Since you are looking at half of that cloth being valued at 250 or so per... that is a lot of money (~28000g if it all sells which is unlikely). Even if i were to sell it all in bulk to a 3rd party for say 200g per to guarantee the market doesn't tank the money would be great. Good thing about the alchemy part is that all gems are 180g or higher, 200-225 for cuts.
Also i've come to the conclusion (from watching trade for the past 2 hours) that spellweave and crusader orbs are in high demand for the creation of bejeweled/merlin items. These sell on the AH for an extra 1-2k over their value (i watched two robes sell one @ 5k and one @ 6k over a 3 hour period as well as 3 sets of bracers go for 3.5k) So making these items with cloth/gems will increase profit margin. Crusader orbs went for a consistent 200 gold each so the value of per hour heroic farming is much greater than TOC farming, ESPECIALLY on the server i will be playing on.
Assuming you do 1 hour of heroics per day you can get about 1800g worth of materials not including any greys/greens/frozen orbs/coin.

My roomate wants to play wow, as does his girlfriend. They want to play alliance and i know both of them IRL so i will be rolling alliance as well. The thing about this is that i won't be getting power leveled and will be doing everything 100% from scratch no help at all.
Roomate is making: paladin/priest/shaman
Girlfriend is making: mage/hunter/druid
So i'm going to RAF my roomate and he's going to RAF her. So my account E will get an extra character, also because of this i'll be leveling all teams from lvl 1 from scratch... so.... more characters for professions >_>
So your not boosting all your other characters? Or are you doing that along with your roommate and girlfriends characters?
Hmmm, interesting. I found it odd that on Kil'Jaeden Titansteel bars sold for less than spellweave does. When I thought about it, it made sense. There are more toons that use cloth as armor than leather or plate. Specializing in Tailoring for economic leadership is probably a good move and well as Alchemy for its transmutes. I have considered JC/Alchemy for all my toons at one time. I didn't do enough research to confirm that is was a sure money maker. The programmer in me wants to write scripts that use RL economic models to evaluate trends in WoW AH economics. But then, I don't have time for that... work work work....

What are you going to do with all this money youre going to make? Realistically, once you get to 80 and gear up (the majority of which takes drops, not purchased items)... sure you need some cash for gemming and enchanting, but once you do that... money is pretty worthless. You can pounce on new vanity items when they come out, or when blizz releases something like the battered hilt youll be well in place to scoop them up even at outrageous prices in order to get yours first... but realistically, once you hit 80 and are at end game for a while theres really nothing to use money for...
Do you just enjoy seeing that gold # tick higher? Thats perfectly fine if you do, just curious if you have some other motive.
I'm a fan of vanity in the game. Traveler's tundra mounts etc etc. I'm also an avid single character PVPer and do everything i can for dedicated partners (pay for enchants, gems etc). I love helping friends too...people who don't have as much time as i do to play but could have more fun with the game with things such as epic flying etc.Quote:
