Leveling Your Defense Skill

Imo, the best place to do this as well as level your weapon skill is in the blasted lands. There are mobs which cannot die unless you destroy a nearby crystal or some such as part of a quest chain. They changed this; you can no longer gain weapon skill from those mobs in Blasted lands.

I know there are many ways to level up defense, this method has been the fastest and easiest for me since it's easy to get to from Shatt. That's why I posted it. Why have a cat pound on you for 30 minutes when this method I posted will take you to max skill in about 2 minutes?

Because as you already mentioned not everyone still has the relic quest.

Not really they announced it directly in a patch note awhile ago.
