Hm. yeah I see how there could be a problem with the pvp vendors on unbalanced realms.
As for the dallies, they're an excellent way to make gold and a lot of world pvp for me, so I continue to do them. I actually don't buy much of the gear because I don't have the valor points for it all. Yeah there are ways to make more gold, and other places to world pvp but overall I'm enjoying having a lot of choices for daily quests. There are always going to be people out there doing them to min/max and get all the gear they can, and for their alts.. and especially since they keep adding new hubs. Wasn't really the case in the last two expansions. People were out there for a few weeks, then the gear became obsolete and a lot of the helm/shoulder enchsnts became BoA.
It's not a perfect system, but not really sure how else they could accomplish this at max level when you no longer need experience. The devs didn't seem to have an better ideas nor have I seen any good suggestions on the forums. People always complain about more grinding and gating and then when they remove that (which they have multiple times) people complain that they're bored and there's nothing to do but sit in town. They have to find some balance between having there be things to do that give rewards, and enough to grind to make the game goal oriented, and not making it too much of a grind and not friendly to alts.
The PVP objectives in zones are Ok and they've been doing that since vanilla but they have they have so little reward and purpose that if you don't have another reason to be in that zone, you aren't going to go there just for those objectives unless you're really bored... like the ones in hellfire
