howdy fellow multiboxers,
I just wanted to add my 5p, ve'been boosting my 4 toons with a lvl 70 warrior, pretty well dressed, and after one day it seems to me that it's alot cheaper and about same speed if you do it in prot build. Rather then when you do it as a fury, this is due to the fact that most of our (warriors) aoe is not really an aoe. and WW is not as effective as Cleave because you cant really spam it. As I've mentioned above when you boost with warrior on a low lvl, if you dual weld it becomes really expensive, because of the way blizzard set up item durability - it doesn't matter how hard you are being hit what matters is how often it happens. So after an hour or two you end up paying 25-30g, repair costs if you are decked out in epics, as i am. But when you are prot specked you repair your shield for 15g and carry on. Plus you care less about disarm.
as a reference here is my booster http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...moon&n=Delnoch
p.s. It seems to me that THE ultimate lvl booster would be a prot pally.
I don't have a problem using my MS warrior with whirlwind and cleave, though I typically do Cathedral in 5-6 pulls. The repair costs aren't much different from raiding for a night.
I didn't bother with looting for a bit but then decided to start when I realized I needed 75 stacks of wool to do the cloth turn-ins for each character.
well, i wasn't trying to say that it's not possible to boost with MS or DW/Fury, what i did say - it feels to me that prot, in fact is a cheaper and more efficient way to go, for boosting. Repair cost are definitely reduced - hence you don't have to think about budget, just keep on going. Speed of boosting is comparable if not faster - with rage generation from block while at the same time reduced damage allows you to do bigger pulls and keep cleave + revenge (2 rage cost) spam. If you still have some rage left after that you can always toss in some devastate at 9 rage cost.
p.s. But at the lvl difference that we talk about, lvl 70 vs 20-50, all of the above is more like fod question- just as long as you know your limits. You do SM cath in 5 pulls i do in 2 - but does it matter? :whistling:
A level 70 can do well up to level 40 / SM instance grind.Quote:

But after that, it becomes less efficient since the amount of xp to grind also goes up.
So at level 40, boost questing is better than AoE instance grind, except if you have a 7o prot Paladin that can rack up lowbies with 50k+/hr
But still, that gravy train slows down by level 55, and that gap to 55 to 58 is slow going doing quests in the old world, but slower using AoE boosting.
However, I can still think of AoE boosting with 2 Prot Paladins, or 1 Prot Paladin + Mage (or Warlock Seed of Corruption)
The problem with a prot warrior is how long it takes to kill the mobs. With my main I can grind the crap out of a bunch of stuff but it takes a long time to kill everything. Mind you I haven't tried this in conjunction with multiboxing or the lower level dungeons yet it is just my opinion. I also feel that a well geared prot warrior can do anything that a prot pally can (at least with the trinket from shattered halls you can ;-) ). Has anyone had any experience using a prot warrior to level their lowbies?
After gettin my alt pali to 55 i took him to blades edge with my 70 mage. Good place to AOE farm for exp for the alt + you make good money from silver and netherweave and aldor rep items and greens
got my mages to 16 today.
SFK = shit. Stupid agro on entrance, random patrols/spawns, magic immune mobs, and low density of mobs. Don't waste your time here if youre mage or lock.
Omw to deadmines :)
I'm level 47... and have no dedicated instance runner.
What should i be doing? questing? aoe grinding regular mobs? whispering hundreds of people till i find a mage/prot pally/fury warrior/enhance shaman who can run me through brd?
I'm at a stand still because no one likes running brd, especially for people they don't know.
I tried joining 4 different guilds (1 on each alt and 1 on my main) and still no one helps.
I'd quest in your situation. I have access to a 70 mage and I'll still be questing 40+.Quote:
