somewhere runs it.

4x Holy Priest (or perhaps one Disc Priest for better buffs)

Things I Like: Renew x 4, PoM x 4 (I'd think this would be amazing for PvP), lots of mana, AoE possibilities, Pally/Priest synergies. I also like my "brain" to be more sturdy. One drawback to my current Priest/4xHunter group is that when my Priest goes down, my Hunters are much less effective.
Concerns: CC is still a pain, but that's becoming a theme. Would this group be able to swing Heroics? I might not be able to use an aura/blessing combination that would help the priests and still be able to tank.

Any thoughts specifically on this group? I'm beginning to strongly consider it, so please poke some holes in my logic =)

My spriests are in their 50s but I find VT to be a bit underwhelming. VE gives nice steady stream of healing from 4 priests but VT doesn't return as much mana as I have hoped (even x4).

if you can get your pally well geared, you don't really need too much cc.
for priests mind control is pretty good 'cc' also. and don't forget shackle

there are also videos of pally + 4 holy novaing priests in instances. it is short on mana but works quite well on trash pulls.
in wotlk priests gets essentially the aoe mindflay in mindsear so could become even more viable.

on the other hand, bear tank and no cc = simply will not work (needs crazy back and forth swiping, starfire/moonfire to pull with to keep multiple aggro well)

This is good for gearing up sidebar characters. I gear a druid, paladin, warrior by swapping out warlocks.

Sometimes I run with the druid and my priest to heal for groups of friends. ToL druid is silly stupid with the instant casts, I use voice commander almost all the time for the druid and its just second nature now.

An all healer group seems slow to me, but those VERY old skool all priest Onyxia and UBRS videos do show that it could be fun.

All all shadow priest groups annoy me with the short range of mind flay, thats just too close for a caster for my play style.

I like the idea of Pally + 4x Nova for AoE possibilities. No aggro stealing and the only drawback is massive mana consumption, but you can gear around that somewhat. I haven't read anything on HPriest dps potential, so I may wander over to EJ to see if I can dig up some comparisons.

Back on topic, if you build yourself correctly, you can have very nice holy dps. I'm farther down the disp tree than most holy/disp priests but I find my build to be good enough for doing some damage, especially when solo'ing. The nice thing is, having a strong disp build heals better in raids and instances than the more holy concentrated builds, imho. It takes some management, but I like it :D

That's actually a pretty good idea. I toyed around with the idea of 4 holy priests and a prot pala, because of the amazing synergy with paladins sanct aura, but eventually gave it up because it would hurt the paladins tanking capabilites too much to spec that way, but I never thought about having a pala for healer and three priests for the dps. That way you could have the 10% holy damage aura in addition to the 219 holy damage taken from judging crusader. Very nifty with buffs as well. Only problem would be lack of CC.

actually if you do pally(tank) 3xholy priest pally(healer)
then you'd have best of both worlds.
that way your tank will benefit from sanct aura too.
also with three alternating prayer of mendings, you'd have no problems with aggro on adds, since thats a lot of heal aggro for the tank.

Holy nova consumes a lot of mana, you wouldn't be able to kill heroic mobs fast enough before running OOM with it.

Spriests are easy to gear up, just level up tailoring on all of them and you have a fully decked out character at 70, that will only need some badge gear.

Heroics are going to be hard no matter what, imo. Mixing too many classes means you won't get peak efficiency (for example your resto druids would be mostly keybound to heals, and probably not be able to cyclone/root fast enough loose mobs). Spriests have very, very good DPS in heroics/T4, it only drops off relative to other classes in the high T5/T6 levels. With a pally tank plus 4 VE's from priests in non-shadow form + 4 quick heals you should be able to do most heroics. I think places like heroic MagT, shadow lab, shattered halls will give lots of headaches but thats true for any multiboxer really.

4 holy priests would be similar too, although imo the DPS gains from shadow outweight the heal gains from holy - much of the holy talents are about maximizing HP/s, and in heroics the trash is usually the hardest part, and none are fights longer than 5 minutes, so maximizing efficiency not that important. You will probably want a pally tank though, just being able to aveng shield, consecrate and getting back mana from heals (including VE) is massive synergy. It'll be a lot easier having the other 4 be the same class, rather than trying to mix it up.

Think more about all the times when stuff goes bad and how you'll react to that - DPSer pulling aggro, tank getting low on health, pulling adds, mobs running away, etc. Invariably its a ton easier with a pally tank (few keys to tank, can tank a ton of mobs, mini shield wall at 35% health) and 4 others who are all the same class and same key binds.
