6. Click back to your Character Set, and note the General tab… lets review some of the bottom Right pane…
“Launch each Character 5.0 seconds after another is ready”
You can change the checkboxes as you see fit, but for now, lets just leave them all alone. I only want you to ensure your checkbox for “Make game believe it is foreground window” is checked.

7. Now click on the “1” in the lower left pane so we can edit the Character slot 1.
(Since Riker has you using “Page Up” and “Home”, I’ll keep using those, however please note, you can change these to whatever makes better sense to you.)
You should see a “Switching” tab at the top of the bottom pane.
8. At the field “Hotkey to switch to this character”… click the “<” button and then press the “Home” key.
9. Now click on the “2” in the lower left pane so we can edit the Character slot 2.
10. Same as number 8, at the field “Hotkey to switch to this character” … click the “<” button and press the “Page Up” key.
(I used the F keys as indicted above)

*Checkpoint*
So, what we’ve done thus far is, we’ve created our characters, and created a character set for which we will use to launch our game, and hold the “map” of how we want the characters to interact with one another. We have also made it so that no matter what screen we are on, if we press “Home” the game will swap windows to tA, and if we press the “Page Up” key, the game will swap windows to tB. Note that if you are already on tB, and press the “Page Up” nothing happens… but if later you are already in game, and alter your ISBoxer file, save it, and export it… even tho the game may say “loaded tB successfully updated” or something like that, you will want to press your “Page Up” key again after that to ensure any changes made are applied at that very moment.
----> If we were to click the Character Set named “2 man Inquisitors” the game will launch one window, we enter our account info, load that game, and 5 seconds later launches the other window, we enter our account info. When both games are up, we can press “Home” for tA and the window swaps… and we can press “Page Up” for tB and the window swaps. That’s it thus far.
So… Now we need to get the FTL modifiers set up so the toons will interact with one another. But before that, we need to address a few details first. We need three Key Maps (which is a set of keys that are unique for their own purpose).
11. Right click on Key Maps and choose new key map. We need three of them, so go ahead and make all three, name them the following:
First one = “2 man Inquisitor Control”
Second one = “2 man Inquisitor tA”
Third one = “2 man Inquisitor tB”
(Note: the reason why we are descriptive with these, is because you will need to CLEARLY identify them, today, tomorrow, and many months from now or later. Its tough to try to remember what you did 8 months ago. Plus it makes other details later on, like “Whitelisting” and pointing the direction for Mapped Keys)
Think of this process as making a book. We have a title (our characters names), we have a cover (our Character Set), we need pages and paper (Controls Key Maps), and the details words on the paper (our hotkeys and mapped keys). Right now we need some Controls.
12. Click on “2 man Inquisitor Control” and right click on mapped keys. We need a minimum of (4) mapped keys. Go ahead and make them and name them the following:
First one = “Activate tA”
Second one = “Activate tB”
Third one = “All keys OFF”
Fourth one = “Mouse Repeater”
13. Click on “Activate tA” and make a new hotkey key.
14. Click on the “<” for the Hotkey, and set it to “Home”
See where this is going??

15. Now click on the “Steps” and make a new mapped key… in actions. We want to do a new key state action. For “Target”, use the pull down menu and choose “Window:All w/current”. For “Key Map”, use the pull down menu and choose “2 man Inquisitor tA”. And key state is “ON”
