Post 38, in this thread, is my daily route.
A couple posts below the request for my daily route.
Just felt for saying how i get gold, i got all professions at 450.
Before i used inscription and it gave me alot of gold, now i have a hard time selling the glyphs (i get undercutted to fast and i cba to repost all the time), one day i got 7k gold in 1 day from selling stuff at ah when i sold glyphs and other crafted things, but that doesnt happen often.
Eternal Belt Bucket sell for quite big profit (not sure exact amount but think its 2-5 times the craft cost that it sell for on my server, and it sell often, made 20 and they was gone in just a few days, cba to restack to often tho...).
Enchants sell once in a while, its not very common but they give about twice the crafting price when they are sold on my server.
Flask sell really good, both often and 40-50g / flask (alot higher than most other servers i know).
Got 6 alchemists that craft gems everyday, so just that gives 800g+ / day, i didnt think it would be able to sell all gems since we are so few on my side (i can ofc send them to horde side but havent done it yet, abit cheaper price there) but i sold every gem i crafted so far.
Also got jc with a few recipes, cba to get many recipes but those i got sell quite good so cutting some gems and sell and selling some uncut since i cant sell 7+ gems / day as cutted with so few recipes.
Transmuting Skyflare diamond also gives quite good profit, earthsiege diamond usually sell for about same as craft price tho.
Enchanting rods can also be sold for profit, used to sell them but cba to craft them.
Ofcouse i would get alot more gold if i just wanted, if i restock my items and such, but atm im at 40k gold, recently bough epic flying mount and hog for my paladins and lvled several alts engineering recently (almost all my chars got engineering, love it).
I like the way i get gold, i dont need to do a single daily or farm anything, just buy some stuff from ah once every second week or so and send it to the crafters, relog them and craft, send to seller and then loot mailbox and post auctions with 1 button press (selling once or more each day, usually 1-3 times).
Using Bulkmailbox (1 press to loot all items in mailbox) and QuickAuctions (1 press to post all items that is gonna be sold) to make it very easy, and still i get 1k or more gold each day.
There are two toons, besides myself who seem to undercut gems quite often.
I sent them both whispers, and one of them has agreed to match my price (and I'll match his) if we are the lowest priced gem sellers currently.
It doesn't hurt to talk with your competition.
And I'm really lucky this is the guy who was cooperative, as he's on much more so then the other guy.
The other guy is added to my friends list on the toon who most often leads each of my teams.
Whenever he is online, and in a zone with an auction house...
I know it's a good idea to check out shortly, to re-undercut him.
With auctioneer.. I can have it automatically undercut by 1 copper (or any other fixed amount, or by a percentage).
And I can set it to not have more then 'x' total auctions of a given item running at once.
I don't believe I can match the other guys price, if he's the lowest (which is my agreement with him) and still undercut (by 1 copper) anyone if they're the lower priced then myself or the other guy. At least not with auctioneer.
The ideal situation might be to find a buyer for uncut epic gems, take the 30g hit on not cutting them but then not have to manage anything like inventory or partake in price wars. Dailies got boring, which is why I've started the alchemy transmutes, but undercutting could be as much time but spread over more time. Something to look into anyway.
Does Auctioneer work as good as QuickAuction for posting items regulary in some way?
I use both of them, usually Auctioneer disabled tho (was a bug when both is on it can take longer time to post with QuickAuctions).
For QuickAuctions you set the price beforehand, like:
Infinite Dust
Dont post below: 1g
If noone posted: 3g
Undercut by: 1c
Post Amount: 20 / stack
Time: 12 hours
As a example (no i dont use those numbers xD), and then the addon automaticly post EVERY item with 1 button press.
I find it kinda annoying to have to drag all the items with auctioneer, then look if the price is really ok and set amount of stacks and stack size, QuickAuctions is just so much faster :)
Using auctioneer when there is some items i dont sell regulary like something i loot when i lvl a alt.
Auctioneer has a post auction feature that does the same sort of thing. Scan the AH, then go to Post and click on an item in your inventory. It shows the range of prices and allows match manual prices and put as many as you want up at one time.
does quickauction undercut both the bid and the bo or like auctioneer only the bo (which when lots of stuff are listed means your stuff may not get bought by careless people - who may buy the lowest bo showing on the first page when sorting... I know I do it sometimes when I buy stuff on a toon without auctioneer)
You can set auctioneer to undercut the bid as well, or to have the bid as a percentage of your buyout.
For the most part, it works by setting maximum percentages of the average price in which you will undercut (or overprice your auctions if you're the only one selling stuff).
You can configure it to go with your historical (overall) data, the last 3, 5, or 7 days of scans etc.
You have the option for fixed price auctions as well.
Appraiser is the part of Auctioneer which handles mass listings.
It gets you all the standard options, such as number of stacks (or all), stack size, only list 'x' stacks, duration etc.
You can hit refresh for any given item, to see each person who is listing the item.
You can hide the item from Appraiser so you don't accidently bulk list it.
You can check to add it to the items you bulk list.
There's a button for bulk listings, if you alt click it, it will refresh all of your batch post (checked) items.
If you alt + ctrl + shift click it, it lists all of your batch checked items.
Some things like rare recipes, I always sell at a fixed price.
My assorted toons purchase them for 35 silver or whatever.
And then mail them to my auction toon for the faction (or to my neutral AH transfer toon, for recipes the other faction cannot get).
And then the auction toon will list at a fixed price, with the "only list 1 of this item" checked.
Most things, I want to refresh the view to see what others are selling for, and to undercut them by 1 copper.
One of the better selling items, is alliance faction specific (unlimited quantity) vendor pets, like the kittens, rabbits and moth eggs.
They cost between 30 and 50 silver each.
And sell for 7-15 gold each on the horde side.
I make in the neighborhood of 500g a week doing this.
Interestingly enough, the horde pets sell for crap on the alliance side as there are so many people undercutting constantly; you're lucky to make a 50s profit on a pet which cost you 50s to buy.
