Crazy
Just thinking, I made the most money at the start of LK selling herbs, needed for two professions.
That 'd be very time consuming if you ask me. I personally don't find gathering professions fun. Yet alone there seems to be a lot of professional farmers competition, on my realm at least. Though what's fun for me can be not fun for you. The only times I enjoy gathering profs is the day after a wild night in the bar, when my hangover is slowly fading away. Nothing as relaxing as cruise a bit through the world and jump off your horse to pick a flower.
Depends on the server. If there are a lot of farmers, then crafting can be higher profits, due to cheaper materials to be had. If there are few farmers, you might HAVE to farm yourself if you want to be able to make certain things.
when i first read this a few months ago i immediately wanted to make 30 or 40 JCs. But after several times of reading it over, i just dont know where the profit is if you remove the assumption that all your green and blue quality gems will sell. Especialy if we jump ahead 6 or 8 months into Cata, which will be the earliest time id have enough gold to level that many JCs. Can someone please explain this to me? Is the real profit from it the chimeras eyes plus using the extras to feed your epic gem transmutes? Or would the green/blue quality gems realy ALL sell every week, thus pushing the profit margins at least close to what Shodokan is predicting here?
