A new branch of multiboxing

Hello.

I have started multiboxing (well dual boxing) about a week ago, and it has been TOTALLY AWESOME! (using the RAF system)
And I have come to an idea right now... Like a next step or a branch of multiboxing, I think it's related because it's multiboxing that gave me the idea.

The idea is that I will use keyclone and have 2 seperate monitors and 2 keyboards on the same computer.
Has anybody come up with a similar idea before?

Problems that I have right now is...

What kind of hardware and software is required to use 2 monitors?

What kind of software or hardware can I use to rebind the keys on a keyboard (because I'm using keyclone)?

What kind of software do I use to have 2 mouse pointers on 1 computer (one on each screen)?

When I get this solved, I plan on making a guide how to do this, because I think many people would find a lot of enjoyment through a system like this.
I just hope I'm the first one to come up with the idea so that I have contributed with something atleast - for everything this site has given me. :)

Little sidenote is that me and my brother want to play but his laptop is kinda bad, my computer is great and I can multibox easily with it.

Hardware boxing? What makes this special? I'm not really following..

I currently can 5 box no problem on my computer. I run 2 x 24" Dell Widescreens and each one has it's own HD 3870 running it. I have a Quad Core CPU (Q9650) and my main window run on cpu 0 and 1, 2nd and 3rd window run on 2 and 4th and 5th window run on 3. My main window never lags.

If i'm running a 2 box setup i have 1 window on 1 monitor, 1 window on the other monitor and each window has 2 cpu cores assigned to it.

IMO, It sounds like you what you want to do is take multiboxing and make it more difficult then it needs to be. The whole 2 keyboard and 2 mouse thing sounds weird to me. Why not just run 2 different computers if you want keyboard x 2 and mouse x 2?

It's just that we kinda don't have the cash for a new computer just yet, students ya know.

Not really off topic. You were asking about extra monitors and hardware and stuff and i was telling you what i am able to do and what hardware i have. I didn't realize you were going to try this so that 2 people on the same computer at once. I'm not sure how that would play out but if you did do that, it's technically not multiboxing. I've never had 2 keyboards and 2 mice hooked up at the same time but it'd be interesting to see how it works out. If you do it please update with what info you find. Also, if you're going to have 2 mice and keyboards do you really need Keyclone?

Yes, I will keep my progress updated in this topic.

Let me elaborate the keyclone problem/solution.

If I use keyclone, a keypress on one client will be simulated on the other client.
Pressing W on one screen will emulate a keypress of W on the other, that's great. But I don't want it to do that, I want W to move one screen but maybe a custom made key that I'll call W2 emulate moving forward on the other client.

This will in theory make playing 2 humans using 2 different interfaces to play 2 seperate accounts on 1 computer.

For example, I have my keybinds and I observe my client on 1 screen with my keyboard (with keyclone)
Me pressing W on my keyboard will make my character move forward.

My brother will have the same setup, but his keyboards buttons will be "rebound" so that when he presses his physical W a command will be sent to Keyclone which is as if he has pressed the theoretical W2 and the theoretical W2 will move his character forward.

AFAIK if you connect 2 keyboards to a computer when you hit W on either keyboard you only get a W. I would certainly be interested to hear if there is anyway to get a different keystroke from a second keyboard. I am sure it is possible with programmable keyboards but as you are doing this to save money, I doubt that would be in your budget.

Umm, wait your trying to play 2 accounts off one computer and map it so that you can each play wow, using one computer? Hmm with all the wow keys it might be possible with the keybinds. Interesting.

Just setup each keyboard with different bindings and instead of using wasd to move just use ijkl or somehting? Kind of like what the guy above me said.
