4h doesn't seem like it'd be too hard even the "normal" way.
2 shaman in the back, one in each corner, just spamming lhw on themselves to stay alive.
DK+3 shaman in each of the front 2 corners.
Front shaman off follow, when the 3rd mark lands the 2 dk's run over and taunt off each other, dragging the new npc back to their corner.
After the swap, switch sides on the 2 shaman in the back.
What boss are you currently stuck on? Did you get Grobbulus down?

Quality suxxors and they're sped up a bit since it was an 8 minute fight. I had to break it into 2 vids since I had to reincarnate a shaman after i had 2 get one shot by a holy wrath on the last pass when smoke and I got a little too confident and passed right next to each other (10 chains of holy wrath mean #8,9 and 10 HURT). We easily could have just straight nuked Thane outright, but it would have made things a lot harder with Rivendare and the back. I mean, in the vid, I took thane from like 90% to 40% in 3 marks including movement time - and having some craptacular positioning trying to get Zeliek nuking my dk not my shaman.
Grobbulus was pretty much a demoralizer for Smoke yesterday. I'm thinking we may go back tonight and try again, or may just skip him and at least get Gluth. We tried the heal through the explosions, which didn't work well, since it just makes high movement. It's hard for whoever is tanking him to move their shaman out, becuase when we do that we get threat issues. We tried where I'd just use my dk to mitigate some magic damage and use my range on the boss while smoke tanked grobb and the slimes and I'd move my shaman out and cleanse and run back (becuase I'm used to the fight, he's not), but then slimes would pull off and own us. I think it's we're just going to need a little more practice on him tonight to find the best mix of strategies. We did get him to 60% in less than a minute at one point, and then he chain injected my dk which led to all our shamans sitting in a cloud and dying since they were set to follow me to stay in range of grobbulus. It feels like they buffed him back up again too if anyone hasn't tried him this week. Injections were hitting for 10k again, and the clouds were growing at the same rate. :(
Patchwerk and Noth were vidded as well. I forgot to do Loatheb, becuase we, well, one shot him and I was expecting at least some learning curve on him, but he's a JOKE with 8 chain heals.
Basically for Four Horse, I parked my shaman where Blambeaux drops, Smoke parked his where Zeliek drops. We each ran up and icy touched Riverdare/Thane respectively. We then tanked Rivendare with Blam, and Thane with Zeliek. Waited for a meteor and 3rd mark, called a swap and death gripped the correct melee off. Rivendare/Blambeaux side just went for survival and minor damage on the horsemen while the side with Thane went for DPS. When Thane was down we then hit Rivendare hard and then it's just cleanup.
Probably THE MOST fun fight ever with 2 boxers. Gothik was a close 2nd.
Thats exactly how we did it except we just tanked two of them in the back and just switched off. Plain nuking was not an option.
We are currently stuck on Grobbulus. Doesn't look good at the moment because of my setup and my lack of experience in raids and dealing with bosses like this. We may try again tonight after alittle bit of tweaking on my setup but maybe not.
Hopefully we can do it cuz tonight may be our only shot before i go back to working my hectic schedule. In any case I'm pretty happy with how far we got :) considering I really have no raid experience and Shaggir (The Brain) had to explain all the fights and come up with some crazy strategies. I mean "come on" on Heigan I put all my 4 shamans to follow Shaggir and we ended up killing the freaken guy and Shaggir kept all of the guys alive and got me the "The Safety Dance" achievment :thumbsup: . How many people out there are actually able to do something like this??? lol
Finally Grobbulus is a @#$%! and should go jump off a bridge with the guy who designed him.

I will be very much interested in learning how you will kill Thaddius, since you will probably need the buffs from the positive/negative charges to kill him.
unless they do less then 1500 or so dps per dps spot (which I doubt) they won't need to do the charges. :PQuote:

How can you box thaddius? the groups ive done him with both 10 and 25man have all stayed real close to him, and just swapped sides depending on charges etc. which would be too hard to do with 4/5 guys quick enough
Is there a way I could take my dk tank and 4 shaman in and do it half effectivly, or would I just have to take the 4 eles in. Was thinking maybe I could leave a shaman on the corner of each of the platforms you jump down from and reach him, but im not sure if you can stay on those platforms or what the deal is.
Smoke and I aren't going to be progressing in Naxx anytime soon (he had to go back to work and works insane hours so it's pretty much a no go) but Thaddius is easymode to box.Quote:

On 10 man, as Kaynin said, don't even worry about charges. Tip: He has LESS hp than Patchwerk, but the same enrage timer. If you can kill Patchwerk, then you can kill Thaddius in 10 man without having to stack charges.
On 25 man, most hunters don't stack, and as long as your healers are stacking he's not too terribad. I'd suggest just stacking your dk and leave your other 3 spread out. Thaddius is kind of a trick on 25 (As he was on 40). The encounter encourages stacking, which then also encourages more raid damage (since you're stacked and his Chain Lightning will chain through a bunch of people). In 40 man, we'd have a majority of healers (resto shams/holy priests) dps and use druids/paladins to heal - the strategy works well regardless. In a 25 man setting you only need 5.5k dps (with the stacked charges) per 15 dps to beat the enrage. I can hit 5k per shaman on a patchwerk/instructor fight in a 25 man setting, ez. - which is essentially what you're turning Thaddius into for your the shaman who are not stacking. If you're pulling less than 4k, then it'll be a pain for the rest of your raid to pick up the slack. 4.5k should be pretty easy for you tho with 25 man buffs/consumables.

As long as everyone is spread out, not close to anyone else. Then yes. Plenty of room for it on 10 man.
