Magtheridon - US - The Multiboxer Server

Hey Railz,

Frankly, I'm kinda with you. I don't take much joy in killing alliance even though with 4 teams of 5 level 80 toons I can steamroll them any time I want. So if you take out the "fun" of randomly ganking alliance, you are left with the inconvenience of alliance screwing with you. This really wasn't bad with RAF on Mag - I rerolled Mag in September and had nothing but level 1s. I leveled my first team normally (questing in different zones all the way to 80), but my other teams I leveled exclusively in the Ghostlands, SM, and Stratholme (where no allies can mess with ya) with a level 80 boosting them. Didn't have much of a problem with allies when leveling my teams past the RAF levels (60-80) either. Sure, occasionally you'll find an Asshat who wants to camp you, but with as many teams as I was leveling if that happened I'd just log off my current team and hop on another one.

I have a ton of 70s on an alliance PvP server (Stormreaver) from server open 3+ years ago and I remember ganking was MUCH worse then. For some reason on Mag it hasn't bothered me much - a combination of a shift in attitude (getting on a new team early and treating it as a minor inconvenience if it happens), leveling largely in instances, and what I perceive is less ganking in general than on Stormreaver.

And I guess it does add a bit of extra flavor when you meet a number of allies that kind of face off in front of you and you don't know if they are going to /dance and /wave or start attacking. Knowing if they are jerks I can quickly run back and wipe them with five toons makes me feel a lot better about things. One morning it was especially satisfying. I actually 10-box now and have found I can cut daily running time if I run 2 teams roughly in parrallel. One asshat attacked and killed one of my teams while they were on the harpoon shooting quest (in which you are largely defenseless). He wiped that team and was doing /sit on me repeatedly when I flew up 10 seconds later with another team of 5 and 2-shotted him. Though I get no pleasure whatsoever from ganking indiscriminantly, I *do* get some pleasure from killing asshats. And with two teams on at once I can do a very nice job of camping :)

I guess I just have way too much fun with the world pvp aspect. With my rogues I often will sap an ally and then stand away from them a bit do a /dance and unstealth one of my toons and see what happens. If he attacks me well, he dies. If not I unstealth all just to let him see how smart of a decision he made. I think there are different types of people. Some like to just have fun and don't get so serious about the whole grind to the end game. I am one of these types. I do want to get to the end game but I also want to have some fun. I don't take everything so serious.

I had some rogue screwing with me the other day by sapping me and running away. I finally got a glimpse of him, and needless to say, he stopped. :)

I love you so much. In a strictly platonic way of course. I do t he same thing quite often. Hide four outside of a town then throw a dagger and /beckon the horde to me :P I wanted to try using five of the focusing gems as well but they break stealth, still fun though. The most recent thing I've started playing with is distract. Three times this has happened in the middle of a town. You cast distract and the hordie (or alliance) will try to move so you cast it four more times. Sometimes they get so scared they AoE and then the guards kill them :(

Sorry to double post but my guild members and I often head up to the STV arena to mess around and have some fun. One 4boxing shaman 1 pally/4shaman boxer and myself. Short end of the story is after much Ambush/CloS/Sprint/Vanish on his lead shaman he was quite distraught.

Yes but when you really look at what is out there or is it their you will find that it is the only thing that can be said or done about the whole thing.

Great job last night, guys! That was a lot of fun.

After our attempt a few weeks ago on Anub and getting repeatedly wiped, I wasn't too confident, but getting four new bosses down together was great.

It would be nice to set up a weekly raid time and see what more we could do. Maybe early Saturday morning server time? Starting at like 7:30 AM or so and going until Stealthy drops from exhaustion? IMHO we should continue pushing 10-man naxx for a few weeks, then maybe try the 25-man version.

Anyway, congrats on a job well done!

If you get a regular time and bug me repeatedly I might stop playing Eve long enough to heal for you guys on my druid. He is on Mags now after all. All I need to do is log on ;)

I'll try to keep a tank and a healer out of naxx10 this week to try to 2-box with the guild. I look forward to early saturday. Also a resto druid would be a great addition to the raid.
