Secret knowledge of 1k rating is pick a target. Kill it. Pick another target, kill it. If you can't kill said target, try a different target. Also, get more gear that doesnt require ratings.

Ok all funniness aside, you do understand the reasoning behind making an "arena forum"? If you don't it's to keep out the NON-boxers that might read this message board to figure out a way to beat a certain comp, like 4 ret 1 dk. I perfectly understand the reasoning and the only way you are going to get access to this forum is get 1k on your team. Seems fair enough.
As for how to get 1k rating you can discuss that in the PvP forum =P
this ^^
People can cry all they want. I really thought we were past the QQ, which was the point I had when I started talking about it about 2/3 weeks before I opened the forum, and I was talking to the people that were coming to me asking about it, even before that.

If you dont understand how stupid this sounds then I dont know where to find you help. I am personally going to troll the hell out of scrubs who would think this secret forum is going to help them anymore than with out it.
Its funny, Arena junkies doesnt have a secret forum, it doesnt matter. If you're bad then you're bad.
I am not QQing, I personally couldnt give two shits. What I was trying to say is this new forums is where some info that might be valuable to a would be possible arena player or a person who muit boxes and comes to these boards but doesnt post for whatever reason. The pvp forums in general have not had any many posts in general since the launch of this feature.
Seriously? You ARE QQing. Provisions have been made for just about anyone who wants access. I really can't do much more than what I've already done. I told people, I told YOU DIRECTLY that if you didn't want your info public, to PM me and we'd discuss you gaining access, but you'd still have to prove you need access. Please stop trolling and stop QQing, consider this a warning.
Topic gone right over your head. Why are you taking about me?
Speak about new comers to the site. I am speaking at the loss of the general pvp forums. I guess I am the only one who can see it, well give it a month and it will prove my point.
meh whatever.
I wonder before this new forum was made how many people would have even gotten to 1k or even tried arena had it not been for the accessible information that was on this site. I came here after seeing one of ellays videos 2 years ago and wanted to try for myself and really had no clue about it. If ellay didnt post his strats/keybinds/teaching videos etc. at the time I think I would have never tried it. You say if I have no clue ask in general pvp forum, but then this new forum is about hiding tactics away from would be opposition. Had ellay posted that you needed to reach a certain rating before he shared any secrets, I think we would have seen far less people boxing arenas and boxing strictly pvp in general.
Example: I wonder how many people would be boxing 4 ret 1 dk had Kromtor not posted about his success. Shit half those people who before were pvping shamans would not have even gained access to this new forum if it wasnt for 4ret 1 dk.
I see the general pvp forums becoming like the waiting room on AJ, if you dont have glad you can ask questions and a gladiator can answer but you cant post on other forums unless you meet the rating requirement. In their case though you can still read them, unlike here. In which case it the general pvp forum will become a ghost town.
If the response is fat tire you're an idiot thats fine. However, for example some brand player who just started 4 ret dk after reading about it and is real excited. Starts to ask questions about play-style,tactics etc. in the general pvp forum is the rated arena member crowd gonna answer him? If yes, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the arena forum?
dble post :(
So your saying that the PvP forums are suffering a lack of information because you think the information that was on the PvP forums is now in the Arena Section? I can kinda see what you mean, but I don't think you are correct. The entire TWO threads in the Arena forum are pretty specific to higher ranked matches. Sure it would probably help sub 1k rating people, but clearly the author didn't want to share the info with every tom, dick, and harry. Don't blame anyone other than the post authors of that section, they all have red names, very easy to find. They're the ones who are being selective of the information. Frankly I don't blame them. The people that came to me originally wanting this setup were sick and tired of everyone in the PvP section that had ZERO Arena experience coming in and giving their worthless 2 cents when they had NO CLUE what they were talking about.
The idea of the forum was to keep out the window lookers and to reel in the hardcore arena boxers to share their high rated competitive knowledge without letting it flap in the breeze. I don't care if you agree with it or not. The section is serving a purpose that the core Arena boxers came to me wanting. Maybe it will hurt the PvP forum, maybe it won't. If it *does* then that tells me most of the PvP forum content was actually Arena content and should be in a place specific to Arena. Are we wrong for asking people who want to discuss high rating Arena subjects to ..ACTUALLY HAVE HIGH ARENA RATINGS?!?!! I don't think we are.
You don't have to like it, just please if you really do mean you don't care when you say "I don't care" stop posting about this. I'm sick of explaining it over and over and over again.
Honestly, I don't think anything will change. People that have been helpful and open about posting strats will continue to be so. I still see lots of questions being asked and answered in the general pvp forum....definitely no signs of a slow down in activity there.
For people new to pvp boxing - I'm sure if they post intelligent questions, even just asking for advice or to be pointed in the right direction - they will be answered. Posts asking to be spoonfed strats will most likely be (and should be IMO) ignored. Heck, it's even easier now to see who the rated arena players are thanks to their red tags - if say you wanted to armory stalk them for specs / glyphs. :)
For those who were reluctant to post strats becuase of fears of exposing weaknesses / counters etc now have a place where they can post. Bear in mind, that these poeple would have never posted in the general pvp forum anyway, so there is nothing 'lost' with having a restricted forum in this sense, only gain.
Cheers,
S.
