Hey ebony,
What happened to the text options in all the settings. The shadow text hurts my eyes and I really want to turn it off.

Are you referring to the change (bug?) to drop shadows in 7.1, or something else?

Now i know it wasn't just me seeing stuff that wasn't looking right
what it seems normal to me :S av not done any changes with front/size looks like a Blizzard problem.
thanks for all your work on Jamba, all is working fine for me :)
I thought this started pre-7.1 but yes, that's the issue I'm talking about.Quote:

Oh well. Stupid Blizzard
I set up a Jamba macro that sets the active toon as master and has the minions follow.
I want to add a similar macro that assists the master. But since Jamba doesn't have an assist command I can't figure out how to do that. I can use "/assist #master#" but that only works for whoever is master when the macro is created.
From what I've seen ISB is the only software that handles assists. I plan to start using an Autohotkey script for boxing.
I currently use ISB but I don't like paying for 3 months when I usually only use the software for one of those months and am only boxing 2 toons. Being on early retirement makes me cheap and gives me the time to come up with my own solution.
Wouldn't this be where FTL (Focusless, targetless, leaderless) comes into play?
Fair enough. I suspect, though, that you could probably set up a manual FTL system that would accomplish the same thing. I'd have to bow out of explaining how as I haven't used anything but ISBoxer in quite some time.
See this thread for some info on the general concept of that setup. I can confirm it works, though it is tedious to set up initially or with multiple/dynamic teams.
I can add ftl assit and target with jamba ftl follow. Ill try and do it this week.
iirc jamba had FTL back in the day.
well you can use a the jamba macro with /assist #master# that would fill the master name.
Edit: found more of the post. (dark theme)
not really as jamba FTL already builds macro's for follow so its just a matter adding a new macro to assist/target
and it still does kinda. just only does follow and is not used much since isboxer really took over this.
If you use something like F1-F5 to switch characters, and the macro that you call when you press those also calls "/jamba-team iammaster all" in it (on the character you are switching to), then Jamba should handle the rest once Ebony gets things modified.
Well FTL already got target/assist already coded or though it does take some time to setup i know a few that got it working fine.
as for "/jamba-assist master" is going to be a right pain trying to get it to update, it is not going to update in combat. its not going to do a lot of stuff why most use focus target/ftl from what i tested it just is not working right and is just no assisting like it should.
you could use the the marcio system but again, a lot of the problems are going to be the same when you change char, it would need to rebuild everything and if you in combat its not going to do it..
i don't know what to say, sorry
Thank you for looking into this. :)
Guess I'll use focus assist. It seems to work ok.
I'm doing some Lua coding to create a simple addon. Is there a way for my addon to access who is master in Jamba?

is the jamba API

- Added a Auto add Satchel Items (items you can open, Blizzard-Devs seems to love them!)
Added a Opt to Hide the "clear" button
Jamba Mount
I would assume that when Dismount is grayed out like this, it's not meant to be active?
Right now with the below config, slaves do dismount.
Attachment 1807
also typo. :)
great job on the team mount :)
It has resolved one of my bad habits of forgetting to turn off mouse broadcast after mounting, which for some reason I keep doing on occasion
Sorry to report issues ebony
I traveled back to Stormwind and pressed my flight mount key, some of my team mounted their ground mounts while my main its flight one, I do use different keys for ground and flight and do a straight key broadcast, no macros. pressing the flight key on the character that was on a ground mount then caused the existing charters to dismount, I had to sequentially mount each character using my mouse.
One other issue I experienced, I went to pick up a lower level character with my dual mount, when I tried to mount the lower character after a run through Blackrock, the character with the dual mount dismounted each time the lower character tried to mount, which was odd as it had worked fine previously when I journeyed to Blackrock.
issues happen and if noone reports them how can i fix them? anyway.
after you use see the loading screen the problam is jamba comms will start sending a lot of infomation locking down the comms we can olny send so many msg so many times over the comms before it started to DC you and we don't want that right? there is a lot of stuff that happens behind. 2nd is there "seems2 to be a problam with some of the newer blizzard mounts not working like they do with the older mounts ID or somthing am not really sure need to track it down i guess.
as there is no way really in the api to tell jamba that a char has dismounted the olny real way is to track aura and this would not keep track as its not sorted in the DB atm so going though loading screens would stop this working.
i think the problam with if one char mounts and then dismounts that char is not mounted and that make the master dismount so maybe try the tickbox that says olny dismount from master (make sure all chars are not the master though)
it seems to be getting a bit of a mix up, ill see if i can clean the code up a little when i get some more time i have seen a few "random" problams guess its not time to remove my alt+m key but still kinda cool when you want t adefo mount for a few hours or whatever.
My FPS with no addons enabled is 81. If I enable only Jamba and the modules it drops to 16.
Also, I have Jamba Quest Tracker enabled. The tracker shows up on one toon but not on another. "Show JoT on Master Only" is disabled.
so this is two problems? i think there was a problem reported in this post about something about problems with the 2nd. all i can say is have you tried to delete all your jamba-name stuff in the wtf and do a full reset/reinstall?
jamba can do a little on fps but i would not think that much, maybe clear the wow Cache.
While trying out the new "/jamba-team invitetag TAG" feature, i noticed it didn't specify it had to be "invitetag", so i used "/jamba-team invite TAG" which just invites all, i would recommend either editing it to allow inviting without using "tag" in "invitetag" or making it clear in the usage portion of "invitetag" that it has to be writen like that.
I just started getting this error:
Interface\AddOns\Jamba\LibActionButtonJamba-1.0-66.lua:1478: IsSpellInRange(): Invalid spell slot

hi not sure why your getting the wrong end of the stick the /jamba-team invite command is for the old invite system the invite all.
really your right and invite should be able to accept a tag and without it inv all. i did it like this as a new test/un-doced to see how well it worked.
i would like to do some work with the jamba command line system at somepoint.
This seem to be with the new 7.1 changes and libactionbutton on spells. Am sure the least test build on curse had libation updated. i just not released it yet.
Update!

/jamba-team invite <tag>
Is this command still meant to work with tags?
---Edit---
Looks like the syntax is - testing it again now.
/jamba-team invitetag <tag>
Ok, InviteTag is working in a sense. I can see it's able to find the people in the tag but it's not inviting them.
---Edit---
Thanks Ebony, Everyone you want in the group, has to have the tag. It will invite from the first character in the group based on the master list.
Example 10 box team
Add Tag Group1 to first 5 boxes in jamba
Add Tag Group2 to Last 5 boxes in jamba
From anywhere use the following macro
Highest character on the Team List with Group1 tag will start inviting the rest of Group1Code:/jamba-team invitetag Group1
/jamba-team invitetag Group2
Highest character on the Team List with Group2 tag will start inviting the rest of Group2
This in isboxer works pretty nice for adding tags dynamically.
I would suggest adding /jamba-team push to something your main driving character presses alot or add it in a step in isboxer.Code:/jamba-tag add {SLOT1} Grp1
/jamba-tag add {SLOT2} Grp1
/jamba-tag add {SLOT3} Grp1
/jamba-tag add {SLOT4} Grp1
/jamba-tag add {SLOT5} Grp1
/jamba-tag add {SLOT6} Grp2
/jamba-tag add {SLOT7} Grp2
/jamba-tag add {SLOT8} Grp2
/jamba-tag add {SLOT9} Grp2
/jamba-tag add {SLOT10} Grp2
/jamba-tag push
This means sure that the Team List is the same across all team members as it's my experience the team list will have each slave at the top of its own list otherwise.
With regards to using it.
Make 2 ATGs in isboxer (Group1 & Group2) and macros like this will work
Sets the Follow Master for the Group.
Follow the Follow MasterCode:!if (character is in "Group1")/jamba-follow setmaster {CHARACTER} Group1
!if (character is in "Group2")/jamba-follow setmaster {CHARACTER} Group2
You set up the keymap just to self. The conditonals will take care of the group it's sent to.Code:!if (character is in "Group1")/jamba-follow master Group1
!if (character is in "Group2")/jamba-follow master Group2
Needs to be a delay (around 500-800ms) between these as Jamba works through the background process of setting up the follow master. I just used a 2 step macro and double tapped it not too quickly.
A test ISboxer Profile I set up while working through all this.

Any reason Tags would just disappear by themselves?
Using the right click menu on a quest to access the command to "Jamba abandon quest", is usually impossible. The right click menu disappears within a second of showing.
Jamba-Mount does not work for characters below level 20. I have the Chauffeur mounts that work starting at level 1.
Yes isboxer clears the charlist and readds this would remove the tags as the chars are nolonger part of the group. I would trun off jamba addon in isboxer to add ream members.
Yes this mount has a widro spellid in the api and incan not get it to work there is a fix to fix some of the mounts but this changes on faction and then id are all random.
