This patch is really good if you still multi-box.
I've cleared the 3 new heroics on my dk and shaman teams,as well as killed all 8 bosses in raid finder. It's pretty fun, makes me want to go 4 box firelands for the lols.
Overall I think this is one of the best patches they've released in a really long time.
I just got kicked out of a LFR :( downed the ooze boss.. and some guy noticed there were three mages with the 'same' name. Then someone said I was doing <15k dps.... when actually it was more like 25k dps, I peak around 30k
obviously the rest of the sheep just went with it and kicked me
I did all the bosses as a dps first then went on my pally to tank them. Fights aren't hard and I got luck with good groups. can not WAIT til I'm back home so I can take all my shammies in. Will do 2 seperate groups of 4 first week then all 8 the next week I think. I'm just grinding out full 378 gear sets for them 1 by 1 in the heroics to prep myself so I don't anchor the raid :P
I'm running eight of my guys at once in LFR now. I run four guys who can roll on loot and four others that roll on the same type of tokens. This is great for everyone because I know what I'm doing and do decent DPS and there is less competition for everyone rolling on the loot. I've found that if I'm eight casters, there isn't much competition for caster loot that drops.
Ran it five times in a row with this set up, rotating through four new toons that could roll on loot each time. Lots of fun and no one has ever noticed me boxing or said anything.
I like being one third of each raid I run :D
I'm really liking this patch as well. I haven't played a huge amount. I played Rift all day Sunday for some reason after not playing it since April. Only a level 25 mage.
I've killed all 8 bosses on 5 toons. Last week I multiboxed 4 toons (1 mage, 3 shaman) in Fall of Deathwing Wing and no one gave me crap about it. All 4 toons were in the top 8 dps. Now, when I play on the mage and I can concentrate on the rotation, the dps is much better. On Gunship v2, someone noticed the shamans and said, "Winning to the three shaman team", but really had 4 toons. I got zero loot with those toons on that run. Stupid RNG.
There are some pretty dumb people that queue that have a super hard time following directions. Its pretty simple. Like Zenga, I can't believe what goes on the brains of some of these people. Before I even joined the LFR are any toon, I watched videos of all the fights so I knew WTF I was supposed to do. But I do agree with linked post from the wow forums. I no longer need to schedule my life around raiding. This is the first expansion that I have not raided at all. Now. The LFR gives me that. Yes, some of the players piss me off, but atleast I can raid a little and maybe get some loot. I trialed for the current guild that I am in (they were US 15th Heroic LK). I failed, but they allowed me to stay in as a casual player.
The heroics are fun and are very doable. The only one I can't do is Echo of Baine.. Screw him. Anyone have a workable tactic? When a guy gets knocked into the lava, you have to manually run him back and by that time, he is jumping on one of the islands, so lots of damage going out. If you have a tactic, post in the End Time Heroics thread!
I haven't spent anytime trying to make money with the AH this patch. Actually spending too much for all the new enchants and gems.
I noticed for Baine that if you step off the islands right before he does his jump, he lands in the lava and doesn't destroy an island. Might be the start to a strategy for doing him.
