I was wondering. Does manually moving the second character pop it out of that desync lag?
I'm gonna try just adding maybe a quick forward tap on my /follow.
i tried setting up a secondary movement keys to my alt to get him back into sync.
Sometimes it would not work until i manually took control of the screen and mouse moved or hard-pressed a movement key.
I even ran into a situation where my alt was running in place and stopped, when i tried to manually move him it would not take any direct inputs, but when i press my follow key on my main machine he came back in-sync and then the character would accept inputs again after that.
Issues are more or less annoying, but i switched from a single box 2 account setup to a 2 box 1 account on each setup. It is more easily controlled and monitored when your using multiple machine+monitor setup, when i see the toon running place i immediately try to get it back in sync. I usually end up auto-running forward and just mouse steering them individually. A pain, but effective at this point.
This is definitely a problem. Very frustrating. I'll bug it on all of my characters today.
I made a quick hotkey.
Bound T to forward.
Sends T to all other clients.
Sends Follow to all other clients.
When my dude gets stuck I'll tap T and hopefully that will break the desync. If that doesn't work I'll add it to my follow spam.
I made this a two step.. its works.. its a tad annoying, but it gets the job done and makes it easier to deal with. I keep an eye on the alt, when it stops following.. i just double tap my follow key.. it sends "up" and then follow. 8) its not what we want.. but it makes dual boxing tolerable!
I'm having serious problems getting ISboxer to work period with a single box.
I can't run on two different monitors that are different sizes because I can't press play on the smaller monitor. Clicking on it shifts it to the primary monitor and doesn't render the GUI. In other words no play button. My new 23 inch 120 Hz arrives today at some point so that might fix this problem.
If I run fullscreen stacked, one client randomly closes in quest dialogue if I try to use key repeating to answer the same way on both clients. Mouse broadcasting isn't working across windows with any setup.
I didn't have any luck running multiple clients on one box, so I've spread mine between a laptop and my main box with a cable going to my alt monitor and using isboxer's network mode and synergy for mouse overs between the two systems.
