User Interface

• The User Interface panels have been resized so there is no more need for scroll bars.The
• Addons will no longer be able to intelligently swap items by working with the built-in Equipment Manager.
• Character talent specializations can now be viewed on mouseover of the Battlegrounds Scoreboard.
• There is now a Dismiss Pet option on unit frames.
• The durability character display will now show items as yellow when they are below 20% durability, instead of when items have 5 durability or less.
• The Macros window and Spellbook can now both be open at the same time to allow for more intuitive macro creation. In addition, the Macros window has a Save/Cancel button.
• It is now easier to change the language of the game client to any language available in the region.
• A target or focus target can be selected within the mini-map tracking (does not include enemy players).
• Vendors now display currency types they use.

What exactly is the functionality of this? At first glance I thought it may have been a return to use of mini-map for targeted spells like blizzard etc. but realise now it is actually targetting a specific unit which doesn't help for these AoE type spells. Is it only useful for hunters/druids who have some sort of tracking capabilities then I wonder?

Doesn't that just mean that the target and focus target icons on the minimap can be enabled or disabled?

Yep that's it. My thinking got off track initially with wild thoughts of the targetting via mini-map system coming back :P I was thinking that a focus or target were able to be selected via the mini-map, not the mini-map tracking...

In Short:

Your Valor Points + Justice Points can't exceed 4000 when the patch comes out. If it does, the amount of leftover Valor Points will turn into 47silver per point...

So if you have 2900 Justice Points and 1200 Valor Points, you will login with 4000 valor points and (100 x .47=) 47 gold.

Looks like patch might be pushed back a week for release.

• The game now separately tracks different Conquest Point caps for Battlegrounds and Arenas.   • Example: During the first week of Season 10 everyone starts with a rating below 1500. Therefore, the cap from Rated Battlegrounds will be 1500 1650 and the cap from Arena rating will be 1000 1350. In the first week, the character wins enough Arena matches to reach the 1000 1350 point cap. After that point, Arena wins will no longer grant Conquest points for the week. However, the character can still earn up to 500 300 additional points, but can only earn those points from either Rated Battlegrounds, or from the Conquest Point bonus for holiday and/or daily random Battlegrounds. The following week the cap will be recalculated based on the character's ratings, and it is possible Arena rating could now generate the higher cap. The second week, the character's cap from Arena rating is 1600 1800, and the cap from Rated Battlegrounds is 1500 1650. The character has a total cap of 1600 1800 Conquest points for the week. Up to 1500 1650 points can be earned from Rated Battlegrounds, but the last 100 150 must come from a different source.

so i can olny get 1000 points form arana and the others have be from Arana (not sure if the PvE Hc's points will match over?) and you can go over and fill up without doing rated BG.

Rated BG are a fail and blizzard makeing you use them really upsets what they think to the arana games.

I am wanting to play to Shamans again in 4.2, think about doing BGs mostly and maybe some arena.

However, I am on the fence about Elemental or Enhancement.

I think Enhancement would be fun, but I already have a melee base team (DKs).

The main advantage of staying Elemental is I can use the same gear for Ele / Resto. Otherwise I'd have to grind out to sets of gear.

an Ele sham glitch. With fire nova you can extend your Flame shocks endlessly. Which means you can have as much flame shocks up as targets are near. Many flame shocks active = a lot of lava surge procs = spam Lava Burst.
