@scottig
full screen windowed.. ok.. try this... (screen res: 1280 x 720 )
main: x,y( 0,0 ) w,h( 1280,720 )
cloneA: x,y( 0,0 ) w,h( 320,180 )
cloneB: x,y( 0,180 ) w,h( 320,180 )
cloneC: x,y( 0,360 ) w,h( 320,180 )
they might be small... but they will be hidden by the larger region, so it won't matter
also, making it small reduces cpu/gpu load
let me know how it goes...

Copy your wow folder, and call it World of Warcraft1 or something like that, and make another shortcut, set it up for full screen, and use that one when u want to play fullscreen :)
Its what i did, i got 1 copy for Multiboxing, and 1 copy for when i raid with my priest.

same as before everything looks extra fat :( maybe ill try making the clones tall and skinny windows
-
tryed this. same results
main: x,y( 0,0 ) w,h( 1280,720 )
cloneA: x,y( 0,0 ) w,h( 320,360)
cloneB: x,y( 0,360 ) w,h( 320,360 )
cloneC: x,y( 960,0 ) w,h( 320,360 )

I had an issue with PiP when I called my big region main. Renaming it to Big fixed the problem. I figured that Main was reserved for the whole window somehow.

I was messing around with this last night and found a couple interesting things that might be worth checking out.
When swapping between my big region and a smaller one if the aspect ratio was higher then 1.333333 and your smaller window was less then about 960x600 then you got the "fat swap" for lack of a better term. Fat swap is what scottig is talking about.
However the problem doesnt occur if you keep the aspect ratio at 1.33333

The speed of the swap isnt the problem. Its almost instant when I switch from my main toon to one of the clones. The problem is when I make the switch to one of the clones the Players look all stretched out and fat and the UI looks all funny too. The mini-map looks like a big oval. But when I switch back to the main char all is well. But it doesnt make sense, because the main was just occupying the region the alt char came from, but he doesn't look all stretched out?!?!

after doing a bit of googling, i believe it has something to do with the resolution you are working with. there are posts about wow and aspect ratio back a year or more where the screens looked squashed or stretched.
this doesn't help explain why it would work for one of your screens, but not the small ones.
for grins, try making 2 regions exactly the same size/position... full screen. then try PiP swap between. start them one at a time.. log all the way in... make sure the aspect ratio is good... then start the next one. then try PiP swap and see if the aspect ratio changes (it shouldn't)
and since you want to keep the clones in the back ground, you could set your maxfpsbk to something very low (ie: 5) then when you PiP swap, it'll have the proper aspect ratio (hopefully) and its fps would start to come up to maxfps (ie: 50)
let me know if that works

I did what you said made 2 regions at 1280x720. I could switch between the 2 no problem. It didnt seem as smooth as before. And one time it stopped swtiching and just stayed on the clone, and wouldnt switch back to the main char? So I added the 3rd clone in the 3rd region at 640,360, and when I try to switch to him. It would still look all fat and stretched. The 2 full screen regions were fine though. Maybe its a setting on my video card. I have no clue.

I have another monitor. An old 17" pos. I'll try and see if I can get it to work on it. Res is 1280x1024 what size should i make the clones?
