Found some fast respawning mobs in outland Sam, although it would be stupid to grind those instead of quests, i'll still give you the info : Gor'gaz outpost - Coords 45, 74 in hellfire peninsula. Mobs are 62-63. They are all mellee mobs it seems (at least 90%)
There were 2 of us (elem shaman 61 + feral druid 63) killing them for a quest (needing 20) and the mobs were respawning on us as we were killing them.
If you're still in your EQ mindset when you reach outlands, have a go at those.
Good work thanx.
one does not declare the winner himself. Particularly when one is the only one knowing he is in a competition.Quote:

and yes, in wow you are just a big spender at the moment.
and for the Nth time, there is no "higher level mob" concept in wow.
and finally, if you compare a mass-boxer killing a boss by 'himself' with 25 toons, or a group of 5 single-boxers killing the same toon with 5 toons, which do you think is/are the more powerful?
As an individual the single person is more powerfull then the 5 as if it takes a guild to beat me, then thats my point. Clearly if it takes 5 individual single toon people to beat your 5 box set up, you are more powerfull then any single on of them.
What all end game encounters are of equal difficulty in WoW, how can that be? Surely some are harder then others.
For the bolded part...have you not raided at all? Each raid is a "level" harder than the previous.Quote:

Of course there are some high level mobs, and increasing levels of difficulty, but it's not like you can 'brute-force kill' them by bringing a large number of toons, since 99.9% of said bosses are in raid instances with player cap (25 these days) and require some sort of class setup.Quote:

The few that are not in instances are not very hard.
Hey Sam,
You may want to invest in private registration for your domain name. All of your information (including the name of your construction company) is available right now for anyone to lookup...
I've set up a super duper network, I can play 5 x WOW - but wait for it.. I can also play 46 chess games simultaneously too.. so ya I win.Quote:

Sam,
Progress report please - What level is your wow team now?
Wait a minute.....you can WIN WoW and EQ?!?!?!?!
this thread is getting out of hand, can we just let all of this go please. :S
The maximum amount of players for a raid is 40. So content is always made in such a way that 40 man can always beat it, even though it still might be difficult with such a full raid.Quote:

If you would pass by with 36 characters and master that content, then this would be a nice achievement. However, if someone does it with only 25 characters, he's definitely better than you. This is also the whole point: more characters doesn't make you the winner or better. It just gives you more powerful tools. It can still be impressive though... but we'll just wait and see about that ;)
Yeah, i should have re though my involvement in this thread -Quote:

I just thought of the perfect analogy for the whole Sam I am spending more money than anyone and not listening to anybody analogy.
Just because George Stienbrenner owns the Yankees doesn't mean he can play baseball.
Sam, stop using EQ references for WoW. Your lack of knowledge of the game is why you get flamed. By the way sam, I have officially 300 boxed now. Beat that.

Jesus this crappy one-way epeen self ego contest is still going on? crazy, id love to have that sort of money to [s]waste[/s] spend - but i wouldnt want to be you :/
Single boxers say that about multiboxers all the time...see what I did there?Quote:

This isnt about the fact that Sam is boxing 36 toons, (seen the totaly different reactions on Prepared' posts), it's about the epeen pseudo-contest Sam is trying to win.
It's funny how people here are over sensitive to saying "money" - yes the most common hate tell we get as boxers is about "waste of money" - that doesn't means sometime people aren't actually wasting money / it's always false. (and yes it's always relative).
So I guess it's ok to say Sam is making no visible progress and adding accounts before showing basic results but not ok to say that because while making no progress he's paying for X accounts that this is a waste of money... taboo subject for mboxers ? (maybe because there is a grain of truth to the hate... we are spending more on our hobby than others... is there a limit... but again I don't mind if there was a 100boxer doing cool stuff and achieving something that a solo or 5 boxer can not but the feeling is sam is throwing money at a problem that doesn't need money as a solution - just need to spend a couple weeks leveling 2 toons (or maybe up to 5 / ie 1 quest group) to learn the rope before jumping in with X...)
Heres a quote from an awesome historical figure
"Money's not wasted if you enjoyed what you spent it on" - Tasty
:)
I've re-bolded the hypocritical stab at Sam.Quote:

Reagrdless of the fact it is not the most important part of his post, it is still there, and it is still LOL.
Imo, people are too modest. I love it when a sports player or musician talks him/herself up. It's a nice change from the "well, it was a team effort, all the boys worked really hard for this result and hopefully we can have a repeat performance next week" which seems to be brainwashed into anyone who has the possibility of being interview post-match. WTB back the ol' "shit yea, I was on fire today, my opponent just couldn't keep up which allowed me to get some easy influence and really helped rip this game open." or even the ol' "g'day mum, dad, everyone back home, woohoo im on TV!!"
Fair enough but there is a difference between talking yourself up and trash talking/talking someone down.
Man I was on fire today, I totally owned that interview! I'm so pro. <--Fine :P
Man I was so much better than you at that interview, theres no way you're going to get it over me cause I'm pro <-- lol
and yes I have no idea how this fits into any of the conversation above I'm just rambling again.
Reminds me of back in high school there was a traineeship going and only four spots yet there were like 6-7 people that went for it. One of the guy applying knew one of the people who was on the board choosing the applicants and they were good friends. In the morning we were discussing it etc etc and he was like "Well I'm definitely going to get one and so its Person x, then you guys will have to fight for the last two" I kept my mouth shut and just smiled on the inside at how much of a douche the guy was. The next week came I got a call at home "congrats you got the traineeship etc etc" I was smiling and happy. The next day I went to school and the kid that was being an ass was gone. Apparently he didn't get ANY of the four spots. Also he Apparently decided to switch schools. The friend that he knew on the inside was upset that he had asked him for a reference knowing that he was going to be helping choose the applicants. I don't think that was the reason he switched schools but if I acted the way he did I probably would have moved as well. Anyways I'm done rambling just wanted to share :)
That's fine but again he has done absolutely nothing.Quote:

Using your sports analogy... this would be like say... in the NBA if someone like Brian Scalabrine telling everyone how he's going to be MVP and have averages of 30/10/10.
OR, we could switch it around and use someone saying they didn't do something but in the end did...don't see it yet? Well...
"i did not have sexual relations with that woman"
What a juicy piece that was, loved seeing that one :)
Yes, there is a difference between talking yourself up and trash talking someone else. So far all I can see is Sam talking himself up (a lot), and everyone else hating on him. This is why I'm defending him. Even though I don't like him all that much, he is only bragging, you guys are insulting him though. Tbh, if I was St. Peter, I'd let him into heaven with a warning, you guys would be shown the trap door leading down...
He's bragged about how many accounts he has, that he is going to be the best (saying "i will be the best" is a bit different to "im going to be way better than you cos you suck"), he's bragged about his site getting hits (to which you all replied his site sucks), he's bragged about upgrades to his comps to handle lag (to which you all replied waste of money lolol, lame, stfu sam), and although he has bragged that he is better than prepared at EQ, in the same sentence he has always admitted prepared is better than him at wow (and this is different to saying, "im a faster runner cos ur fat, but you are a better weightlifter than me...only cos ur fat...fatty).
2 wrongs don't make a right, I think we learnt that in Primary School sometime.
PS: lol, i love my crazy analogies ;)
i don't mind that kind of personality you describe because, well, they DID something and deserve the spotlight they got put in. Can't have that behavior every time tho.Quote:

But in Sam's case, well he hasn't achieved much in wow yet, and as was said above he's just throwing more money at a problem which doesn't require money to be fixed.
The whole "Shit yeah, i am an awesome boxer look at me i'm boxing 26/36/whatever" is just meh.
Sam is just throwing himself in the spotlight, he didnt get put in it.
I personaly am not upset because he's spending/wasting money - who cares what he does with it, but because he indeed 'wastes' it by not taking advice, or even taking a logical approach on things (hurts my cartesian self), and is not even level 20 on his toons after 2 months+. what is worth bragging about?
Reminds me of my friend who bought a Porsche and keeps it in his garage, or my uncle who bought a (very) expensive painting, and keeps it in a safe. I see it as a waste of money, even though it might not be for them.
Was that pun intended ? :-)Quote:

You have to walk before you can run:
This is a perfect example of what new boxers have to do:
New boxer with status update
Now the difference between most everyone and me is that I spends DAYS if NOT WEEKS to fix ANY problem that is going to bother me in the long run. He's just going to deal with the looting problem, I spent a long time resolving a solution and now I loot most everything. Thats why I am the slowest out of the gate but over the long run....
I'v spent 12 hours working on Lua programing to let me just copy my WTF file from my main account to the other 25, I got pitbull and dominos down but arkbags or whatever stores the bag contents so ... bleh. Sure I could spend 1 hour everytime I need to change my UI to do it by hand but thats not going to cut it over the next few years.
You just can't copy add on settings from one account to another and not load things or do something else before they work right.
2 wrongs don't make a right. It's funny cos it's true.
Why not just leave it at 1 wrong? Offer advice, if he doesn't take it, leave it.
What if you're a robot.Quote:

Sam, you probably have no idea what you will need in terms of addons and such or even UI needs, at higher levels. Spending (too) much time on those 'for the long run' is very naive i think.
As far as i remember WoW comes with a default UI that works quite well, and most people usually try and play the game with it bit, and then change what they don't like or want to improve. They don't do the changes before hand because, well, they don't know.
ow well. good luck with your grinding. I hope you can get to 60 before your RAF ends, although i doubt it.
Ok i'm out. Later all.
Hmm, you just gave me an idea for a new thread...check it :)Quote:
