Hello, im thinking of starting to dual box (2 chars) every sence I saw this on youtube it looks so fun. But idk if my system can handle it
here are my specs: AMD processor 2.0 Ghz, 1 GB of ram and a 6200 Nevida Gefore
I also have 2 monitors and got it to use it and got to wow clinets running and it seemed fine about 20 fps on one char but i dont have 2 accounts so i was only logged into one and the other was siting at the loading screen does it change if I have 2 chars up and running anyway thanks for the input always looking for tips also!

You might be able to run two clients, but I can't guarantee anything. My guess is you'll have to crank down the visual settings quite a lot, though.
-
ya ill give it a try and if not I can allways get a new video card but how do you guys get wow to be set up so nice like in perfect squires? I seem to be having trouble with that
-
Its not gonna work. your computer is gonna be like WTF is going on.
My current computer is
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.19ghz
1.5gigs ram
5900 Ultra Video Card
and I have a hell of a time running two wows. Without a duel core or something its gonna lag to shit.. But then again this is MY experience
-
your box should be able to handle 2 wows. just turn down the grfx and make sure to set your maxfpsbk to 15 or less and maxfps to 40 or less.
also consider running at a low res.. this helps reduce the work your graphics card and cpu need to do

Silly question, but do you have a 70 shaman? and used to have a 60 hunter called Amazu? If not it's just a coincidence :O
-
Nope got a 70 priest and a 60 mage tho called amazo ^^. Thanks for all the reply's i think ima try it also what is maxfpsbk?
-
maxfps == maximum frames per second while active
maxfpsbk == maximum frames per second while in the background
-
Lowering your maxfps and maxfpsbk should really help with any problems you're having.
I used to have one or two clients randomly crash on me until I lowered mine. Since then I havn't had a single WoW crash.
I'm not sure if this is still hanging around the main pages, but the ingame commands are
/console maxfps 40
&
/console maxfpsbk 15

I'd say get some more RAM. Try walking through IF with 1g then Try walking through with 2G. I used to hate walking through IF on my laptop.
