My fifth account is missing a hunter. I have three priests on it that I transferred from old accounts.
I had a hunter team in wotlk so I know they can be fun.
You're making me wish I had five hunters again!

Well, tbh you cant do much running 5 hunters @ lvl 85. Go for 4 hunters and bring a healer friend! With 4 hunters + a healer you can do heroics, random BGs (10-15 man BGs alot easier). With 5 you get pwnded if you let melee come close to your group, and forget about heroics at this stage. But all in all, its great fun :) havent had this much fun since I played 4 x ele shamans back in WOTLK with full wrathfull gear!

New screenie from doing the random BG today! Was pretty fun,
Been working on arena strats this week, found some good methods for getting that first kill. On every map I start stealthed, putting down flare + 4 x explosive traps + 4 x snake traps. If I do this, the opposing team wont see me and gladius wont pick me up om the radar. My healer will go offensive, running around right outside the door from where Im standing. This can make the team think my healer joined the fight alone, thus making him an easy win, but truth be told, im lurking in the shadows :P once their melee dps engages him, I send in pets and start nuking him. Even with 2 healers they cant outheal it, but if they are able to CC 1 or more hunters I lose! So basicly I gotta be lucky on critts for the first kill, but usualy I get it my way :) after that its just tank'n'spank really. Popping deterrence, dropping a new fresh set of traps, disengage and continue killing. After the first kill my pets run around wild killing everything that hits its owner, making the opposing healer(s) job(s) a pain in the ass. Now, my favourite map is Blade's Edge map, easiest map to get a win @. I start stealthed, traps and flare up, my healer run to the bridge, waiting for them to attack first, when they engage he jumps down, making them follow him. Then he runs under the bridge making the other teams dps LOS their healer, and even with 2-3 sec without healing its almost a guaranted kill for me. Currently sitting @ 2 k resilience without the pvp trinket, BM specced and reforged to mastery :) gearing continues, and should get the 2H next wednesday! Started on a BG / arena movie to spice things up, stay tuned ppl :D
Looking forward to the video!
So how are you doing in arena's. Curious if you were able to break through and get some good wins.
Ive had almost zero game time recently due to exams and work. Wow is kinda on the shelf atm, but after my last exam in mid june ill be back :)
Ive gotten a few mails about my hunter setup, specs, pets, tacs for arena, gear choices and so on.
So Im gonna update on my hunter thread tomorrow, ill include gear choices, speccs, arena tacs, pet choices and positioning :)
Sweet!
<interested :D
also highly interested.
Comp:
This composition consists of playing 4-5 hunters.
Specs:
We have 3 different to chose from as a hunter.
- Beast Mastery
This is how I specc my main.

This is my specc for my alt hunters, The reason why I spec BM is the simple reason of insane burst while in BW, and crazy pet dmg. Pre s9 my pets were critting for 15-20 k on full PvP geared toons. And exotic pets can buff your team pretty good compared to "normal" pets.

- Pets
For a PvP group I`d go with:
Hunter 1 - Devilsaur for 5 % critt, 10 % reduced healing debuff on target
Hunter 2 - Corehound for reduced casting time on target (and Bloodlust7Heroism for PvE)
Hunter 3 - Silithid for stamina buff and web ability (same as a priest buff)
Hunter 4 - Shale Spider for kings (same as a paladin buff)
Hunter 5 - Bear for reduced physical dmg taken (if you run with 5 hunters)
- Marksmanship
I havent gotten too deep in the MM tree, but have tried it a few times. The spec does have some potential in arena. You can round robin scatter shot and silence to lock down 1 healer.
Specc for your main.

DPS rotation:
- Beast Mastery
Main DPS shot for a BM hunter is Arcane Shot and Kill Command. Its important as a BM hunter to allways keep Kill Command on CD, use it everytime the CD is off.
1.
/cast Hunter's Mark
/petfollow [target=pettarget,exists]
/cast Mend Pet
/petattack [target=pettarget,noexists]
2.
Kill`O`Button
#showtooltip Bestial Wrath
/cast Call of the Wild
/cast Rabid
/cast Rapid Fire
/cast Blood Fury
/cast Bestial Wrath
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
/use 13
/
use 14
3. Spam Arcane Shot/Kill Shot
If you run out of focus use this to regen focus. This will shoot Cobra Shot, and use Kill Command everytime its off CD.
#showtooltip Cobra Shot
/assist focus
/castsequence reset=6 Cobra Shot, Cobra Shot, Cobra Shot, Cobra Shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
If you are locked down, use this on all hunters. These abilities can hit pretty hard when 4-5 hunters are hitting you.
/assist focus
/cast Raptor Strike
/cast Wing Clip
Disengage macro:
I have this macro on my main hunter
/cast Ice Trap
/cast Disengage
On my other hunters I use this:
/cast Explosive Trap
/cast Disengage
- Marksmanship
For Marksmanship I use the same macros as in Beast Mastery spec, except my Kill`O`Button.
This uses Aimed Shot as your primary attack, with Chimera Shot closely followed.
When it comes to rotation Id start with sending pets in, pop trinkets/CDs, shoot Chimera Shot first then spam Arcane Shot. If you run out of focus, use this:
#showtooltip Steady Shot
/assist focus
/castsequence reset=6 Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] Kill Command
Disengage macro:
I have this macro on my main hunter
/cast Ice Trap
/cast Disengage
On my other hunters I use this:
/cast Explosive Trap
/cast Disengage
If you are locked down, use this on all hunters. These abilities can hit pretty hard when 4-5 hunters are hitting you.
/assist focus
/cast Raptor Strike
/cast Wing Clip

Gear PvP:
- Gemming
Agility ftw! No matter what specc you are in!
- Enchanting
As a BM hunter you can mix it up. But a pure mastery build combined with mastery use trinkets would give you insane pet critts. I havent tried this one yet, but am going to try it the next two weeks. Will let you know how it went.
Strats:
- Healers
As any multiboxing comp you need a solid healer such as a priest or holy paladin. Mix it up to suit your playstyle.
- Arena
The idea of multiboxing hunters in arena is to suprise the opposing team.
Start in stealth, dont move at all, and make sure your healer is not LOSing you, or is too far away. Let them come to your healer before you use my 3 step kill recipe. Its the basic start on every map, except Dalaran Sewers. Here you cant start stealthed, would be washed out and the opposing team would know what to do (most of the times)
- BG
In BGs its crucial that you team up with a healer, especially the smaller BGs. Hunters dont have healing abilities, so a healer is a must here!
- RBG
I havent tried RBG yet on my hunters. Will be doing that in the upcoming weeks.
Id run with 4 hunters as an attack team with a personal resto druid.
Get 1 war, 1 DK, 1 mage, 1 holy pala and 1 disc priest/resto shaman to guard towers and call out incs while your team assists whoever needs some Horde/Alliance bastards killed.
If I`ve missed out on anything crucial, please let me know. And im not a grammar god, so trolls keep out!

Arena Update!
First week of arena, I havent done any farming of s9 gear at all. And just went 6 - 0 with a resto druid in full Bloodthirsty.
I did a few matches with a rogue, and some matches with 5 hunters.
So total stat for this week is 11 - 6 :) Pretty happy about it, considering Im not even close to s9 gear at all.
Thanks for the tips...... I have a team I'm bringing up that is just crushing instances that are at lvl. Hunters are fun to play.
Great idea on having 1 hunter speced into entrapment and the rest into increased pet damage, this will be the first time I've speced differently on my toons since you could go half enhancement half ele for the freeze :D, and yes I'm definitely going to have to try gearing my hunters a bit now to try your setup, atm they're just sitting at 85 with all questing gear and pvp shoulders from the honor i got while lvling lol
TY :):)
Edit: You should put your setup on the first page of this thread so ppl see it right away.
I'm still waiting to ser what the celling is for this group in arenas.
Is this team boxing 5 hunters?
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/arena/ko...gainst%20five/
Looks like it... same guild... almost no other 85 in guild. Probably a M-B guild i say.
