This is what my wife said before I had her edit it out. I'm a meany I know.
In response to remanz question above and to continue on what the wifey said... She's not really into gaming, but she does support me. This was her way of making a joke by with an undertone of knowing what's important.Quote:
I am so over WoW and you have not even started. EVERYONE---please go kiss your wife/girlfriend/significant other/goldfish/whatever and tell them they are more important than anything on your computer...
If you try to talk to me about your quest/characters/swords/whatever....I will ignore you.
I will stalk your videos just to make fun of you and your ridiculously bad commentary. See "jiggle jiggle wiggle" as reference of this at 1:14. Yes, I found that. Ridiculous.
After baby(ies) go to bed, you can play. If I am exhausted and have gotten said baby(ies) to bed already numerous times---I WILL come in and unplug your computer.
Please, continue living in dreamland that you'll be able to guide our son onto a path of Shamans, Death Knights, Paladins OR Mages; letting you believe this makes it easier to control you.
That's what the past week has been about for me, is it worth the investment. I really really do miss WoW and I 'think' I've found a plan that works.
To give a brief history back in the day I was able to put in 10-12 hours a day into the game because I had no one to say otherwise. Times were good for self indulgence.
After taking a break from the game, found a wonderful wife and made a family. We now have an 18 month old and another one almost here. Kids (and a wife) but especially young children consume an incredible amount of time, and looking back on it it's the time where if you don't make the most of it. It will be a regret down the road. Yet it is a constant struggle for me. I've always gamed since I was 4, it's basically a part of me and our generation to my reckoning is not going to grow out of it like one does of a toy.
My 'plan' is to play/stream from 9-11pm each night guaranteed time slot for wow. That's at least 10 hours for the week not counting days off and I can still hit the gym in the mornings! I'm doing this for fun, it's my time to unwind and hell I miss this community :)
