Oh, I thought i mentioned it already, but they are not neutral races. Horde get goblins and Alliance get the Worgen.
They're not classes you know :P

Hehe, Horde gets goblins because they were always jealous of the mighty gnomes. Gnomes and goblins being on opposite sides is already the case in engineering.Quote:

Alliance gets worgen because the alliance doesn't have enough hair and too small teeth compared to the horde. =]
Worgen as playable race - for whomever - could be one of the reasons why the worgen pets were a no-no.
The thing about the expansions list was that it was posted on Allakhazam back in late 2007 (or 2006? It was a few months prior to tBC I think), and they got the Northrend zones correct 100%. They had most of the Outland stuff correct, but by the time of the post the information was probably already out there. So there's reason to think that the document was legit. However, the person who posted it said it was from 2002 or 2003 (ie, during development of WoW) and after seven or eight years there are going to be changes.Quote:

It doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but I would expect to see worgen in the next expansion. I would hope they were horde-side, as they seem like a cool race to play, but for all I know I'll be done with WoW by then. :p
This was actually predicted if you read the posts. Blizzard apparently has included 'extra' distracting information. If horde gets stuck with Goblins, we better get Gadget and BBay then as Horde town since they are run by Goblins... That would make having to put up with the annoying things worth while as opposed to a race that would go along side the Tauren perfectly... Ya know like how Dwarves have the little Gnome pets erm, group members. Taurens would get worgen pe..arrty members :)
All of this was 100% speculation based off of mask textures in any case so I never really expected it to happen.. Does anyone honestly think Blizzard is going to give us a new race in an intermittent patch update instead of an expansion? hehe
If it does turn out that Goblins and Worgen are the new races, I'd expect to see new home cities for each of them. We've already got shared capitals for 2 races on each side (Orcs/Trolls in Org and Dwarves/Gnomes in IF), so trying to shoehorn another one in somewhere would muddle things up. Blood Elves and Draenei got their own home cities in BC, so I don't see any reason for this not to happen again.Quote:

Ive always wondered why the horde don't have Ogres yet.
Woot, six new races!!! :D
Given the upcoming paid ability to change your toons faction, I wouldn't be surprised if they added some neutral races that can choose a side or just stay neutral. Heck, maybe it will be a paid ability to change to a new race. That wouldn't surprise me either.
In the end, it's probably just some new instance with "masked" combat :P
Or, maybe, it's just 12 more masks to collect and no new race :-)
not sure how they would do nagas as a playable race, would lack a 'boots' armor slot, hehe
Well, the reason i chimed in with my info is because i've been sitting on it for 7 months, since someone told me back in january that goblins and worgen were coming. This person happens to work at blizzard and thats the extent of the information im giving out about who they are.. Though having said that, my info is 7 months old and of course could have changed since I was told.
With the discovery of the masks, I decided to back up the speculations of the races.. Goblins for horde make sense since you you'll be able to have midget fights vs Gnomes, and who doesnt want to see that; and Worgen because I think alliance need a beefier class to compare with the Tauren.
It seems to me its just continued normalisation of factions along with races/classes that we've seen already.
3rd faction with Naga, Murlocs, Worgen, Vyrkul and Ogres, with Goblins playable by all ? Almost guaranteed to never happen, but it would be awesome :)
