Do you get wireless in the cockpit?
"Ted: Ummm Bill, we need to change our heading to get around this incoming storm."
[2 minutes later]
"Ted: Bill? Did you hear what I said?"
"Bill: In a minute dammit, the raid is almost over!"

Law Enforcement, Corrections specifically.
Long hours, moderate pay, great benefits. Great time off work rotating 12 hrs shifts, works out to working only 2 weeks a month.
Just finished my MBA some 14 days ago.
Before that I was working as a manager, making computer games.
Been doing that since 1996, so yes I'll probably go back to that again. :)
Like many, military, and in the IT field... Gonna try to get out soon and land a contract IT job somewhere. Maybe Hawaii...
IT and I need a job, my contract ends in 3 weeks with nothing on the horizon >.< Oh to be out of work before Christmas. So if any of you are in need of the best SQL Developer to ever hit the planet gimme a yell :)
location: Sydney, Australia - yes we have computers and electricity

Stay at home mom of 3..
I also have my own candle - bath & body business.
Before that i was a Restaurant General Manager(at the age of 22). But was working 80+ hours a week. So I quit that job to become a school bus driver part time... That job turned out to be another 80+ hours a week. Worked 4 months at Auto Zone. Decided I didn't want to teach men about vehicles anymore.. Started my own business.
I work for brazil´s central bank (government bank - regulates the financial market) as an accounting analyst (amazing pay check for our standards), this job also offers great benefits (life time job stability, health insurance, 35 hours a week). The downside is that i lost 3 years of my life studying to the selections for this job.. the competition is huge.. tests happen from 4 to 4 years, and there were like 100 vacancies to 30k candidates.. thank god i got succesfull and now i can multibox peacefully (until my wife get´s home, them everything is over...).. next years i´ll probably move to England to start a master´s degree in london university (and finally be able to play wow at 30ms latency.... try to multibox with 250ms lol).
Not that it's my business, but you triggered my curiosity ... 80 hours a week as a school bus driver :O
Sounds like day and night school to me ... pick the kids up in the morning, deliver them at school, maybe clean the bus (kids after all), pick them up at school, deliver them at home ... thats what i expect how a typical school bus drivers day looks like.
I'm in the mortgage business -- currently writing 2nd loans for Wells Fargo. Prior to that I was with Countrywide and Wachovia for the last 3 years.
OMG hope Wells doesnt go under like the previous two =)

Eh, you were lucky to have a school!
I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.
(And you try and tell the young people of today that ..... they won't believe you!)
