Hmm even though it definitely looks like the lich kings eyes it can still very easily be something else all together that they just drew intentionally to make look like something we have already seen before to throw us off the tracks. Anyone stop and think that perhaps what's important here isn't what is being shown through the ice but rather what is inside the ice looking out into what looks like space?

Now look above the eyes of the lich king, you should see that same very pronounced V shaped ridge there.
Everyone keeps saying ice... I don't see ice at all. The entire screen looks like crystal pylons to me. And the eyes look more like Zeratul's (protoss zealot) than anything else.
But we'll see. The good news is that it can't be bad news :D

this is the back of the Diablo 2 cd case, i scanned the one i had and cropped this up, its in the middle of the four pictures. Now tell me that doesnlt look a hell of a lot like those eyes and the v shaped area between them

edit: and to people thinkign that migth be ice; i wouldnt rule it out myself, but if u remember tyrael destroyed the world crystal at the end of act 5 in diablo 2, it was red when he smashed it and then became a clearish blue color when it was shattering/falling apart because he had cleansed it with his sword. im not saying thats definetely what it is but it could be that from the world crystal diablo was somehow reborn or (insert theory here)
I can say this much, it ain't Diablo 3...

It's DIABLO 3!!!!! I just ruined my shorts! Guess all the ice crap was to throw us off.. today's splash looks nothing like the others.. it's just the D3 logo. :)
