HOWTO: Multibox SWTOR on one PC with ISBoxer!

So I just started setting up ISBoxer for dual boxing.

So I decided to create this thread so everyone posts their best ways of doing things or use it to ask for solutions for some problems and/or optimize setup.

FOLLOW:
I only found out one way of doing it. Toons have to be in same party.

Target Party Member (N) bind
+
Follow Bind

ASSIST:
Not happy at all since I have two keys (one to acquire target and another to dps) but here's what I do:

Target Party Member (N) bind (only once)
+
Target of Target bind

DPS

I tried to make three steps:
1) target main
2) acquire target target
3) dps

But spamming the key kept cycling between steps (as it should :P)

There are a few threads going on about this, this one seems a good place. I did exactly what you did.. made 3 step keymaps the same way you describe.. same result. I ended up just using key broadcasting and tab targeting. Also, the following was driving me crazy, the followers camera always ends up spun around. But using assit would help that hehe.

I don't think it will get any more simple than how you are doing it now. Without macros, we will just have to revert back to the old days 8) ( well not really,but its not as simple as other MMOs to box )

For me this method had one flaw. When engaging a mob group in front of you, it kinda works ( as mentioned, multiple hits on the same button are needed). However, if u engage a group that spawned on your sides or behind you, some times the clone cannot rotate fully to attack. So you have to move abit away, and rotate both of them.
However, the OP mentioned method is the closest way to "box" instead of key broadcasting.

UPDATE ON DPS:

I had an extremely limited time to try it out but it worked 100% of the time:

I merged the first two steps in one:

1) target main + acquire target target
2) dps

If someone is willing to try please give feedback but it worked just fine, it kept the good target and dpsed accordingly.

Excuse me for the noobish question, but could you possibly explain how did you do this? Key Maps have 1 action per step, dont they? I am new to this, so I must be missing something :(

You can put any number of Actions in the same Step. The purpose of a Step is for you to have to hit the button again to execute more (different) actions.

Can two instances, one per PC, be run in window mode? And still pass keybinds and such? When i alt-tab to make changes in ISboxer, it screws up my game and i have to exit and relaunch. P.I.T.A.

I have one thought regarding picking the classes for dual-boxing.

As tempting as it could be to have a couple of Sith Inquisitors, I just don't find it practical due to story parts where "only one inquisitor allowed" is the rule. You have to leave the other at the door, do what you have to do with the first come back and then do it again, the exact same thing... (boredom warning...).

So the solution, at least for me is to pick two diferent classes starting in the same planet and be therefore able to go around with both together 100% of the time (at least as far as my knowledge goes.

What are your thoughts on this?
