I'm going to be in San Antonio, Texas for a few days (Oracle developers conference) and I have a couple of evenings free. Can anyone recommend some eating places or things to do?

I will get right back to you. I have a bunch of buddies there working as sat-com contractors.
now you looking for normal people stuff or get drunk and lick a goat stuff?
actually the river walk is awesome, has tons of places to eat, and things to see and do. that is what I do when I go there
Lol, normal people stuff, not much of a drinker, I'll have a beer or two, but that would be it.
(Being Texas I imagine, it would be cattle licking rather than goat licking... )
Yeah man, I would say do the river walk. Lots of shops, stores and restaurants and live music and stuff like that.
Cheers. Seems like the river walk will cover enough eating and drinking places for me. Rather than licking goats, I play board games and there seems to a group that meets at a San Antonio gaming shop, I might check that out too if I have time.
Good luck! If you are feeling crazy come up to Austin and I will let you tour my workplace nude lol.
:-) Ah, gee, thanks... might leave the crazy juice at home.
Aside from Lackland AF Base, the Riverwalk is the only thing I remember about San Antonio honestly. Then again, all I remember about Austin was the traffic.
Just be glad they scheduled this for June. A couple more months and it will be averaging 40C. :p
