OzPhoenix curious about why yeh feel brd was a waste?
I grabbed just about all the quests I can for brd and gonna run thru it about 3 times to get all the quest done

3 of my chars are going at 51 they might end up at 52 before I get all the pre requisite quests done with another one 70
1. So many of the quests were collection quests. After 3 runs I still didn't have 5 lots of all the drop materials I needed to complete the quests.Quote:

2. A number of the encounters are designed for a much higher level than the rest of the instance. In particular Command Garshak (presumably its Alliance equivalent as well), Archelmach (the guy next to the Repair bot plans), and the Thunderbrew recipe quest. If I'd been high enough to complete these, I'd have been so high that I'd have been getting bugger all XP from the trash mobs to get to them. Overall I found my XP/hr rate to be miserable inside BRD and not even close to what I was comfortably achieving in outside questing. One good quest for example, the MC attunement, can't even be done till level 55 (at which point most of the rest of the instance is worthless).
With a 70 in the group this might be different because he could presumably burn down the harder quests while the other guys are still getting good XP for it - but with an all 54 group it was a real bust.
I just started on Outland part 2 days ago and I plan on doing every single Hellfire, Zangarmarch, Terokkar and Nagrand Quest. If I havnt dinged 70 by then I intend to go hide in instances until I am.
Than way I save 3 virgin zones for the mounts
And I dont see why the gathering quests are so scary. I look at it this way. Quest may only be worth 5-10K in XP but killxp is anything from 10-30K added to that. And on top of that nice loot that is shipped of to my AH seller.
Note especially for you guys still in the old Azheroth: "Everything sells" I earned 7K from loot, mining, herbalism and skinning all though Azheroth. And I never killed any grey mobs on my journey.
Just send everything that you wont need yourself to a AH character and you will see the money rain in. Can be a bit hard for us oldtimers that remember a lot of items were worth nothing on AH. Fx. Rugged leather. Pre BC you were lucky if you sold a stack for 2g. Now 20-30g isnt oncummon. Greater Eternal Essence now sells for 20g in my server. I was lucky if I got 4 before Burning Crusade.

BTW.. i loved silithus this time.. normally i detest the zone.. i did everything there in like 2 hours cept collections.. was awesome:) and that elite spider handed over 5 GREAT daggers.... almost as much dps as the 2 handers my team was usin...
I followed this guide, it's pretty much spot on.

58 Silithus
I just turned 58 and not sure where to go from here, i really wanted to start outlands at 60.
Might work on my Onyxia key, that should probably get me to 60.
For speed you can't beat Outlands XP - even if you went thru at 58 and did nothing but grind mobs for Thrallmar reputation for 2 levels.Quote:

I'm doing much the same. Though I skipped collection quests wholesale in Azeroth, in Outlands I'm doing every last quest there is. Like you, I plan on having at least 3 zones completely untouched before hitting 70 - probably Blade Edge Mountains, Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.Quote:

Update on my progress. (Been VERY leisurely about leveling lately.) ;)
I hit Hinterlands at 46 and was maybe 20% in. Hinterlands kill quests only + (I did do the chain starting with Venom Bottles) netted me pretty much two full levels. My foursome (I'm boosting) has about 70% of 48 left.
I can not give Hinterlands enough kudos. As previously stated in this thread, the quests in this zone are nearly ALL kill quests. If you have a booster its gravy as you can do the five or so quests in the troll city in about 45 minutes.
Although I'm ahead of the sequence summarized in this thread, I am going to his Searing Gorge and just do the easy quests. On then to Felwood and from there, I imagine, the Plaguelands gauntlet.
After boosting in SM to 40, I can say that so far for me the WORST part of leveling was 40 to 45. Ended up grinding it boosting in ZF.
Anyone who's NOT RAF'ing that can speak to how far I'll get from 66% left in 48 following the list below just doing kill quests? Will I make 58? (Itching to get to Outlands)

Silithus
WE Plaguelands and Dustwallow were the places I took the most amazing XP. Dustwallow I took 3 levels in like 2 hours. Quests there are damn fast and gives 11-16k XP with the RAF.
